Being a resident of the DMV area, I've had my fair share of car mishaps and service experiences that have left a lot to be desired. From a deer encounter to a string of unfortunate events with various service centers including Old Ox Auto's accidental damage during a routine fix, and a small garage's careless losing of my key, it’s safe to say I've seen the highs and lows of auto repair. However, my recent experience with Heritage Subaru, specifically with Sadari, has unequivocally restored my faith in car service centers in the area. Picture this: the DC heat was at its peak, and I found myself with a broken AC and rear bearings. Given the surprises this month, including a rather hefty $1k outflow due to registration and accidentally hitting a deer, I was apprehensive about the impending costs. But I knew I could trust Sadari, my regular support person at Heritage, to make it feasible for me. So, I drove the hour to Ellicot City to assess the damage. I did have high costs - but despite the initial quote leaning towards the steeper side, Sadari, the star of Heritage Subaru, was there to help me with incredible customer service. She genuinely empathized with my situation, understood my budget constraints, and took the initiative to engage her manager to explore all avenues for affordability. And not just that - the original car mechanic I worked with didn't originally find an issue, but Sadari pressed to find the cause and discovered the Compressor needed replacing (and that was why it was so unreliable). Even with major repairs needed, the service was executed with impressive efficiency, all within the very day! An hour's drive to Heritage Subaru might seem daunting to many, but when you’re guaranteed service of Sadari’s caliber, it’s a small price to pay. My experience serves as a testament to Sadari's dedication and commitment to customers. She's what genuine customer service should be - and even though I'm a woman, she never takes advantage of my lack of car knowledge. Quite the opposite - I always feel extremely supported. I’m not only thankful but now more than ever, convinced to make Heritage Subaru my go-to for any car-related needs. Thanks to Sadari, I can now cruise through DC without the fear of melting in the summer heat. If you're looking for a service center that won't xxxx up your car, look no further than Heritage Subaru. I came in to get my tire patched, to my dismay I need a whole new tire. I was so disappointed , however my service was exceptional! Wes , Lyle, Dennis, Mance and Kyrell were great! Have had two bad experiences with Robert Wiggington, Service Lane Manager. My 2 year old car with 20,000 miles on it has been in the shop since 7/25/22 due to a bad Thermal Control Valve waiting for par Service Lane Manager. My 2 year old car with 20,000 miles on it has been in the shop since 7/25/22 due to a bad Thermal Control Valve waiting for parts. First, Robert told me it was fine to drive my car when the service tech said it should not be driven as it could overheat. Today, I was asked to come in to sign new papers since I had the loaner for 30 days. When I got there, Robert came out and I proceeded to let him know that what we thought was bug splatter on the windshield was in fact a chip that someone tried to epoxy. I found this out when I washed the car and attempted to clean the bugs off the windshield and bumper. Trying to be honest, I let him know this today. He proceeded to tell me that is not true, "he detailed the car himself." The car was not detailed, it was vacuumed and had been run through the car wash and not dried as it was still wet. I had a friend with me who can confirm that. I wasn't accusing him as I thought they may have thought it was bug splatter just like I did and I was trying to be honest. He immediately attacked and told me it was not safe for me to drive the car with a tiny chip in the windshield and my insurance would have to pay for the windshield. Well, I didn't do it, it unknowingly was there when I picked the car up. So much for being honest and some much for good customer service in this situation. I guess I'm on the hook since I missed it, but I think it's dirty. More
