Emergency Service I just want to give a shout out to their excellent Service Manager, Maggie Popham and also Heather Wingerd from the service department. My Mazda CX-5 I just want to give a shout out to their excellent Service Manager, Maggie Popham and also Heather Wingerd from the service department. My Mazda CX-5 recently broke down on the side of the road in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon. Although their service department was booked, they took my car in and repaired it on the spot! So I was not left without a car and trying to figure what to do. They made me comfortable in the waiting room and the team even gave the car a wash! I appreciate so much the excellent service that I received and I will certainly be back when I need more service to my Mazda. More

Over time the noise got louder and louder and even my husband could hear it. I made an appointment with Philip and told him about this noise and that it sounded almost like a squeal. He explained that the noise was caused by the "squealer" hitting the rotor. He used an analogy of a 10 speed bike wheel to explain how my breaks worked. I often feel men in the automotive world talk down to me because I'm a woman. Philip didn't do that at all and made sure I was comfortable with the repair. He even let me walk back to see my old brake shoes and showed me what the new ones looked like. Thanks Philip! I"ll be back for sure!" More

While waiting for the technician to analyze my concerns, Philip made me a cup of his famous hot chocolate with marshmallow! Just what I needed on a chilly morning! After the technician analyzed the oil leak he informed me that the 710 Cap was not installed. The cap was not installed after I had the oil changed from a local Lube Center the previous week. I appreciate the honest professional staff and the timely service! More

I was able to jump start my Mazda Tribute, but it wouldn't restart after I shut it off. So my confusion was whether the battery could not hold a charge, or the alternator was not able to maintain the charge. So I took it to Heritage Mazda where I met Phil. He hooked it up to his test equipment and showed me that the alternator was putting out enough voltage to charge the battery, but the battery had a bad cell and could not hold the charge. This turned out to be a huge savings for me because the alternator is difficult to install on the 2001 Tribute. Phil got me a new battery and saved me time and money by not buying the alternator. I will return to Heritage if I ever have another problem. More

I had to keep putting air into the right rear tire, like once every 5 or 6 days. I took the car in and Philip was my service advisor. He told me that I must have hit a pothole or something because the inside portion of my rim was bent beyond repair. I told him I purchased road hazard protection when I bought the car. Phil called the insurance company and got BOTH the tire and the $600 alloy wheel replaced. All I had to do was come in and pick up my car. Phil took care of me and my car. Zoom-Zoom" More
Phil helped us out big time with our brakes! They were replaced just before a planned road trip with my wife. Phil saved me from doubling my shop visits and we were able to drive our road trip in peace. Quick turnaround and explained everything to us, making sure we knew what we were getting. More
Amazing Diagnostic Ear! I have a 2013 Mazda 3 which started making this very weird, very annoying noise. The best way to describe it, is that it sounded like a tuning fork. I have a 2013 Mazda 3 which started making this very weird, very annoying noise. The best way to describe it, is that it sounded like a tuning fork. After driving for approximately 15 minutes the tone would begin and remain for the duration of my trip. To try and pinpoint the noise, I had my daughter hang out the right and the left rear windows, with ipad in hand, while I drove circles in a parking lot. We were able to record the tone primarily coming from the rear, right side of the car. Since the tone was so bizarre I decided to take the ipad with me to the dealership, Heritage Mazda, and let a service person listen to it. My service manager, Philip, listened to the tone, ask me multiple questions about my trips and what would trigger the noise and came up with the diagnosis of a problem with the rear brakes. I agreed that it sounded plausible and we went ahead with the repair. Problem solved! Philip was amazing in the time he took to really listen to me and to listen to my recording and ask many insightful questions. Philip showed me my existing brake pads in comparison to new brake pad so I could see that they did indeed need to be replaced. Philip was a pleasure to work with and I will return to him when I need additional work. More
Very different from other dealers! I recently moved to Maryland and brought my Mazda 6 in for regular maintenance but also had some questions about whether everything in the maintenance I recently moved to Maryland and brought my Mazda 6 in for regular maintenance but also had some questions about whether everything in the maintenance schedule was really necessary (I come from a family that believes an oil change every 5,000 miles is sufficient for regular maintenance). Philip explained everything to me without being condescending, which was extremely refreshing--and I felt reassured that the costs were actually worth it. I hope to have this car for a long time and will request Philip when I bring it in for future service. More

I apologize for not driving a Mazda, a 2010 ford fusion instead. But I tried out of desperation, and Philip couldn't have been more helpful or professional. He hooked us up with an aftermarket windshield and had us back on the road in 2 hours. Couldn't have been more pleased. More
