I will never recommend this dealership even to a foe. I went there to buy mazda3. The sales person was nice and did his job very nicely. Then came the turning point. When we moved to the finance department went there to buy mazda3. The sales person was nice and did his job very nicely. Then came the turning point. When we moved to the finance department. The finance department took 4 hours to complete all the paper work. We got our car. After that, everyday the finance guy would call us and demand different documents from us. One fine day, he called us at his office. When we arrived he told us that the finance was not approved and we have to drop the car off. He could have told us this over the phone but he called us and told this. We had just got one car. We had to drive all the way back and get 2 cars to drop off this car. The finance guy knew how far we lived. After returning the car, we wanted our deposit back. We called the finance guy around 20 times a day for 7 days. But there was no response from his side. He never picked up calls, nor did he return calls after hearing the voice mails. We had to visit the dealership everyday for 5 days to get our money back. When we went there, they would keep us waiting for no reason, and would not tell what they were doing with my money. Finally they returned my money after 10 days. There is no good service available here. Only when you go to buy a car you will be treated well. Otherwise no one cares. I would suggest to reconsider you opinion if you are planning to visit this dealership. WORST DEALERSHIP EVER. More
The team at Russel Mazda was 100% helpful and prompt with my new purchase. There were no available cars with my specific criteria, so I was a little upset. They had another car but a more advanced options my new purchase. There were no available cars with my specific criteria, so I was a little upset. They had another car but a more advanced options on the lot. Mr.Goldsmith had given me a great deal on the car on the lot, even though it was a little more expensive and I drove away with a car that night. May Farris and Mr.Goldsmith were a great team and made my experience so easy. I would highly reccomend going to Russel Automotoive to purchase a new vehicle. I am so happy with my 2012 mazda6!! More
My salesman, Bob, was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive throughout the process and very helpful with connecting multiple Bluetooth devices to my new Mazda Grand Touring after the sale. Bob was not pushy in throughout the process and very helpful with connecting multiple Bluetooth devices to my new Mazda Grand Touring after the sale. Bob was not pushy in any way and i would recommend him to anyone looking for a smooth experience. The general sales manager, Bill (or "Goldie"), was extremely helpful and influential on the sale and helped me greatly when it came to ensuring I got what i was looking for for the price I wanted to pay. Jacob, in the financing department, was patient and worked with me very well to craft an extended warranty that was both affordable and on point with the type of protections I wanted from my warranty. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who helped with determining the protection service options that best suited me but, sadly, I can't recall at the moment. She was, however, very cheerful and a pleasure to speak with. I would strongly suggest that anyone interested in purchasing a Mazda make Russell Mazda in Catonsville their first stop! More
We did our research online so we came in, looking for a specific vehicle. Mr Sherman showed it to us, we test drove it, things were good, we got a good price on our trade in, we bought the new Mazda2, that specific vehicle. Mr Sherman showed it to us, we test drove it, things were good, we got a good price on our trade in, we bought the new Mazda2, that was that. They certainly did their darnedest to pressure us into the unnecessary add-ons, but my brother was having none of it, so they eventually dropped the games. Post-sales experiences with Russel Mazda, however, have been trouble enough that I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone I considered a good friend. With as long as we spent with their financial officer, you would think he would've made sure everything was signed at point-of-sale. No, of course not. A week or so later, I was called and required to return to the office (only 55 miles from my home) to sign something else. Turns out, it was on one of the original forms already signed. He couldn't have noticed the ommision from the start? The salesperson's responsibility there, I'd say. THEN there was the ongoing issue with my providing the title for the car we used as trade-in. I eventually got a copy from my local DMV and sent it to Russel, registered, return receipt requested, c/o Mr Sherman himself. I got the postcard back, signed, of course, and they STILL pestered me that they hadn't received it. What kind of record keeping does this outfit employ? They had the nerve to blame it on their New Girl who Didn't Know How to File It. They had it all along. The car is fine, gets great mileage, I just won't be going back to Russel for any maintenance issues, even the free oil changes they promised me. I will go to my local Mazda dealership for any future work. More
went in to buy a new Mazda cx9; if you do your homework and know what is a reasonable price- they wont waste your time with unecessary haggling; they will not tell you about all the incentives available fo and know what is a reasonable price- they wont waste your time with unecessary haggling; they will not tell you about all the incentives available for your car unless you bring it up yourself; but once you have all the information with you- the process is smooth and without unecessary back and forth negotiations; overall i am very pleased with the process; More
LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!! This dealership is the WORST!!! Bill Goldman (Sales Manager) was high-pressure, disrespectful, and dishonest. I felt uncomfortable from the second I walked in. Bill is a bully and a Bill Goldman (Sales Manager) was high-pressure, disrespectful, and dishonest. I felt uncomfortable from the second I walked in. Bill is a bully and a cheat. BEWARE!!! I had a much better experience at Heritage Mazda in Owings Mills (only 15 minutes away). I made my purchase there after being disgusted by the business practice of Russell. I'm making a VERY educated guess that the majority of the reviews below are falsified (actually written by dealer staff). Run, don't walk, away from this dealership!!! More

I went to numerous dealerships that kept declining me, not because i had bad credit, but because i had 1 vehicle already in my name with my father as a co-signer and informed all dealerships that he was g not because i had bad credit, but because i had 1 vehicle already in my name with my father as a co-signer and informed all dealerships that he was going to be taking over the payments. I didn't want to be taken off of the lease because i didn't want to go through the hassle and wanted to do my best to help my dad out. Well, when i thought all hope was loss, Jake called me and said they would like to try to help me out. I thought i'd give them a shot and the service when i walked in was exceptional! Everybody there treated me as if i were a family member! I wasn't there very long and they said i could take the car home that day and wait for an answer to see if the banks approve. Jake(internet sales associate) called me this morning and said i got APPROVED! I was so happy and could not ask for another dealership to work with! The staff at Russel all have great personalities and are willing to do all they can to help anyone out! It didn't really feel like i was at a dealership to be honest. It felt like i was working with my family members that were trying their best to help me out! I could not ask for more and i will definitely spread the word to EVERYBODY!!!!!!!! :) More
Well I had three vehicles in my scope, one from Subaru, Toyota and Mazda. The Mazda Tribute was what I was interested in but, Russel had sold all of them.....that made me feel two things; (1) the vehicle i Toyota and Mazda. The Mazda Tribute was what I was interested in but, Russel had sold all of them.....that made me feel two things; (1) the vehicle is as good as the on-line ratings claimed (2) Russel must have a good reputation to sell out on any model. I met with Bob and he answered all my questions, without pressuring me to consider another vehicle. We were standing near the showroom doors and there was a 2012 Mazda5 touring there and it caught my eye. I asked Bob about it, he told me how many features were added since the last model (2010 Mazda skipped a year to add more imporvements) so then we took a test drive and I was really impressed. Initially there wasn't any special incentive financing available on that model so I went to my credit union to see what I could arrange. Got a 3.0% APR on 54 or 60 months. Went back to make the deal and Greg (?) Bob's sales manager came over to introduce himself and asked me if I'd be interested if his team could find a better finance rate. I agreed I would, they did (1.9% @ 60) and we made the deal, 50-60 minutes later I was sitting in my new Mazda5 with Bob as he went over the checklist and showed me all the features. I've only had the vehicle for one day but I am just so very happy with it and the treatment from the dealership. They are without a doubt now my favorite dealership. A little history about me, I literally dread buying a new car. I hate having to work with a salesperson who has to take the offer to the manager, comes back with a new counteroffer and then we do this back and forth until the deal is where either the dealership or I am comfortable and we finally agree on the deal. I told Bob this when I first introduced myself, that I know their job is to sell the product for the best price they can get and I know that they have to make a profit so I let him know I didn't want to go through all that and if you give me a price that is giving you /the dealership a fair profit while also letting me come away with a lesser price than close to MSRP I'll be happy. Bob and his manager respected my wishes and did exactly that. So I felt we all won and the deal was adequate savings for me and the dealership made it's profit and everyone smiled! I've bought about 6 new cars in my lifetime before this one and I have NEVER felt that good when I drove off. These folks are great pr for Mazda! More
