I found a car online at Heritage Mazda Catonsville, had it inspected by an independent third party inspection service and decided to buy it, in cash without a trade-in. The Salesman asked for $1000 downpa it inspected by an independent third party inspection service and decided to buy it, in cash without a trade-in. The Salesman asked for $1000 downpayment to hold the car while the wire transfer for the remainder of the price was being processed, which I paid. Within minutes of paying the downpayment to hold the car, GM Mike McGuire called to tell me that he had another interested buyer who was trading in a vehicle, would be financing a loan through the dealership and was more likely to bring the car to him later for maintenance, since I live further away. He informed me that because he could make more money on that transaction and future maintenance, he would not honor my downpayment and was going to sell the car to this other buyer, despite the fact that I had already paid the downpayment requested by his salesman to hold the car for me. Traditional brick-and-mortar dealerships may soon be obsolete as online retailers like Carvana and Vroom expand their inventory and gain market share, and manufacturers like Tesla, Volvo and Polestar move to selling cars directly to customers without dealership middlemen inflating prices, but we don’t have to endure unscrupulous dealerships while we wait for traditional dealerships to become obsolete. We deserve better than this, so vote with your wallets – choose to bring your business to those businesses who continue to focus on people above profits. More

I have been in contact with Mazda Catonsville for my new CX-5 2023 since August. Anthony, our sales representative has been exceptionally helpful and patient with all my questions, helping me all along the CX-5 2023 since August. Anthony, our sales representative has been exceptionally helpful and patient with all my questions, helping me all along the way till my possession of new car yesterday. I never felt pressured by him into buying the car, rather it was always patient answers with utmost sincerity, great test drive etc. Thanks to Adam from finance department as well as he was also very helpful as both worked very late on a Friday night to finalize the deal.
