As we informed you during your visit, Hyundai Warranty required new tires on your vehicle prior to approving any mechanical repairs. Thus, we could not repair the drivetrain issue your vehicle was experiencing until your tires were replaced; the tires had to be changed due to their extremely worn, bald condition. hello Scott. first off during my visit i was not informed about anything at all. I have the papers from the service department that states that the rear differential is fine and in good working condition and that the rear works fine.nothing was said about the warranty to me during my visit.and if you say that nothing was wrong with my car, then why would you have to say anything to me about the warranty not covering the differential because of my tires.there would be nothing to be repaired by the warranty if nothing was wrong like you say correct?however, when i did come to pick my car up the same paper that said that everything was OK ,did state that my tires did need replaced but that was all it said..it wasn't until i called back and informed you that i had taken my car to Thomson Hyundai on Merritt blvd in Dundalk MD, and they said they had to replace the differential because it was completely shot, that you then said that it wouldn't of been covered.i am shocked that you would tell someone that there car was fine and then send them home knowing that something so major was wrong.that is a safety hazard that could of jeopardized me and my family's lives.not one word was said that anything was wrong.i was told to my face that my car was fine and you obviously knew that it wasn't.and then you reply to this review and say that you told me about the warranty not being covered on the rear during my visit when you know that inst true.i understand your trying to save face but it shouldn't be at the expense of your costumers safety.i already had a major accident because of a problem with the traction control.even then you said you found nothing wrong but a month later you were replacing the third sensor withing 5 months.i don't need another accident because someone chooses not to tell me what is wrong with my car.thank god i went to Thomson because i knew that what i was told by your dealership was wrong. Thompson called me withing 20 minutes of having my car on the lift and told me i had to have my rear differential replace.they saved me from what could have turned into something tragic for me and my family.i have nothing but nice things to say about the sales department at heritage but service is in need of reconstructing because the way i was lied to was just plain wrong.you called me after i posted my first review and said you would investigate this situation and follow up with me the following day.however i never received a phone call nor did anyone follow up with me.no one could take the time to call me back like they said they would but you sure took the time to post a response to this review.and your response is false.i am very disappointed with the way i have been treated.i am starting to wonder if i have been lied to in the past when yous said you found nothing wrong with my traction control even after replacing the same sensor 3 times back to back.i have never had a vehicle that i have had so many problems with and i bought this one with 16,500 miles on it.i regret purchasing this car from heritage.thank you for your response, i just wanted to clear this whole situation up.i don't want anyone who reads this review to be mislead.please be careful and do your homework when buying a vehicle so that you do not have to go through the stress that i have had to endure without much help at all from the place i bought the car. THANKS

Meredith, Thank you for your feedback about Heritage Hyundai Towson. We are sorry to hear you were disappointed during your recent visit to our Service Department. When we tested the airbag sensors on your vehicle, there was no communication between them as indicated by the code printed. Communication between these sensors is vital for the airbags to be connected and working properly. We apologize if this reasoning was not effectively communicated but we recommended these replacements to ensure the safety of you and your vehicle. In these types of situations, we must replace the wiring instead of only repairing. Heritage Hyundai Towson has repaired Ms. Walters’ Hyundai Sonata which is under the manufacturer warranty, and she is currently still driving the car. We offered to trade her car in for a brand new 2013 Hyundai Sonata with the same payment as her pre-owned 2011 Sonata last week, but did not hear back. We have since called and e-mailed the customer several times with no response from her. We urge Ms. Walters to contact Scott Feinstein, General Manager, Heritage Hyundai Towson, 410-832-2475 at her earliest convenience so that we may set up a time to trade the car in for a brand new one.
