We drove to Towson from DC when we heard that Heritage had a Tucson Hybrid with the the SEL Convenience package we wanted. He promised to call me if someone else bought the car we wanted while we were driving up. Test drove it and bought it in one afternoon. Worst experience. Had a 3PM appointment set up with Jack Coco Sr. today. Got a phone call from Walt Mcdonald last night introducing himself, confirming the appointment and telling me he wants this to be my best experience ever when I come in. He also stated that he will make sure salesman Jack Coco Sr will be ready for us when my wife and I arrive. My wife and I had already chosen a 2020 Tucson and had set up the out the door price with salesman Jack Coco. Well when we got at the dealership Mr Coco was not waiting for us but was helping another customer. He did come over and say his side partner Karl Smith would help us. We told Mr Smith we were here to test drive the specific 2020 Tucson. He began to look on the computer and ask us what specific things we were looking for in a Tucson. We told him we were here for a specific one and I gave him the vin number and said it should be here waiting for us to drive. He then stated ok let me go get it, and that it may be blocked in and he may have to move a few cars to get it out. He then pulled around the same color Tucson and stated are you ready. The vehicle looked like it was in a war zone. It had a large dent in hood, had damage to drivers side and rear like it was hit by another car. When I saw all the damage I stated Im not driving this car looking like this and paying over 25,000. I would expect this from some fly by night dealership, not a well known one.His reply was, Its a used car.. Then I looked at the sticker on the window and the vehicle was a 2019 Tucson with a different vin number. It wasnt even the same car. He tried to switch it on us. It however was the same color..lol. When I questioned him about it not being the car we made arrangements to drive and buy. He stated that the vehicle might have been sold or it still could be on the lot somewhere. No matter what we had an appointment but nothing was ready. The car wasn't even pulled out or even washed. At this point my wife and I left this dealership. No one called to see what happened or showed any concern. Mr McDonalds words have fallen on deaf ears. He needs to supervise his sales department a little better. Good luck and buyer beware. More
Stan helped us get into a 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5. He's easy to communicate with, does not pressure in any easy and is extremely knowledgable.
