UPDATE TO THE RESPONSE FROM BUSINESS! Still zero stars and if I could award a negative amount of stars they would be far into the negatives! The responder apparently has a "copy and paste"response and either did not care to or simply did not fully understand my review and said it is not their business practice to hold cars. That was NOT the case in this instance. A certified bank check made payable to Heritage Hyundai was faxed to the salesman to verify the intended purchase of the vehicle. They were specifically told the night of pending sale that if there was any possibility of losing the Hyundai Tucson desired my fiancé was happy to drive up to Towson, over an hour away from his job. Had the salesman not put my fiancé on hold to ask his manager if brief postponement to the next evening was approved based on documents that were provided by my fiancé, and had the manager not APPROVED the postponement to the next evening AND, had the salesman not come back to the phone that night told my fiancé that YES,THEY WOULD HOLD THE CAR UNTIL THE FOLLOWING NIGHT for the sale to take place my fiancé would have hopped in his car right then and there and driven the distance up to Towson so as not to lose the vehicle he had already gotten the certified check to pay for, provided the VIN number to his credit union for the over and above loan amount or, provided all the vehicles information to his car insurance company. Note to this business do not make promises you don't keep! Also, don't have your online responder respond to a review without verifying what had been agreed upon by your staff at your dealership! Word of mouth especially in our current times of online technology can be devastating however, even without online review this tale of sale is being relayed. Regardless of this affair with Heritage Hyundai of Towson and their staff, a blue Hyundai Tucson was bought. The purchased blue Hyundai Tucson that my fiancé bought was a year newer (a 2023), in better condition and had more bells and whistles than the one this dealership would not hold per their prior commitment to us. Not only was it a year newer, a better vehicle with more bells and whistles but, it was purchased for about $2000 less than this dealership was expecting my fiancé to pay. BUYERS BEWARE...this dealership cannot be trusted nor can they admit to making a mistake. Lastly, this dealership might want to advise their sales and management staff that their policy is not to hold cars for anyone as apparently staff doesn't know this!
