I brought the car in Friday night for a Saturday 9:30AM appointment. I called around Saturday 11:30AM after not hearing from dealership. At that time, service rep was busy and unable to answer call so I left my phone number with the receptionist for a call back. Never received call after waiting 30 minutes so called again to wait on the phone 15 minutes before hanging up and calling again. This time asked to speak with service manager and was on hold for another 10 minutes. Called again and this time was forwarded to service manager cell phone who passed me on to my service rep to learn car passed inspection but they recommended tire replacement. Asked when tires were last replaced and was asked to hold for another 10 minutes before replying they were unable to access my vehicle info from a different Honda dealership due to privacy issues. Upon picking up car, they didn't put on my Maryland plates that were sitting in plain sight on the front passenger seat, and them saying they would do this at Friday drop off. Issues 1. Service rep was unresponsive by never calling back on each and every opportunity. Service rep said they entered wrong number for my customer info but I was looking at the iPad when they entered vehicle info on Friday and verified info was correct. Also, service rep had sold a car to my parents recently and knew them by name so he could have taken a minute to look up my parents contact info in attempt to get in touch with me. Further, I left my phone number with receptionist multiple times which doesn't seem to get passed on to service people so WHY do they keep asking for a phone number. Lastly, I had to call back one last time when sales rep said he'd call me back due to bad connection with manager's cell phone which happened well after him saying he corrected the phone number. 2. Had a much different experience when I took my other vehicle to Toyota for a MD inspection. They were helpful, responsive and cared. Toyota MD car inspection was $85 compared to Honda MD car inspection of $112.50. Toyota fully cleaned the inside and outside of the van while Honda did a poor job of cleaning just the exterior of car. My Honda Civic windows and car body were spotty and my son got wet getting into the car. While Toyota had no problem putting the MD plates on the vehicle, and Toyota service rep walked me out to car to remove plastic seat protection and paper floor mat before driving away. Honda service rep ignored me when I arrived to pick up vehicle and I needed to clean up after them by throwing out the ripped paper floor mat left in the Civic. 3. Honda service never attached MD plates to car even though the service person put the request on the IPad when I first dropped off the car on Friday. Appears they are unwilling to do anything that comes at no cost. 4. Service rep was was unable to answer why transmission flush is over a couple hundred dollars in cost and it took another service rep to explain the process at Friday drop off. Also service rep had me wait another 10 minutes before indicating that they can't look up previous vehicle history from another Honda dealership. 5. I lost all confidence in the Honda product due to this lousy experience and question why would I ever buy a Honda again after driving Honda Civics for over 20 years. We were thinking about buying a Honda to replace our Toyota van but that is definitely not going to happen. Toyota dealership provides a much more knowledgeable and attention to detail service team. Honda Civic Paint Recall After waiting 6 months for an appointment to get my car painted under a Honda recall, I was finally able to get it painted. I was to have my car at t After waiting 6 months for an appointment to get my car painted under a Honda recall, I was finally able to get it painted. I was to have my car at the dealership by 9 am on Monday morning and it would be returned to me by Friday at 5 pm. I dropped my car off on Sunday night. I called on Friday morning at 10 am to see when my car would be ready. I was told by Rick that he would call the body shop and would call me right back. No one ever mentioned that there was not an onsite body shop. About 20 minutes later I received a call from Lynn at All Pro Body Shop. She informed me that my car would not be ready until Monday. The body shop does not work overtime or on weekends. I called Rick and he said he could supply me with a courtesy car and would call me when it was ready. I did not hear from him by 5 pm and did not receive a call back when I left a message for him. I went to the dealership and he said no car was available, but magically as I was standing there one appeared. I was able to use the car for the weekend. On Monday, I received a call at 3:30 pm from Lynn saying my car was ready. I went to the dealership at 5 pm and waited for a few minutes while the cashier studied her flash cards before she acknowledged me and I waited for another 15 minutes while the one person working helped another customer. He finally helped me and told me my car was out front somewhere and gave me the keys. I told him I wanted to pull it in the garage and see it after I read another review on this website and he said OK. He also had no idea I had a courtesy car. I looked around out front for my car and did not see it. It was out back next to the car wash. Good thing I have a key fob that works. All Pro did a good job. The paint looks great. Take home message: communication and customer service are severely lacking, there is no on site body shop. Even though I was not a paying customer, I still should have been treated like a valuable Honda customer. More

Not only did the take the car in for the oil change & scheduled maintenance immediately while I waited, but they completed in one-half the time they said it would take. First, it took quite awhile to have ticket written up when I dropped the car off the night before. The next day, I arrived, and it took 45 minutes to locate my keys. When the car was finally delivered as complete, and I had paid for everything due, I left to run errands. I was surprised and frustrated to walk around the back of the vehicle to get groceries and notice the tail light was not repaired. Makes me wonder if the other items were done either. I am losing faith in the dealership. More

Oil Change Experience I bought my 2007 Ridgeline at the same location Bel Air Honda is at now and have had it serviced there for 7 years. I usual do not make an appointmen I bought my 2007 Ridgeline at the same location Bel Air Honda is at now and have had it serviced there for 7 years. I usual do not make an appointment for oil changes and just drop in. It usually takes 45mins. to 1 hour. I have been on a tight schedule recently and had tried several times to drop by and get my oil changed but other things came up so I decided to use Bel Air Honda's "Express" oil change and to make things more predictable I made my appointment online thinking at the worse it would take an hour. As I checked in my truck I was told it would be about an hour since I was going to get the complementary car wash which would take an additional 10 minutes. To make a long story short from the time I got checked in (which took 10 minutes waiting to get checked in) to the time I got back in my truck 2 hours had elapsed. After 1-1/2 hours or so I asked the status and was told it would be around in 5 minutes or so. I don't know what was going on in the service department but it would have been nice to have been kept updated on the status and help manage expectations a little better vs. me having to go ask. There a any number of places that can provide that service in a timely manner. More
