About a couple of weeks after the oil change I started hearing this noise that once the ignition was released, a rubbing noise. To make a long story short, when I took my car back to service the mechanic upon hearing the noise told me it was my vts which is I believe the part that holds the oil, and he further informed after the car sits for a while I will hear the noise. The mechanic informed me that he was just going to take my car in the back, and check my oil. I was surprise when the advisor Bill Maurath came to me with a 1,700 estimate to repair my car, he further informed they will usually need to replace the chain as well. Upon hearing this I refused the diagnosis although Mr. Bill presented the diagnosis as something that needed to be done practically telling me that I could soon be without a car, if I did not consider doing the repairs. Apparently, the mechanic had already started taking my car apart because when I decline the repairs, it was about a half hour before my car was returned to me. Mr. Bill further informed me that I would need to pay $89 for them checking my car out. I informed Mr. Bill that I did not sign any paper, or agree to anything, and the mechanic informed me that he was only taking my car in the back to check the oil. As I was discussing my concern with my daughter who informed me to find out if heritage service put conventional oil in my car, and the car dealer where I purchase the car informed me that if any oil other than synthetic it would mess my engine.. Upon my checking my receipt confirmed heritage did put conventional oil in my car. Heritage still will not take responsibility for this error that as a car dealers they should have known you only put synthetic oil in a car especially with high mileage. A lady I did not get her name when I was getting a copy of the receipt from the cashier wanted to argue the point that my Honda with high mileage calls for coventional oil. After I went and had another oil change with the synthetic oil, the noise is almost gone. But Heritage Honda, Parkville, md cost me a lot of trouble, and almost my car. More

Waste of time and money I took my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for a fluid leak. I specified at the time the appointment was made that I wanted a rental car and they stated "We rent cars." When I arrived, I was told the repair would require a "diagnostic" at $126.00 before the cost of repairs. They do not rent cars, they send you to Enterprise. After waiting an hour for a pick up from Enterprise, ostensibly because Enterprise didn't have any cars available, I was charged $59 for a day rental. When I questioned Enterprise about the price, they said their charges change several times per day based on vehicle availability. I received a call from the Service Advisor at 3:30 to tell me the leak was due to the oil filter and I needed rear brakes and rotors and brake fluid change with an estimate of $791.13. I asked him to complete the oil filter repair and I would call him back about the brakes. I called at approx. 4:30 to say I did not want the brake work completed and would pick up the car when I returned the rental in the am (left message on Jerome's voicemail) I called the next morning at 9am to make sure car was ready - had to leave another voice mail. Needless to say when I arrived, paperwork was not available and I waited again. I don't think the repair had been started. Jerome's question to me was "what's the outcome"? Obviously he had not listened to either voice message. I called 2 shops for brake estimates. They were $365and $395. Both less than 50% of the Heritage estimate. Save your time and money. More

They've been a good service team in the past, but this really stepped up the game to GREAT, proving that if you make the choice to rely on the car you bought from Heritage, they can be relied on when that car isn't living up to expectations. Our car, which we purchased at Heritage, wouldn't start on a Friday night. I called Sarah first thing on Saturday morning and arranged to have the car towed to Heritage so that I could pick up a rental and see if the issue is covered under warranty. (We're a one car family with two working parents and a 2-year old; and this particular upcoming week was a big deadline for one of our jobs!) My roadside assistance had a major miscommunication and it turned out that after waiting for 4 hours for them to arrive, they would not be able to have me to the dealership by 3:00 when the service department closed! I called Sarah and she told me to talk to Chad in sales and they would have a loaner car waiting for me. When the roadside assist blew yet another estimate, we called and talked to Chad, who was friendly and told us that if we couldn't get this figured out to call him at 5:30 and he would see what he could do. The tow truck finally arrived and when we finally got to the dealership at 5:30 p.m. and dropped our car off at service. The loaner car was waiting outside the sales department and they had me ready to go in a few minutes. Sarah, Chad, and Heritage made a frustrating day a whole lot better and made sure that our child can get to pre-K, my wife (who works freelance) won't disappoint a client on a major project, and I can get to work. This is the kind of service you dream of in a dealership. More

I decided to go to Heritage for the first time for a repetitious repair issue that was not getting resolved by other service centers. Tommy got the car in and ID'd the problem within two days. He was straightforward with repair costs/warranty information, and was quick to respond to my questions/concerns- taking into consideration my thoughts and past experiences that could lead to additional issues with the vehicle. He returned the car in great condition- issue entirely resolved, and only one additional repair- which I requested- completed, and completed well. Kudos to Tommy and team- I was worried taking my car to another Chrysler service center in Maryland, but now have all the confidence in the world knowing there's a high-quality repair site at Heritage! More
