Classic Bait & Switch-Disappointed, Humilated & Frustrated I found a vehicle online through my credit union buying service. I was emailed a buying certificate and within an hour received a phone call and sever I found a vehicle online through my credit union buying service. I was emailed a buying certificate and within an hour received a phone call and several emails from the dealership inviting me to come in for a test drive. I replied to the phone call and emails indicating that I would be there at 3:00 pm the next day. I thought it was odd that I did not receive any confirmation by phone or email that 3:00 pm was OK but my wife and I went as promised. When we arrived and introduced ourselves to the salesman who had called, he didn't remember us and said he was off yesterday. Huh? I gave him my pricing certificate and as we sat at his desk he struggled to find the vehicle in the computer and then told us it was sold YESTERDAY afternoon. After apologizing, the salesman and his manager said they wanted to make it up to us. They proceeded to offer us a vehicle with 22,000 more miles at a higher price but stressed that it was a much better warranty. They were selling us an extended warranty on a vehicle we did not want. Then they tried to sell us a new car with no miles and for more money, of course. What an insult to our intelligence.This was a classic case of bait & switch. It was disappointing, humiliating and frustrating. Beware of this dealership and their deceptive sales practices!! More
