I made an appointment to have my car inspected and oil changed, also to have the screeching brakes checked and problems with the steering wheel shaking if going over 40 mph when applying the brakes. Trish changed, also to have the screeching brakes checked and problems with the steering wheel shaking if going over 40 mph when applying the brakes. Trish was very helpful she had the mechanic check out all the things we discussed and she came back to me and explained everything that was wrong and what they were going to do and the cost. Also left me know anything that needed to be done for it to pass inspection. Very helpful and very pleasant and personable. Some additional repairs have to be done but parts had to be ordered, she explained that the parts department would call me and let me know when they are in and I am to contact Trish to set up an appointment to bring my car in for the additional work to be done. She also stated she will arrange for me to have a loner car for these repairs so I don't have to take off work. More

I was driving from Pittsburgh to NYC. My Grand Cherokee broke down about thirty miles from Harrisburg. I looked up several Jeep dealers in the area. Freedom was very friendly over the phone (Trish Hollenb broke down about thirty miles from Harrisburg. I looked up several Jeep dealers in the area. Freedom was very friendly over the phone (Trish Hollenbaugh) and recommended a tow company. I had to spend the night, but Trish and Freedom worked quickly to get my car fixed by lunch time. Trish was the best: very personable, friendly, and kept me up to date on everything as they examined my car. I didn't get taken advantage of either; the cost to repair was much less than I had feared it might be. More
I have been using this dealership for several months now, and the service is always very good. The staff is very helpful and they do a good job. I really appreciate the fact that they always wash my car aft and the service is always very good. The staff is very helpful and they do a good job. I really appreciate the fact that they always wash my car after servicing it. When I first moved to Harrisburg several years ago, I tried the dealership that occupied these premises before, but was not impressed, so I took the car to another dealer several miles from my home. Since the new ownership? took over, the service has been very good, and I appreciate the fact that I don't have to drive several miles and then wait in the dealership for service. Would highly recommend. More
Went in for an inspection and grinding front brakes. Told the noise was from the back brakes not the front brakes. Replaced the back brakes at a alot of $$$. Next day, heard the same noise in the fron Told the noise was from the back brakes not the front brakes. Replaced the back brakes at a alot of $$$. Next day, heard the same noise in the front. Took it back and all they could do for me is tell me to take it back to the original place I got my latest brakes on the front. Also had a Chrysler rep there and not willing to do ANYTHING for me. I'm still looking for a reputable dealer in the Harrisburg area because these are guys are nice, but as slimey as it gets. They got my $$$ and then didn't care about anything else, especially not fixing the problem. NEVER AGAIN! More

I back in to be serviced for the second time. My expierence this time was much better than the first. I was able to get my car in quick and easy. I called Evelyn this am and told her about my problems with the car and she told me to just ask for Allen and he will take care of it. Freedom Crysler Jeep fixed my cars problems quickly today and they gave me a very nice rental to use. I was extremely satisfied with everything the dealership did for me today! Hopefully my vehicle won't need serviced anytime soon, but when it does I'm sure freedom will do a great job again. Thank you Evelyn for answering your cell phone this morning on your day off and thank you freedom crysler jeep for being so friendly! I don't know any other owner of a dealership that would give you thier personal cell phone number, and I really appreciate it! This definetly changed my thoughts about freedom crysler jeep for the better! More
I had my 2003 Jeep inspected today. My service contact was Dave Travis who was very friendly and responsive to my questions. After my inspection and emissions test was completed, Dave stated that a few i was Dave Travis who was very friendly and responsive to my questions. After my inspection and emissions test was completed, Dave stated that a few items needed to be done since my vehicle had 127, 000 miles. We reviewed the items and I stated that at least two of the items were completed and the third was not. He provided prices and no pressure to get this done right away. Dave did provide me his contact name and number for when I would schedule the needed items to be serviced. Overall the experience was good, and very helpful. More
Had Van inspected June, 2010. Front brakes were 4B, Rear were 7B, both qualified as passing inspection. Decided to minimize cost of new brakes all at once, so I set appointment to have front brakes done on were 7B, both qualified as passing inspection. Decided to minimize cost of new brakes all at once, so I set appointment to have front brakes done on Jan. 31, 2011 with the intention of doing the rear brakes during the upcoming inspection in June, 2011. Only 8700 additional miles since last inspection. Waited for 1 hour 20 minutes for them to come out to tell me that the front brakes were now at 3B and the front rotors would either need turned down or replaced. To do brakes and turn rotors, cost would be $280 plus tax. If it needed new rotors, the cost would be $480 plus tax. Believing that it would only need the rotors turned, I told them to proceed with the front brake replacement. Indeed it did only need the rotors turned so my final bill was $297.44. After now being there for a total of 3 1/2 hours I reluctantly paid that price. After having a chance to think, that nearly $300 for a front brake job was excessively high, I decided to call Brenner Chrysler and without telling them the circumstances, asked for a price to do the exact same work. They gave me a low end price of $180 plus tax and a high end price of $210 plus tax if there were any problems. That meant I paid from $87 to $117 more at Freedom than I would have at Brenner. I then called the Firestone dealer where I purchase tires and asked them for a price, again without giving out any ideas other than I was just a customer calling for a price. They quoted me one price of $158.99 including tax. A savings over Freedom's price of $138. I then called Freedom and spoke with Alan , the Service Manager to ask if there was a mistake in my cost or whether all their prices are that high. He told me he would check things out and get back to me. That was over a week ago and I still have not heard from him. If that is how you operate, don't count on seeing me again even though I bought this vehicle from you. Being a retiree, I have enough trouble trying to make ends meet with the Government taking all my money, I don't need to deal with someone else taking the crumbs that are left! Get competitors prices before you have any work done here if you have any work done here! ** UPDATE - 2/11/11 ** Within 3 hours of posting the above comments, I received a call from Alan, the Service Manager, telling me he had done his research and found that their price for new brakes was high for our area based on other dealers in the area and that they now would be adjusting that cost along with any others that may be out of line for the area. Most had already been done but one or two may have been missed. I am told that Alan was not aware of my review at the time of his call. He also said they would send me a refund check for the amount I was charged above the norm. The refund amount he quoted was fair and acceptable to me. I also received an Email and later a phone call from John Bobo, their Internet Coordinator, in his effort to make sure that my concerns were being responded to and that I was taken care of in a satisfactory manner. I assured him that I was! I wanted to do this follow up so that I could make a statement that the real issue here is not that they may have made a mistake in some of their pricing for certain repairs, for that can happen to every business. The real issue and what is most important to me is how Freedom responded to my concerns in a complete and expeditious manner. Their response to the situation was not only satisfactory, it was done in a professional manner. They accepted my negative review, corrected the problem and turned the entire situation into a positive experience. First of all, I must commend DealerRater.com, the company that devised this online ability for customers to either tell of their satisfaction or of their displeasure with Auto Dealerships and the service they provide. I truly wish they would expand the types of businesses for which they provide this service. It would provide Consumers of all service types with an ability to praise the good work that is done or to vent their frustration when it is not. Secondly, I want to commend Freedom Toyota Scion of Harrisburg, for being professional enough to implement this feedback system on their website showing that they are not afraid of negative feedback being displayed because they know they will be there to correct any problems that may arise. Freedom Management and Staff, thank you all for your dedication to ensuring that my visit with you was a satisfactory experience. I will see you around June for my annual inspection!! More
