You know it is a good place of business if the employees look happy to be working there and are working hard. In any case, you might pay a bit extra to get your oil changed but you will know that they are doing their diligence to make sure your vehicle is in good operating condition. Their very comfortable customer lounge area is indicative of their level of customer service. More

Great Service at Herb Gordon Subaru I've been bringing my cars to Herb Gordon for about a year now. I originally bought both of my Subarus at Wilkins but refuse to go back there due to s I've been bringing my cars to Herb Gordon for about a year now. I originally bought both of my Subarus at Wilkins but refuse to go back there due to screw ups time and time again. It takes me a little longer to get to Herb Gordon but scheduling is easy and they always have a loaner car for me. There was a error in confirming my scheduled appointment during my last visit but service advisor Rodney Rogers took care of things getting my car in, arranging a loaner and even getting me a discount where he could. There are lots of choices for people to take their cars for service and occasionally mistakes happen. Rodney appears to have excellent customer service and problem solving skills. I'll keep going back to Herb Gordon. More

Most recently, I was deeply impressed and grateful because Rodney Rogers and others welcomed me and my friendly pup for a routine service visit. (Subaru having dogs as ambassadors of “love” made us right at home.) But wait. There’s more. The mechanic met with me and reviewed an issue he identified, which was a logical explanation for a question I had raised about my oil. Getting answers and validation so easily was reassuring! Great diagnostic skill. In lieu of having to reschedule and revisit at a later date, Rodney and Manager Greg Edwards went above and beyond by identifying immediate repair. What great consideration and customer care! They provided a loaner car and in less than 24 hrs. had my car ready. Hands down, Herb Gordon is far better than the dealership here in MD where I originally purchased my first and second Subarus. Truly, the personable and professional culture and Rodney going above and beyond places them at top of the list for Subaru servicing and my future purchases. In this day and age, kindness counts. They see to that. Rodney is a gem of a guy, and devoted to results for his customers. Thank you! More
Nope! Would not take my car in again. I really didn't want to leave this review for Herb because of great reviews and feedbacks from my friends and Subaru enthusiasts. As a Subaru Ambassad I really didn't want to leave this review for Herb because of great reviews and feedbacks from my friends and Subaru enthusiasts. As a Subaru Ambassador myself, I have recommended people to this dealership and now I am not so sure anymore. I took my 2015 Subaru WRX in for diagnosis of an AC issue. It is a 4 year Subaru that has less than 23K miles on it. Granted, a car that is 4 years old with this little miles shouldn't have any AC issues. I already got the refrigerant refilled a year prior at Herb and this year, the AC completely stopped working. I understand that I no longer have warranty at this point and I contacted Subaru of America and they told me they would work with me. After diagnosis, Herb told me that there is a leak in the evaporator (a small radiator inside the dashboard that provides cold air for AC). They quoted me $1800 including labor and parts to fix the issue. Now, my Subaru is modded but they are all engine modifications. None of the mods would explain why the AC broke down in this car. The service rep made it sound like engine modifications caused the AC to die and it needs much more than whatever it is to fix the issue. I was extremely upset. SoA later contacted me and said they would give me $750 towards the repair if I get my car fixed at Herb. Now that is still over $1000 out of pocket. At this point, I decided to pick up my car and fix it somewhere else. When I went to pickup my car, the service rep ignored me. I waited over 30 minutes for them to pull up my car. After I got my car back, one of the plugs under the dash was unplugged (unprofessional). After this incident, the service rep followed up with me via text and email asking for a good review and feedbacks. I responded with exactly happened and it has been over 1 month, I have yet to hear back from the dealership. It seems to me that they only care when you give them good reviews and feedbacks. They don't care about you if you don't do work there or provide them with constructive criticisms. I did take this car to a local mechanic and we fixed this issue with a little over $400, less than 4 times the amount Herb asked for ($200 for parts and $200 for labor). The core was replaced under 3 hours. Now I am not saying Herb doesn't do a good job, but quoting $1800 for a job that costs $400 shows me how greedy this dealership is. I was going to purchase a Subaru Ascent here, but now I will take my business elsewhere. I do not want to give my money to a dealership that does not care about me or my car. More

Michael Goodman was a pleasure to work with. He was able to meet our scheduling needs, explained services clearly and provided top notch customer service. I wish I lived closer to Herb Gordon, but it's worth the trek for this type of reliable service and customer care. More
