Great customer service made up for frustrating situation I heard a strange noise on the way to bringing in my 2015 Legacy for service. It took a while and a couple of trips to the dealership but the problem I heard a strange noise on the way to bringing in my 2015 Legacy for service. It took a while and a couple of trips to the dealership but the problem was ultimated identified and I required a warranty replacement of my transmission. While this caused frustration, Michael did a great job of updating me on progress, quickly providing me with a loaner, and being as accommodating as any one could expect. More

Mike got the work scheduled quickly and I was able to get in and out with no problems. We went by the book and he didn't try to "upsell" me on unnecessary maintenance. I was offered a loaner car without even having to ask for it, and that too was handled really well. A nice, low mileage 2017 forester allowed me to run errands all day while the worked on my ride. Car was done on time, and price was as quoted. I don't even live around here, and Mike treated me like I've been a lifetime customer of their shop. Nice work. More
Exceptional Service Advising 12/12/2017 I arrived 0830 hours at Herb Gordon Subaru. The automatic door would not open and the Service Advisor Michael Goodman came and opened the s 12/12/2017 I arrived 0830 hours at Herb Gordon Subaru. The automatic door would not open and the Service Advisor Michael Goodman came and opened the service lane doors. Micheal then did a complete vehicle check, with me, as we walked around my car in the service lane. After we completed what Michael said was an express multi point safety inspection on the vehicle, he quickly got my car in for a routine oil changed that I had scheduled for an appointment. When the mechanic had my car in the shop, he found some suspension work that was concerning and would need to be corrected. Michael spoke to me in such layman terms, even a 79 year old grandmother could comprehend what needed to be addressed. I was not prepared for such costly repairs and I was going out of town in a few days. Micheal and I came up with a plan to get this work done after the holidays and that my car was safe for my 4 hour trip. He even showed me and explained how I could fit into my budget and vehicle maintenance plan.Being a loyal Subaru owner for decades now, I thought this was service only found in years forgot. I recommend if you have a Subaru that needs service, take it to Michael Goodman, truly exceptional Service Advisor. Thanks again Michael and see you soon, Wilma Matilda Palma More

Both Ken Hanscom and Vitale Khlebniekov are hugely knowledgeable and thoroughly courteous in every respect. The facility is clean, comfortable and convenient. Even the machine coffee is good. I just wish they hadn't gotten rid of their nitrogen generator. I fill my tires with nitrogen, and it's difficult to get it done elsewhere. Hal Stein More
Excellent service, great communication Brought our car to Herb Gordon Subaru because all of the idiot lights were on, and also noticed a funky smell. Unfortunately, we figured out that rodents had done quite a lot of damage to the electrical harnesses and more. A mess! Michael Goodman coordinated everything with regard to these repairs- he made sure I had a loaner car, called me with the estimate and answered all my questions. He gave me a phone number to call if I had questions and he picked up that phone directly each time. No phone tag! No speaking to whoever might be available and waiting for them to figure out which car was mine and what it was in for. I even got automated emails and texts to update me, for instance when parts arrived. Very impressive communication all the way around. He even called me proactively to let me know that he hadn't heard from the insurance adjuster so that I could follow up rather than wait an extra day or two. When I picked up my car, Michael introduced me to the mechanic who actually did the work- he explained a bit more about the work done and again was available to answer any questions. We did hit a snag- most of the bill was going to be covered by my insurance company, and as of when I walked in the dealership to get my car, they had mailed the check to the dealership. Clearly this put the dealership in the less than ideal position of having to hold onto my car because my insurance company couldn't figure out a way to expedite payment. I certainly understood the dealership's need to be paid- after all, they had completed a 2700 repair and in far less time than the adjuster suggested it might take. Ken Hanscom, a manager there, not only offered me extended use of the courtesy car, he offered it to me at no charge, even though my insurance co does not reimburse for loaner cars! In the end, and on short order, Michael and Ken huddled with the Director, Greg Edwards, and released my car to me so that I would not be inconvenienced by an extra trip back to dealership. In other words, the insurance co came up short on service, and Herb Gordon Subaru employees not only did their job very well, they even covered for the insurance company's shortcoming. Long story short, we're keeping the service team at Herb Gordon Subaru and finding a new insurance company! More
