I live an hour away from Framingham, so I already knew what car I would be looking at. Filipe was extremely helpful in demonstrating all of the features of the car. He also spent a good amount of time working up a payment structure that met my needs. I will definitely recommend Herb Connolly to family and friends. More

We started going there b/c we our service manager, who had previously worked at another dealer. Every time I have gone in I have been greeted warmly by the entire staff and I know that if Joe isn't available, I know I'll be taken care of with the same attention to detail he would give us. By the way though, we are huge fans of Joe Carmichael. This past weekend we were invited to attend a customer appreciation tailgate and Revolution soccer game. One comment I heard over and over from friends when we told them where we were going was that their dealer didn't do anything like that. One friend even said we must get a lot of work done, in fact we don't have anything crazy done at all -- oil changes, tune-ups, thankfully nothing huge. I highly recommend HC for service. More
Needed a good car in a hurry I had been sharing my car with my son who just moved back to town. Both John and Carter were very nice and made the whole experience a pleasure. More
Is Joe a sleazy salesman or is this Connolly's policy? Is Joseph P. Dell’Olio a sleazy salesman or is this Chevrolet Dealer Herb Connolly want their salesman to do? You decide? We saw a used car online Is Joseph P. Dell’Olio a sleazy salesman or is this Chevrolet Dealer Herb Connolly want their salesman to do? You decide? We saw a used car online that matched our searches, the price was a higher than other similar models we saw but it was nearby and we decided to go down and take a look at it at Chevrolet Dealer Herb Connolly. As soon as we pulled in Joseph saw us and came outside. We told him what car we wanted to see and he said he was even considering that car for his kid. It was time to talk numbers and after some back and forth Joseph offered the car $500 less than sticker, which wasn’t much off and still higher than what we already saw out there. We asked him for his best offer and he wouldn’t even commit to the $500 less offer. We said that was still too high compared to what we saw and thanked him for his time and took his card. We had lunch and looked at a few more cars, we still felt like this car could be a good fit at the right price, so we called him later that day over the phone to discuss the price some more. After some more offers and counters I made an offer to which he said “would you put a deposit on that right now?” Yes but we didn’t want to give him the credit card over the phone and told him we would do it in person. I was nearby so I arrived minutes later to seal the deal we had just discussed and put the deposit as agreed. When we arrived back at the dealership Joseph offered us the old price! It was as if we never had the phone conversation minutes ago including the agreed counter offer. Was this a trick so I come back into the dealership but had no intention of honoring that discussion? Joseph tried to be the “good guy” and position Anthony the higher level sales person as the “bad guy” so that Joseph could play the “I would love to sell you that car at that price but I can’t do that, it’s not up to me” game. He couldn’t even commit to his first offer and kept telling us that he’s not even sure he can get the boss to agree to that offer. So I’m thinking then why am I talking to you, bring the guy that can authorize the reduction we agreed over the phone. Joseph got up and made us sit and play the waiting game, sound familiar? Joseph even added, someone just came in to buy that car and we wouldn’t let them buy it for $900 less than sticker but he would see if we can if have it for $1100 off. If that’s true it would not make sense for them not to sell it to the other person for $900 less instead of selling it to me $1100 less, why not call that person back? Or was there no real person? Joseph tried to connect by saying the car was worth the price and was a good family car to which I responded if we can’t afford the car then it’s not a good family car and we asked if he bought a car he couldn’t afford would he be able to face his wife and kids. He indicated he didn’t have kids, wait remember my earlier comment that he said he was even considering the car we looked at for his kid? So does Joseph really have a kid or not or was this another sales tactic? You be the judge and hope you find this experience useful to you. More
I got a car I liked at a fair price I went to Herb Connolly Chevrolet to test drive a Check Malibu. I worked with John Gould. I really enjoyed working with HCC and John. Here's what I li I went to Herb Connolly Chevrolet to test drive a Check Malibu. I worked with John Gould. I really enjoyed working with HCC and John. Here's what I liked: 1. John had me test drive two cars that were similar, including an Impala. He gave me straight advice on the differences and didn't pressure me one way or another. 2. John facilitated getting the car to my mechanic to have it checked out. 3. He came and picked me up when I was ready to buy (this was important because I didn't have a car). I really like the car I got. I think it was a fair price. I liked working with John and all the guys at HCC. I would highly recommend them. More

Autotrader: Sell or Trade in Market Place I was in the Market to sell my car. I did my research on KBB, Cars.com, and NADA. I knew what my car was worth. I tried my hand at selling it on Craig I was in the Market to sell my car. I did my research on KBB, Cars.com, and NADA. I knew what my car was worth. I tried my hand at selling it on Craigslist. What a Hassle...... Way too many dreamers who wanted the car at a wholesale price! I decided to give Autotraders Trade-in/Sell feature a try. It took about 10 minutes to complete the questionaire and I instantly received an offer from three dealerships. I heard from Carter Hastings, Used Car Manager at Herb Connolly Chevrolet first. I was a little reluctant about the process, but I can honestly say that the experience was great.......Carter appraised the car, gave me a day to think it over, no pressure. The offer was reasonable and fair. I had a check in my hand within 30 minutes. While i was waiting, I happen to be watching a few people test ride a few cars and work with their sales staff. The salespeople seemed genuinely interested in helping each person find the right car with no pressure. They answered their questions honestly and sincerely. When I am in the market for another car, I definitely will come back to see what Herb Connolly's three dealership have on their lot. If you are considering selling your car or trading it in, I recommend that you take it to Herb Connolly and see what you can work out with Carter Hastings. It's definitely worth the trip...... More

WORTH THE READ IF YOURE NOT A"PICK UP DROP OFF SITUATION" Ok so I don't know it this was just me, just because I was a young girl, because I don't know much about cars, or because I was going in to have thi Ok so I don't know it this was just me, just because I was a young girl, because I don't know much about cars, or because I was going in to have things fixed that weren't making them any profit, Or simply they were just really busy. I hope none of those, but I have NEVER had customer experience so horrible, not just car dealerships, just anywhere, I have never posted a review, or complained about anything before, But this is my experience and it was very real, and very rude, and I could not hold my tongue like I usually do. I got a phone call from GM because I had received my letter in the mail about the recalls on my car. I spoke to a man who informed me he would call Herb Connolly And explain to them that I chose them to repair my recalls, that they can help me get a rental car of no charge, and that I have a power trained warranty on the engine and transmission, (The light was on) and that they can have a look at those, again free of charge. This all sounded great! Until I spoke to Mr. Justin Brown. At first it all sounded great. He said he ordered the parts and they should be there within the next few weeks. I then said ok, GM told me I was able to have the dealership set me up with a rental car. He told me that "We don't do rental cars, and yours doesn't need one because to fix these recalls it only takes a couple hours." Well that made no sense to me, because now I am going to spend extra time driving a dangerous car? and GM told me otherwise? Well I later found out at another dealership that they were supposed to call a rental place for me and set it all up through their dealership(this also according to GM) but all this time I just thought that I couldn't get a rental. So borrowing others cars, and relying on others for rides was a hassle, but less than dealing with this place. I said, alright, no issue (Again, didn't want to be a bad customer) however my check engine light is on and GM informed me I have a power trained warranty to have them looked at, again free of charge. His response? "Heh, well I don't know who at GM told you that, but they are wrong. and if we did inspect it, it would cost you over $100" ...Well I could have done without the chuckle, but the statement itself made me realize I made the wrong dealership decision. So I was then told I would get a call when the parts were in. The time couldn't even be taken to double check about what I had told him? Why had he been acting like he didn't even speak with GM? Too busy? Not important? or just easier to get my car in and out, do the least amount of customer service possible, and then its over. So then I CALLED GM again to make sure I wasn't crazy, and turns out nothing they told me had changed. and when I asked if they had told Herb Connolly, they said yes. I was just so upset at the way I was spoken too and treated at this point, I asked GM if I could switch places, but the parts were on their way, so I couldn't. So a few days later I get a call from Justin, asking if I had gotten a rental. I said no because you had told me you don't do that, so I assumed I couldn't get one. I explained to him first phone call that I had never had this happen and need to know specific things I need to so, and what they do. So THEN he decides to tell me that I can go get a rental and have them bill GM or their dealership, something like that. Honestly I was just done. I didn't even care and said, "Well parts will be here soon enough, ill just deal, but please look into that warranty, because my light is on still for the engine, and GM twice assured me I was correct." He said ok. So about a month after I called I finally get a call saying parts are in, Call back to set up an appointment. Well I had medical issues for about a week was unable to get in touch with them. so then after the last voicemail from Justin stating" we have tried to reach you a million times." (very professional) I called and explained and set up an appointment to have my car finally serviced. When I dropped it off and got to meet Justin, I don't even think he had time to shake my hand. he got my paperwork, handed it to a nice young man and told me " This man will take car of you,Have a nice day." I then asked this nice young man if he can check out my engine and transmission while they were fixing the recalls, and he said, sure, no problem. The next day when I picked up my car, the ONLY thing that had been done were the fixed recalls. After Being told I was wrong, After Being Talked down too, After asking 3 different times to have something looked at that wasn't, After everything, I was just so disgusted, I went to another dealership, closer to my house in fact. They told me I wasn't the first person to have these issues with Herb Connolly, and that they would inspect my car, and bill GM (the way it should have been.) and then also let me know what was covered and what wasn't (Again, the way it should have been) I Still Cant Believe This Dealership. Never again will I go here, or tell others too. Which stinks because a lot of friends I know are looking for cars right about now. More
