Be Careful buying a USED car from Herb Connolly Chevrolet Beware buying USED cars from Herb Connelly Chevrolet in Framingham. In April 2018, I bought a car from them for my son 2008 Subaru Forester with appr Beware buying USED cars from Herb Connelly Chevrolet in Framingham. In April 2018, I bought a car from them for my son 2008 Subaru Forester with approx 103k miles. At the time of purchase, I asked if the timing belt was ever replaced (they said yes) and I also said the brakes felt a little soft and I smelled some burning oil. They said they would check everything out and said the brakes were fine and the oil smell was from an oil change because some had spilled on the engine block. 5 months later and less than 3k miles driven, I have the car in for service at a Subaru dealer in Vermont. They proceed to tell me that the car has a slight head gasket leak and needs a new timing belt ( a $4000 repair). I skipped the repair since the car is only worth $7500 and proceeded to tell my story to Herb Connolly Chevy. I know its a high mileage car but I figured since I pointed all these potential issues out during the original negotiations I would have some recourse or at least they would do something for me. Well they did NOTHING and now my son has to drive around a ticking time bomb while we look for a new car that is more reliable. I figured I would be safer buying from a dealer. I was wrong. Great new Chevy and great service I came in to get a more reliable vehicle for my family and I. I knew I was interested in a mid size suv with all wheel drive. I looked at options at herb Connolly Chevrolet online the night before and sent inquiries of a couple. I was amazed to be contacted by Diane even before the dealership was open. She was very nice and made me feel important and gave me great service, we scheduled a time for me to come in. I did the same morning. I walked in very nervous and anxious of having to get a new vehicle based off of previous experiences elsewhere. John Espinosa welcomed me as soon as I walked in the door and from that time until I drove off the lot in my new suv he was awesome! He listened to me and my needs and worked with me all while providing top class customer service and just made me feel welcomed as part of the herb Connolly Chevy family. Daniel Jackson was also a pleasure to work with. He also made me feel right at home and explained everything to me in a way I could understand and was happy to answer all questions. I have to say I never expected to ever have such a great experience at a dealership ever. I was wrong. My wife and I will be herb Connolly Chevy customers for a very long time with great help and service like this. Power Steering Pump Paid them to install a new power steering pump 3 months later the new pump fails so they say they’ll cover it under parts warranty After spending se Paid them to install a new power steering pump 3 months later the new pump fails so they say they’ll cover it under parts warranty After spending several hours there watching my truck sit out back in the corner of the lot they inform me that a line is gone as well I authorize work and they charge me $268 for line I inform mechanic and service writer that the power steering is inoperable STILL after I pay my bill They tell me it’s fine The next morning I start truck up and steering pump sounds ridiculously awful I check power steering reservoir and discovered the ace mechanic filled it with Transmission Fluid. Start making calls to service managers and get the run around and lame excuses. They make it perfectly clear I am not a priority Meanwhile I’m not able to plow with two snow events and it’s been several days. After not having my calls returned I drive down there in person and met with ServiceManager who also took my number and said he would call me. Still haven’t heard from him. I have been servicing my truck here for years and there is obviously a disconnect. The employees are miserable and don’t like being there. this fish is obviously rotting from the head down. Salesman said you would have to put a deposit down if you want us to look at the vehicle. never followed up with me. came back a week later car still was not through service, so i had to put deposit down, Had to wait for a week before they said anything but couldnt give me an answer on what was holding up the process. all they said is be "patience" > i would if i knew what was going on.... then the finance manager came and talk to me and asked if i really wanted the car, if i did i had to be patience.... at that point i was just fed up with them so i left and waited and waited before i was able to accomplish anything. finally got the car and salesman couldnt provide me with a service record on the car and just left the keys in the keyslot on the door of the vehicle. OVERALL worst car buying experience ever, was more worried anxious than happy anxious.. More
