Rich Ellison, the Assistant Service Manager, was very knowledgeable and personable about the service our beloved Camry needed for its 18 month maintenance appointment. We appreciated that he gave us paperwork about the ToyotaCare Plus Plan for after our maintenance plan runs out. He even sat in the car and showed us how to use some of the fancy features that we didn't know how to use. We also appreciated that he gave us the needed free car wash coupon after winter at the Allston Car Wash, winner of many "Best of Boston" awards. Our car felt special! :) Rich made a point of coming downstairs to get us after our service appointment was completed. It was nice to have a business cubical to wait in so that we could get some work done while our car was being serviced. It was impressive how clean and elegant the bathroom was. The toilets were shiny clean! Yes, customers notice these things! From beginning to end, our visit was pleasant and memorable in the best possible way. Rich Ellison's service was so outstanding and easy for the customer that the next time we buy a car, we will definitely buy one from this dealership. Rich deserves a raise and a trip to Hawaii. Please give him both! More

At 35k the Bought a new Toyota 2013 SiennaXLE AWD Unbeknownst to me at the time, the Sienna historically has premature tire tread wear problems. At 35k the manufaturers supplied Bridgestones Turanza EL400 tires with T rating need replacement. Bridgestone will not warranty the tire, only warranty that tire if you buy it as a replacement tire, apparently Bridgestone musty be aware of longstanding problems of premature tire wear on tires placed on sienna vans......If you buy these tires as replacements, Bridgestone warranties them to 5 years or 80k miles. Toyota will not warranty the tires....... Dealer failed to warn me that the tires that they sold me have absolutely no warranty when you buy them new from a Toyota dealer on your toyota car, no matter when they prematurely wear, at 5 or 50k miles... Dealership absolutley no help when I ask them for help with this issue. Service department deserves the reputation that the carry, Will never buy here again. Be warned..... More
Two separate issues with Toyota Service at Herb Chambers in Boston have caused me four trips. The first trip, we had some play in the wheel when braking at highway speed, we went in and had the rotors servi in Boston have caused me four trips. The first trip, we had some play in the wheel when braking at highway speed, we went in and had the rotors serviced, but the issue continued. So we had our rotors replaced. Not a big deal, it's an expensive job so we brushed it off (no discount for our second visit). The next visit is what really bugs me, we had two lights out in our center console dash. When we could finally see the dash at night and paying $140!!! (Yes, $140 for a couple light bulbs) only one light was fixed. How many Herb Chambers employees does it take to change a light bulb? Apparently more than one. More
At first we sought for service from another dealer after hearing that they were offering the car we'd wanted, which was a Toyota Highlander 2013 in the color pearl, for a good price, but they failed to meet hearing that they were offering the car we'd wanted, which was a Toyota Highlander 2013 in the color pearl, for a good price, but they failed to meet our expectations for the service we were hoping for. Not only did they fail to stay with the price they'd arranged for the car, they'd also told us they no longer had the color we'd wanted in stock and that we would need to pay extra to deliver a model in our desired color. After a first horrible experience with that dealer we thought our next would be the same, but Giau prove that theory entirely wrong. Giau provided the best service that we've ever received from any salesperson, and although we do not plan on getting another car anytime soon, we would love for whoever is looking to buy a car to speak to Giau because he will definitely make the process easy, friendly, and quick. We believe he did his job perfectly, and couldn't be happier with our new car. More
I came in for a part for a used toyota and I had a couple questions about the new Venza. Even though I wasn't buying a car, Steve took the time to show me around one and get me a brochure about it. Will was a great salesperson. Very kind and friendly, both my husband and I had a great experience there, everyone was very helpful. Since hearing all the news about multiple Toyota recalls I was very concerned about my Camry. There was an accelerator issue that I felt was a priority and wanted to attend to it. I called the service dep I was very concerned about my Camry. There was an accelerator issue that I felt was a priority and wanted to attend to it. I called the service department at Herb Chambers Toyota and voiced my concern and anxiety regarding the media reports I was hearing. The receptionist put me through to their service manager, Jim Pope. Jim proceeded to explain the issue calmly and invited me in (no appointment necessary) to perform the recall service on the Camry accelerator pedal. Immediately I went to the dealership, met Jim Pope who turned me over to Paul Caminiti, who then took care of everything else. It went great, they performed the repair, washed my car, and got me back on the road in about 45 minutes. They were wonderful. It was a very professional atmosphere; I recommend them. More
I took my vehicle to Toyota of Boston to get it serviced before returning to college. Being a business major I was interested in their approach to customer service from both a consumer and student point of before returning to college. I received a factory recall from Toyota and scheduled an appoinment with Toyota Of Boston. Normally, I do not go to the dealer and was pleasantly surprised by the professional atmoshpere at this dealership appoinment with Toyota Of Boston. Normally, I do not go to the dealer and was pleasantly surprised by the professional atmoshpere at this dealership. They took care of the recall, did a safety inspection, and informed me that everything was fine with my Toyota. They indicated that my brakes may need some attention in about 5,000 miles and they would follow up with me in the future. It was not what I expected of a dealership. I will go back when I need service. More
