I have been to multiple Toyota dealers for service, and this one was the worst service experience I have had. The service representative, Tereza Guzman, was extremely impatient and eager to sell. This was my first time and would be my last time doing service maintenance here. I definitely recommend going to other places to do service. More

An overall terrible experience Review Summary: They did a bad job fixing the original problem, seemingly broke something in the process, refused to fix the thing they broke, and quoted me triple the st did a bad job fixing the original problem, seemingly broke something in the process, refused to fix the thing they broke, and quoted me triple the standard price to do the repair themselves. Full Review: I brought my car in to have air put in the spare tire (which is located under the car) and to reset the oil change light. They told me it would take 2 hours. They were done after one hour but didn't tell me, so I waited an extra hour. Once I got the car and drove out, I noticed they had grossly overinflated all of my tires (PSI 47 to 50 instead of 32 to 36). Worse yet, the tire pressure monitor sensor in one of my tires stopped working. It was working when I brought the car in, but not when I left. When I got home, I made another appointment to get it fixed while explaining the problem that appeared while they had the car. At the second appointment, it took them 1.5 hours to "diagnose" the problem as a broken tire pressure monitor sensor. They denied any responsibility for causing the problem, insisting it was a battery problem, although the service report suggests they never looked at the tire pressure monitor beyond noting that it was no longer sending a signal. So they have no clue whether it's the battery or they broke it. Then they quoted me $450 to fix it. I checked online, which estimated the repair cost at between $100 and $200. So I just left. I ordered the necessary part myself from a different Toyota dealership for $80, and I've got someone lined up to install it for $50. This is a terrible business. More
Was trying to contact the service person to find out when the car could be ready so I could arrange a ride. Sent out text message and made phone calls, simply no response! the car could be ready so I could arrange a ride. Sent out text message and made phone calls, simply no response! More

My experience with Herb Chambers Toyota Allston has always been a pleasant one, however I do not recommend Tereza Guzman. Not only did she dismiss my concerns, she also gave me incorrect information ab always been a pleasant one, however I do not recommend Tereza Guzman. My recent experience with Tereza Guzman at Toyota in Allston was beyond disappointing—it was disrespectful and unprofessional. From the moment she called me about my car, she displayed an attitude that Allston was beyond disappointing—it was disrespectful and unprofessional. From the moment she called me about my car, she displayed an attitude that was condescending and dismissive. Firstly, when I explained the situation—that my car had been diagnosed with an alternator issue by AAA—she ignored my concerns. Instead of listening, she arrogantly brushed me off and said I would likely need yet another tow truck to take my already towed car up the service ramp. She insisted on putting gas in my car, completely disregarding my explicit statement that it did not need gas having filled the tank days before and the issue was the alternator and, in turn, my battery. I was charged $20 for gas which I know was not all used on my vehicle. She was clearly rushing through her responsibilities to speak with family and friends that were visiting her in the waiting room, likely due to the upcoming holiday, which she seemed more concerned about than providing proper service to customers. Tereza never apologized for the inconvenience caused or showed any empathy for my stressful situation. She never once acknowledged her mistakes or showed any remorse for wasting my time and energy. The mechanics, sales team, and even a random mechanic who was shopping at Toyota showed more empathy, competence, and willingness to help than she did. Her behavior as a service manager was unacceptable. Her condescending attitude, disrespectful demeanor, dismissive behavior, and overall lack of competence make her unfit to serve customers in any capacity. I strongly advise anyone seeking reliable service in the allston area to steer clear of Tereza Guzman and Allston Toyota entirely and hope that management takes swift action to address these issues.
