Disrespectful!!! My son and I were inquiring about a used vehicle. After checking out the vehicle, our conversation stated with me asking Mr. Chornovas, (Pre-Owned Man My son and I were inquiring about a used vehicle. After checking out the vehicle, our conversation stated with me asking Mr. Chornovas, (Pre-Owned Manager) why the maintenance department decided to keep electrical tape on a hose, which was in plain view, instead of changing it out. He stated, “We only do the bare minimum on used vehicles so they will pass emissions. We pass them as long as the check engine light is not on.” He then became extremely disrespectfully as he continued to interrupt me several times. I attempted to explain to him that, as a police officer following my retirement from the military, I understand the concept of Mass laws as it pertains to emission. He said, “So what, my brother-in-law is a police officer.” I then tried to explain that I am currently a Quality Assurance Evaluator working for the Air Force and how I would have failed his practice of just doing the “bare minimum”. He immediately asked me, “What does you being an insurance adjuster have to do anything?” It was clear that hadn’t been listening to a word I had been saying. He continued to interrupt me and became extremely agitated as his body language appearing more threatening as the conversation went on. He spontaneously made a statement about someone in Oklahoma wanting to buy the vehicle and told us that he didn’t need us. He went on to say that he would send it auction if no one bought it for the amount he was asking for and asked us to leave. I asked the Sales and Leasing Consultant who showed us the vehicle if we could speak with Mr. Chornovas’ manager. He told us that his manager won’t do anything about Mr. Chornovas’ behavior. He continued by saying that many people have complained about Mr. Chornova in the past. My son and I are both retired disabled military veterans. We didn’t appreciate him attempting to intimidate us and treating us like children. There is absolutely no reason for Herb Chambers Toyota of Boston to keep this pompous bully employed. I am absolutely sure he loses them business. More
