FALSE INTERNET ADVERTISING!!! I called to ensure that a car advertised on the internet was still available. I gave them the exact stock number listed in the ad. I arrived at Herb Chambers 30 minutes later, asked for the same person, I cannot now recall his name, but after about 10 minutes he came out to shake my hand and tell me that a sales person will further assist me. I showed him the printout of the ad and asked if I could see the car. He skirted the question and asked me to his desk for some "information" meanwhile engaging in small talk. Not having had my question answered the first time I asked him again about the car and if it was still available. He replied, "no." I pointed out that only 30 minutes prior it was, stood up and walked out. Once someone lies to me once, I refuse to do any business with them. Now a week later, they are STILL advertising the car on the internet eventhough it is long gone!!! This was actually the second bad experience I've had at HERB Chambers of Allston/Boston, the first being 5 years ago when they so low balled my trade in, it was laughable. I ended up getting a great deal on the trade and certified car at IRA Danvers. Both times I came in as a single young female and they probably thought of me as an easy target. Too bad for them I'm not as dumb as I look. Would NOT recommend this dealer unless you are a very savvy negotiator, do your research, and read every last word of everything you sign - that is if you're lucky enough to still find the car they promised to have. More

Tony gave us a lot of information and helpful demonstrations. He was enormously patient with an aging couple buying a high tech car. NEVER go to Herb Chambers to buy a used car. First, I was sold a lemon. Literally, the car had been submerged in water and a creature had been living in the engine (no exaggeration). Then, I took advantage of their money-back guarantee (which starts on the day you sign the papers, not the day you receive the car... I didn't actually get the car until 5 days after I signed the papers... what a great policy...). I was forced to deal with them with the process of trading it in and they treated me like they were doing me a favor. They never made phone calls that were repeatedly promised, the salespeople dragged their feet and tried to use every single dirty used car salesperson con in the book. I had to make ten separate trips to the dealer before getting my car. Then, they sold me a 2010 vehicle without the remote-access device and tried to charge me $200 for it!! RIDICULOUS! More

The customer service given by Ryan McDonnell was tremendous is by far the best experience I have had at a cealership, and I have been to quite a few. The customer service given by Ryan McDonnell was tremendous. He was extremely knowledgable and happy to answer all questions related to a variety of vehicles. He was very patient and gave us space to look around and wasnt all over us the second we walked in the door. He first greeted us and asked if there was anything specific we were looking for. Since we told him we werent sure he told us a few facts about each of the cars and then told us to look around and to come see him if we had any question. So certainly we had questions and since he wasnt so pushy we were happy to go back to him and give him our business. I will certainly recommend this dealership, and this salesman in particular!
