Please accept my apology on behalf of the entire organization as this incident is not consistent with the Herb Chambers philosophy of doing business. We know that bringing a customer into the dealership on a vehicle that does not exist only will lead to a bad situation and ultimately to the loss of that customer forever. When we make appointments we have the procedure of making a confirmation call within 30 minutes on most inquiries or in a case like yours where you are interested in a very specific pre-owned vehicle, that appointment must be confirmed within 10 minutes. The purpose of the confirmation call is to have a manager double check the inventory and insure the availability so we do not bring a customer to the showroom and not have the vehicle available for a test drive and sale. Should there be any issue; the call prevents the customer from making an unnecessary trip. This is where our representative broke from the process since he left us no way to perform the confirmation call by failing to collect your contact information. Since inventories move fast and frankly, sometimes errors occur, we use the confirmation process so we do not inconvenience the customer and destroy trust. I am sorry that things went the way they did and hope that you will contact me and give me a chance to make things right between you and our organization.
