I didn’t have an appointment but they took my car straight away. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. And I was treated like a valued client even though it was my first time there. I brought my 2022 Mini Cooper SE in for scheduled service, which included a brake fluid flush and state inspection. When picking it up the next day, they informed me that they did a recall on the bat service, which included a brake fluid flush and state inspection. When picking it up the next day, they informed me that they did a recall on the battery box and a software update. I waited 30 minutes for them to retrieve my car and after 2 people went looking, they finally brought my car down. I got in and as I started driving away I realized that all my radio presets were erased. I went back in and the service rep said that he was shocked and called to the shop to find out what happened. He said that they typically do software updates but then reinstall the customers settings. They must have forgot to do that to mine and after checking with the shop they said that they couldn’t find the backup. The service manager, Hank, stepped in but was very condescending, saying that it only takes a few minutes to reset the presets. Yes, if you remember what they are! But it had also erased all the Sirius XM song and artist favorites that I had acquired over the past 2 years. That’s not something that you can simply put back in. It can only happen in real time when a song or artist is playing and you hit the favorite button to favorite it. So I get back in the car and start to drive home and realize that all of the driver profiles were also erased. Everything was put back to factory settings. All radio, car, driver, and other settings. All gone! More
