My car was due for a service, and a bit more busy...I left my car running outside and I came into the service area....I called ahead but had no apt. My car was due for a service, and a bit more -that I was unaware of....Darin, immediately checked me in, and got all my info. I then was put into a rental within 15min or so....he told me he would call at the beginning of next week to tell me how my car is....and being a holiday weekend I didn't exoect to hear back till wed or so. I got a call the next day -Friday ....and he told me I needed a new clutch and all the other service was being done....and he would call sometime around wed or so....I had issues with the rental and called 1st thing Monday morning(check engine light ), Darin told me to stop in and trade out the rental for another, so I did 1st thing Tuesday morning...and was told my car wold be ready within 2hrs! When i got my car it was washed off and clean....ran AMAIZINGLY,and took only 15min again to get me out of there and I was back in my car . I was excited to get my car back, and that it took less time than expected...the best part was EVERYTHING WAS COVERED UNDR MY WARRENTY....I was extremely pleased with my service, and I always am each time I go : ) not only did they take care of my car, but made sure I was in a safe rental when I had issues with the 1st one...they didn't have to but Darin went above and and beyond ... Mark Ravin and Matt Attleton do such a super job in service that I continue to bring my MINI to them from Concord NH for all services. They have genuine enthusiasm for their work, are extremely knowle service that I continue to bring my MINI to them from Concord NH for all services. They have genuine enthusiasm for their work, are extremely knowledgeable and make every effort to be helpful. I have never before come across such terrific staff in any service department I have dealt with. People, including my wife, ask me why I drive all the way to Boston! Mark and Matt are extremely thoughtful about the somewhat more cumbersome logistics of my trip and always come up with ways to make things go as smoothly as possible. I really appreciate their efforts and the good work the service department does and will of course continue to make the trip to Boston whenever necessary. More

Greetings. My name is Juan Guillermo Uribe Rubio, Architect on Beacon Hill. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Scott Poirier for his most outstanding service and devotion to me and my Architect on Beacon Hill. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Scott Poirier for his most outstanding service and devotion to me and my car. Not only did I receive a fantastic service but also I have a knowleadgeable friend who advises me on Minis and BMWs. With all due respect to the Sales Department, I firmly believe that if there were more Scotts in this world and in the Sales Department, more automobiles would be sold and longer relationships would be established. If it wasnt for Scott, I sincerely would not dare to either purchase another car or follow through with service at this dealer. His attention to detail and customer service are qualities that not only make him excel as a person but make Herb Chambers of Boston a great dealer. Once again, hint hint for the Sales Department. Please feel free to contact me at anytime. Thank you for your time. I moved to Boston last year and I was bumping up against the 36K mile, end of warranty period. With 35,851 miles on the odometer, I checked out the reviews for Herb Chamber, Mini of Peabody, and the Mini the 36K mile, end of warranty period. With 35,851 miles on the odometer, I checked out the reviews for Herb Chamber, Mini of Peabody, and the Mini dealer in Rhode Island, as they're all equidistant. What I saw were lots of negative reviews for each, which was not confidence building. Hey, it's the web! Even so, I hate to choose from the least of three evils. I decided to go to Herb Chambers Mini. It was a bit closer, and I figured they have volume, which suggested to me that any odd repairs might be easier there. I had to wait about four days to get an appointment that allowed them to give me a loaner. I arrived first thing in the morning, and was greeted by Scott Poirier, Mini Service Advisor. He was great! He knew what I needed, reviewed the work plan with me, and gave me the option of a new Clubman or a Cooper convertible to use as the loaner. Summer? Convertible! After a dash around town in the loaner, I was back at the shop in about 5 hours. That was oil, brake pads, rotors, and an exterior detail. The work was done quickly, the car was clean, and the price was right. The bill totaled $75, and that was for the wax. Everything else slipped in right under the warranty. Here's what else I liked: I knew my tires were getting close, but instead of changing them and added hundreds to the bill, they examined them closely and told me I still had 5K left on them. Seems pretty honest to me. All in all, a good initial visit. More
I can't even begin to tell you all of the problems I have had at Herb Chambers Mini of Boston - just don't go there - don't buy your car there and don't have it serviced there. I have to write more so her had at Herb Chambers Mini of Boston - just don't go there - don't buy your car there and don't have it serviced there. I have to write more so here are some of my issues: 1) when I came in on a Sat for a scheduled appt, they were short handed. Instead of calling and rescheduling, they let me drive the 40 miles anyway. So I shortened the list of 7 or 8 items down to 3 because I had somewhere to be that evening and could not stay all day and wait. The idiot decided to try and fix some of the other items anyway (note that I said "try") and I missed my engagement - he basically held my car hostage when I told him "I WANT IT BACK NOW!". He also pressured me to set up a follow up appt and I said no that I needed to check my calendar. He set one up anyway and didn't tell me. I got an automated email a few days before the appt and I wasn't even in town - I was on vacation! 2) I called to make a follow up appt and had to leave a voicemail - nobody ever called me back. 3) I finally got the car an appt and went and spent all day waiting the Friday after Thanksgiving. They supposedly fixed everything. But they didn't they made it worse. 4) Back again to fix the one they made worse. Dropped it off on a Friday night and picked up a loaner since I was not going to wait all day again. Someone was supposed to call me the next day to discuss the issue. Nobody ever called. I emailed them and was told that this issue was not an issue, but just the design of the car. So there's ONE person at the dealer that knows this issue is not really an issue - I've had it in THREE TIMES and now find out - oh you have to live with water POURING into the car when you open the door or the window and it has been raining... Going to sell the d@mn car... More
I bought my car from Herb Chambers MINI 11-1/2 months ago. It was a great experience. Since picking up the car it has been in twice for service. The first time for a new fuel pump. Fully covered under wa ago. It was a great experience. Since picking up the car it has been in twice for service. The first time for a new fuel pump. Fully covered under warranty and MINI Roadside Assistance sent a tow truck the 70 mile to my place of work to pick it. Had the car back in 48 hours. Now the car has just been in for its second time for the 1 year maintenance. Again this was a wonderful experience. I only waited about 1-1/2 hours for them to do all the first year maintenance stuff. Which they estimated would take about two hours. Their waiting room is very nice and they even have an area for business people to hook up to the internet so that they can keep up with their business. Thanks to Mark Ravin the MINI Service Manger for having such knowledgeable people. I would recommend Herb Chambers MINI to anyone needing MINI, BMW or Porsche Service. They do a fantastic job keeping their customers happy. More
We brought my wife's Mini in for scheduled servicing to find out when we arrived our reservation was never was entered. They said they'd shoehorn us in but we shouldn't wait around for it, so we returned t find out when we arrived our reservation was never was entered. They said they'd shoehorn us in but we shouldn't wait around for it, so we returned that night only to find that they stored our vehicle on the roof. It was locked up with no way to get to it. It took several hours to finally get it back. The worst part is that the brakes now shrill in warm weather (50+ degrees). We've had it serviced numerous times with hope it would be fixed, which of course has never happened. Too bad too. I've read about Herb Chambers and his climb to success and up until now I thought it done honestly. He may still be a decent guy but he doesn't employ people of the same caliber as himself if that's the case. More
In January 2008, I purchased a 2007 Mini C from Kerry at Herb Chambers. When I bought the car, I decided to buy the warranty plan on the tires for 895.00. It covers any flats you experience in the first fiv Herb Chambers. When I bought the car, I decided to buy the warranty plan on the tires for 895.00. It covers any flats you experience in the first five years of ownership or 3,000 in tire repair. When I bought the car I was told that seeing that I live in Rhode Island, Chambers would pick up and deliver the vehicle for any service. The other day I had a screw puncture my front passenger tire. When I called service they told me that they never heard of picking up the car and to call mini roadside. I called roadside assistance and explained my situation . They in turn called Inskip Mini in Warwick to see if they had the tire in stock and if they could take it in that day. That dealership was more than accomodating flat bedding my car and replacing my tire within a few hours. Herb Chambers has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I would not reccommend them to any of my friends or family. More
