I bought a used Honda from Herb Chambers Lincoln that was traded in by the previous owner. When I brought the car back to the dealership for inspection it was discovered that the car had been accepted by the traded in by the previous owner. When I brought the car back to the dealership for inspection it was discovered that the car had been accepted by the dealership with a title for another car the previous owner had. The title for this actual Honda was lost by the original owner. The wrong title was passed through several pairs of hands and registered in my name before I was the first to notice the errors on the registration. This has resulted in me being in a rental for the past two weeks (with the damage waiver not being covered by the dealership) as we had to wait for a duplicate title. This was negligent misrepresentation of documentation on their end. This would be a lot more palatable if the manager, Jeremy, had shown any professionalism in rectifying this situation. I had to contact the dealership twice for an update on the process before I could actually get an answer. When speaking with Jeremy on the phone about compensation for this mishandling he became short, cutting me off and trying to brush off the situation as if it was not an illegal transaction on their end. As I was expressing my disappointment in how he and the dealership have handled this and asking to confirm my address for them to finally deliver my car, he quite literally hung up on me and proceeded to use his sales person as a means to contact me. The only person who has shown any remorse and offered any sort of apology has been our sales rep, Paul. He has had wonderful customer service from the beginning, being honest and up front to the best of his knowledge. I've never left a review in my life, let alone a bad one. But this entire situation has been beyond frustrating, and the lack of apology and decorum on Jeremy's end has tainted this experience big time. More
