They Really Help You Buy a Car..Not Just Sell You One!! There have been very few times in my life where I write a letter of praise to a company regarding service. A company and individual have to stand out tremendously in order for me to do so. My 2004 Kia, I bought from Herb Chambers as well, with close to 200k miles was struggling and I knew it was time to buy a new car. After working a 10 hour day in Newton I raced home as best I could in an hour traffic to Nashua, NH to pick up my boyfriend. We then started our hour and 35 minute drive to your Lexus of Hingham store. Yes, you are reading correctly- it was going to take me almost 4 hours of driving for this entire trip. During the nearly two hour drive to Hingham my boyfriend, who had worked a 12 hour day tiling, kept questioning my decision to purchase from Herb Chambers again. "I can't believe we are driving an hour and a half they can't be THAT good... You might have to pay sales tax because they are in Mass...I am sure we can find a car closer to us!" When we arrived at the dealership we were greeted by a smiling receptionist. We were introduced to Jamal, who was great in bringing the vehicle up front quickly. Obviously I knew I wanted the car after my test drive. Next step...financing. After waiting about 30 minutes my boyfriend was exhausted. We went into Joel DiLillo's office just ready to get this done and drive back home to New Hampshire. Within seconds his high energy and smiling face changed our moods right around! We started talking about our recent move, my past purchases at the dealerships and the Patriots! My boyfriend was very happy to talk.... and talk....and talk ...all about the Patriots that by the end of it I nearly had to drag him away they were having such a great time. Joel said the bank wanted to charge me a high interest rate but he knew someone and was going to call him the next day and try and get me a lower rate. We kept Joel in his office until close to 10pm. He was professional, funny and genuinely happy that we left with a bit more energy than we arrived with. The following day Joel worked on his day off to get me a much lower interest rate and emailed me the wonderful news! He provided us with absolutely incredible service. I am writing mostly because of Joel DiLillo. To say he went above and beyond my expectations would be an understatement. The Herb Chambers Companies are very lucky to have someone so dedicated working for them. He worked tremendously hard to get me the best rate - even though he didn't have to. Joel knew that even if I had to pay a $1200 sales tax or a higher rate that I was still going to buy the car. He is different because he was helping me...he wasn't selling to me. He treated me like a family member - doing his literal best. I can't tell you one company that would have called another business on their day off to help a stranger like that. He could have easily written the deal and been done..but he went beyond what a Finance Director would do. THAT is why I purchase from Herb Chambers Companies and will continue to for the rest of my life; because they hire amazing people like Joel who care. Thank you Herb Chambers and thank you Joel for everything! Oh and by the way...my boyfriend now understands why Herb Chambers Dealerships truly are as he says..helping us buy a car and not just "selling" us one. More

We was very knowledgeable of the cars I inquired about and also sent me information on competitors to show the value of their own dealership. It was all very helpful. No pressure on the sale. We entered the building and our sales consultant - Jamal McRaiby - welcomed us and let us know he could respond to any questions. He gave us some space to look at the variety of cars. When we were ready, we approached him to ask questions and take the different vehicles out for a test drive. We LOVED the way the Lexus RX 350 drove and made the decision to purchase it. Jamal was such a professional throughout our time as he made sure we had the best experience. He facilitated having the car ready, registered, new plates (which we requested) and so much more in record time. He warmly welcomed us to the Lexus family. In addition, we met with the General Manager - George Sarkis - who tries to meet all those who purchase their cars. We received such individualized service from the entire team - including Joel DeLillo - who handled the paperwork. We traded a car and purchased a new one. As you know, the new cars have lots of advanced technology. Steve came to our home to teach us about the variety of features. This is really personalized service from the beginning of our entry into the building and forward. I also want to mention Christine who works the front desk. She has the perfect personality as she is upbeat and welcomes everyone both in person and on the phone. The Herb Chambers Lexus of Hingham is an amazing team and I highly recommend this dealership! Everyone I met and worked with was professional, knowledgeable, patient and thoughtful. I never felt rushed or pushed to decide. It was stressful because buying a new car is stressful but it was FUN! When I picked up my car it looked brand new! There was not a scratch or a crumb to be seen, I want to thank one more time the team that did everything for me. I live in Boston and could service my car at Lexus of Watertown but the service treatment I get from the herb chamber Lexus IS like no other so it's worth the drive. I would like to express my buying experience at Herb Chambers of Lexus Hingham. I did not expect to have such a bad experience from Lexus and this was going to be my 1st Lexus. Almost bought the car at your dealer but I end up buying both IS350 and the RX350 from elsewhere. I am not trying to get anyone in trouble but I didn't expect to have such service. I almost bought this car(VIN#JTHCE1D20E5001240; 2014 IS350 F Sport) on Monday 4/11/2016, (I did all the paper work and sign the contracts) but I am glad I DID NOT give them the check and I was going to pay this car in full. Because when my dad (mechanical engineer) did the final check on the car and opened the hood and saw there's rust under the hood, the metal above the suspension on the passenger side(sorry if I didn't explain it well), not only that but the passenger door need to be fixed (showed the delivery manager when we go through the car and he agrees that the door is "weird") told the sales person John Martinelli 3 times but he said the door is fine and of course it is not fixed as promised. This car is only 2 YRS old and it is not NORMAL to have rust in that area. Spoke to the sales person (John M.) and the service guy (Andy I believe) I was told that it is normal to have cracks and rust there, and it is just chip off paint and the water went in that area (not sure where the water came from as it is under the hood). I did all the research before buying the car and obviously CARFAX said NO accident. The dealer stated that there's No Accident and only One Owner. The dealer, business manager Kevin is cool to work with but he needs a better team. The sales person John Martinelli is extremely hard to work with. I asked him the features on this car and he talked loud(I'm not comfortable with his tone) and didn't bother to show me the features. Ok, fine so I just did my research online about the car because I really liked the car (Red leather seats looks really cool) I even have to ask Kevin if there's any other sales person that I can work with. Another sales manager Madison Callahan got involved and told me that I can ask for Brian on Monday when I go pick up my car. I clearly asked Kevin through e-mail before getting to the dealer that I would also like to see another model RX350 because my family and I were planning to get both cars. So after the terrible test drive in the IS350 with John, I asked if he is going to show me the RX350 that they have in their inventory. Then he start yelling, I am not exaggerating. But he did yelled and asked "wait, so are you getting the IS350 or the RX350?" so I explained to him I want to see both. So he quickly show me the RX350 but he doesn't even know if that car is SOLD or not. If it is sold, I do not know why he is showing me that car. Once again, he yelled and asked if I am looking for a RX350 base or F sport. But I am new to Lexus model and I do not know what is the different between the Base and F sport. But yes, he yelled and asked " DO you want to see the BASE or the F sport??" and I told him I don't know. He might thinks I am joking around but I am not. I worked full time and I will not spend my time after work to joke around. At that point, I gave up on asking him anything. I didn't want to get yelled at. After Monday, I went to different dealers (Ira Lexus in Danvers; AutobahnUSA; Foley Motorsport; Northborough Lexus) around Boston area and look at different 2014 IS350 F sport and classic ones also spoke to 4 different sales person. All of them said the same thing. It is not "NORMAL" to have rust under the hood, it must have some kind of accident or broke down in the past. But this Herb Chamber Lexus Hingham told me it is Normal. They now dropped the price from $35,398 to $33,998, and this is what they called "Pre-Own Certified" Vehicle? I am waiting for my $500 deposit that I putted down. As they said I can get the refund back if I end up not getting the car so I walk-in and talked to Kevin in person on April 12th, 2016. He did mention it will take 3 to 4 days to process. I waited until Tuesday April 19th, 2016 and Wednesday April 20th, 2016 to e-mail Kevin and Madison and have them help me to check the status for the credit as I have purchase my cars elsewhere and I just want my money back. I decided to give your dealer a call today is April 21th, 2016 because I was thinking maybe there is a disconnection through the internet or if the e-mail access is not available at the dealer and finally received a feedback from Kevin on the phone by telling me that the credit refund form(hand written form) that he submitted on April 12th, 2016 someone have misplaced it so the refund was not process. So I am disappointed that they do not do any follow up for customer that are not satisfy with the service and if I don't give them a call, they probably not going to find out that the refund are not being taken care of. Kevin then took my credit card info through the phone and he said he will process right away. He did forward me the refund notification through e-mail. But I haven't see the refund transaction show up on my credit card transaction details yet. I will give it 1 more day, if I still don't see the refund transaction I will submit a dispute through my credit card company. I was hoping that my 1st Lexus buying experience will be great but I was so disappointed that I ended up have to get both cars elsewhere. More
