I had a great experience at Herb Chambers Hyundai. I only went there to test a vehicle out and was made aware of everything this vehicle has to offer (2011 Hyundai Sonata). I was greeted by Lance Brunell who went there to test a vehicle out and was made aware of everything this vehicle has to offer (2011 Hyundai Sonata). I was greeted by Lance Brunell who was very kind and stepped me through everything, not just a salesperson looking to sell something, he really cared about the vehicle I chose to purchase and my needs in a new car. He told me to pros and cons to every vehicle I was looking at and never made me feel pressured into buying what he sold. At the end, it made absolute sense why I bought the Sonata. Thank you for such a great experience and I will be referring all who is looking for a new car to Herb Chambers Hyundai. More

I stopped at Herb Chambers a couple of weeks ago to take a look at the Santa Fe's. I went a little earlier, before the dealership opened, hoping to get a look at them before the sales people came in, but R a look at the Santa Fe's. I went a little earlier, before the dealership opened, hoping to get a look at them before the sales people came in, but Roberto was already there! I think he sensed that was my plan, as he gave me some time before he came over and introduced himself. I explained that I was thinking of getting a new car, but was planning to purchase another Toyota, but the Santa Fe was in the back of my mind and I wanted to check it out. Roberto was very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable about the Santa Fe. He answered all my questions and listened to what I was looking for and he even offered to have a Rav 4 brought over from the Toyota dealership across the street, if I wanted to compare them side by side. Roberto was not pushy at all, as I find most sales people to be. I took the Santa Fe for a test drive and loved it. There was no need to compare, I purchased a new 2010 Santa Fe that day!! Unfortunately a few days later, a rock came up and hit the car and scratched it. When I went back for my inspection sticker, Roberto ordered the touch up paint for me. Thanks Roberto! More
We decided that it was time for a newer car than what we had. I drive by the dealership every day and wanted to do business as a convenience factor, so I chose Herb Chambers Hyundai. They had a large selection of new cars and used cars and found their prices are something I can live with. Their website was a big plus since that was ultimately what sold our business, not to mention their salesman, Dan, who persevered throughout the sales process. Because of finances, we could not look into a new car so we went with the idea that it had to be fuel efficient, front wheel drive and enjoyable to drive. After searching for some time with other dealers, Dan would occasionally call me and asked how it was going if anything he could do to help. He was courteous and persistent to to make the transaction work out. One day, I was on the phone with Dan, and mentioned my direction of a car, and he said, You're not going to believe it, but that I was in luck the car I was looking for, a used Mini Cooper, had just come in at another Herb Chambers dealer and if I would be interested in it. I told him absolutely and Dan made arrangements to drive it to his dealer and arranged for me to look at it and try it out. I was trading in my older mini van and discussed price and trade-in amount. After a couple of rounds that took about 15 minutes, Dan had me meet the Sales Manager, Ira, and we talked business and wanted my wife to see it and that I was not making a final decision without her. They agreed and the next day, the two of us drove down and were sold on the car. They gave us a good and fair price on the trade-in and accommodated us in every way to finance the Cooper and we even put an extended warranty on the vehicle. The dealer registered the car so all we did was drive it away. We are very happy with our purchase and the buying experience was great. As I mentioned to the dealer before, I love looking at cars, shopping for one is another matter with me. What made the buying experience worth while was Herb Chambers salesman, Dan. He did a great job and I'd look him again when the time comes for another car. Thanks, guys! More
My sales experience was beyond all my expectations! To start, I was very hesitant as well as nervous to purchase a new vehicle. It was the first time I even thought of purchasing a new vehicle and was ve start, I was very hesitant as well as nervous to purchase a new vehicle. It was the first time I even thought of purchasing a new vehicle and was very concerned over what to afford, what to even look for in a car, specifically on safety for my family and what will last for years to come. One evening, I randomly stopped by Herb Chambers, with my entire family to scope out the 2011 Hyundai Sonata’s. Although it was nearing the close of business, I was greeted in a very pleasant, upbeat, and professional manner by Roberto Contreras. Right from the get-go, Roberto made me feel at ease, was very patient with me and my repetitive questions, as well as made it a very fun experience for me and my kids that evening. Although after business hours, he took the time to explain every option of the vehicles to understand the different levels of the Sonata and what may fit best to my needs and budget. Needless to say, after my experience that evening, I scheduled an appointment with Roberto for the weekend so that I can begin the process of comparing the vehicles with potenital of purchasing a Hyundai. Again, Roberto continued to provide exceptional customer service, unprecedented knowledge of the vehicles, and his remarkable personality made this experience outstanding. I did purchase my ‘first’ new car that day and can’t begin to tell you how very pleased I am with my purchase! Thank you Roberto for all your assistance and superb customer service! I would highly recommend you as a Salesman any day and wish you the best of success in your career. Herb Chambers is very fortunate to have you on their team! More
My wife and I went Herb Chambers Hyundai to look at a 2011 Sonata. We were considering a few different cars at the time and the Sonata was high on the list, but not first! Rudy Mago greeted us just outs 2011 Sonata. We were considering a few different cars at the time and the Sonata was high on the list, but not first! Rudy Mago greeted us just outside the dealership around 11:30. He was a pleasant, neatly dressed young man with a big smile. We went inside and talked about the Sonata. I also noticed a nice Toyota Avalon in the used car lot and told him that was on the list as well. We took the Sonata for a ride. Then came back and talked price. Turned out the Sonata was more than we wanted to spend. Time to take the Avalon for a ride. That turned out to be the car we were interested in. This 2005 Avalon was immaculate. Time to talk price. That proved to be a long yet pleasant experience. Bottom line... we bought the car. Rudy, the Sales Manager, and the Loan Manager were all pleasant to deal with. It was a back and forth negotiation, but we left with the car that day... at 5:30 in the afternoon with a reasonable deal!! 800 miles later the check engine light came on! I called the dealership and spoke with Kevin Pierce in the Service Department. I said I would drop the car off and leave it if they couldn't get to it that day. The next day Kevin called and said they had to send the car to the Toyota dealership across the street to have it diagnosed with a scan tool. Their software could not "read" the Toyota. Turned out to be a bad ignition coil. Toyota fixed it and sent it back. Kevin called and said come and get it. No charge. The reason for the "good" grade for service must go to the Toyota dealership. The diagnosis was right. The repair was done correctly, but there was some grease on the driver's side exterior door handle and when the technician put the cover back on the engine he left greasy finger prints all over it. After 37 years of teaching "Shop" I feel qualified to give that technician a "B". I will grade the service department at Hyundai when they actually have to work on the car. Hopefully, that won't be for a long time! We spent 6 hours with Rudy that afternoon and not once did he get frustrated or call it quits. He stuck with us, negotiated in good faith and treated us well. He even missed lunch. If your looking for a car and don't want a high pressure sales pitch, then stop by Herb Chambers Hyundai and ask for Rudy. He will treat you right. More
My husband bought his Hyundai Santa Fe at Herb Chambers in Auburn and his salesman was Jeff Allen. He has high praise for Jeff and the service he received. When I decided that I wanted a Santa Fe, he bro in Auburn and his salesman was Jeff Allen. He has high praise for Jeff and the service he received. When I decided that I wanted a Santa Fe, he brought me to Jeff. Jeff was very attentive, courteous, patient, didn't mind how many questions I asked, he always had the answer and he never failed to return my many phone calls. I was also very impressed with the dealership because it was clean, set up very nicely so you could view several vehicles, and when you walked through the door someone always asked if they could help you. Ira King was very helpful, always checking with me if Jeff was busy with another customer, answering questions and just being all around pleasant and courteous. I will, and have, recommended this dealership to many people and referred them to Jeff Allen. He is one of the best salesmen I have ever dealt with over the years in buying cars and because of the treatment I received I will, when I'm ready for another vehicle, go the this dealership and Jeff Allen. I was looking for a vehicle that my elderly mother could get in and out of with ease as well as a trunk large enough to store her wheelchair. I was greeted by Roberto, who understood my concerns. Roberto wo get in and out of with ease as well as a trunk large enough to store her wheelchair. I was greeted by Roberto, who understood my concerns. Roberto worked endlessly to help me find the right vehicle.I found him to be extremely knowledgable, pleasant, professional and respectful. He truely cared that I found the correct car. I never felt pressured or hurried to make a decision. I mentioned that I also wanted to view a Toyota and he brought me accross the street. Roberto along with another sales consultant worked together to make my visit comfortable. It was a wonderful surprise to find such a thoughtful and caring person. The dealership should be proud that they have Roberto on their staff. More

Also, before I had even gotten in the car, they were already trying to sell me a used Nissan 370Z. After I had finished looking around and decided to buy the Genesis Coupe, I went in to buy. They tried to sell me a car with far more options that I was looking for, implying that it was all they could find. When I made an offer in the range of what I was looking to spend (for the options I wanted), they quickly came back saying that they had found two cars that matched my specifications. We reached an agreement, and I even signed a Purchase and Sales agreement. They told me they would get it transferred from the other dealership, it would take a few days and they would call me when it arrived. A week later, I still hadn't heard from them, so I called them. It turns out the dealership that had the car sold it (despite the fact that they had given me a P&S complete with VIN) and they couldn't find an exact match. I offered to expand the colors I was willing to accept and they went back to searching. I called them back two days later, and they told me again, that they had found a car and would have it shipped to the dealership. A couple days after that, they call me again, saying that they had found a car identical to the original car I had "bought" but with 5000 miles on it. They were willing to knock $1000 off my original P&S. I told them, no thanks, I'll take the second car they found for me at which point I was told that that car was also sold before they could get it shipped to them. I offered $2500 under the price I had agreed to pay for a new car and was laughed out of the dealership (not even counter offered). I understand that swapping cars between dealerships can be tricky, and its not their fault that the other dealerships sold the cars that they thought they were going to acquire for me, but they shouldn't have agreed to sell me a car they didn't have. Also, not once did they call me to inform me these cars were sold out from under them. I was always initiating the communications. Even when they said they'd call me back they didn't. I still haven't bought a car, but I will not be going back to Herb Chambers. More
I went into this dealership to test drive the Hyundai Elantra 2010 as I have a 2001 Elantra and love it. I test drove the car and decided to figure out how much the car would be and how much financing I Elantra 2010 as I have a 2001 Elantra and love it. I test drove the car and decided to figure out how much the car would be and how much financing I would qualify for. Well I sat down with Dave and he had me fill out the worksheet as we discussed the price of the car. The price of the car was horribly marked up to about 20 thousand dollars in order to take the 5 thousand dollars off the car for the "deal" if I traded in my old Elantra and if I financed through them. So I figured what the heck lets see how much I would qualify for their loans as in order to get this "deal" I would need to use them to finance the car. I asked them how much and they asked me what my ideal payment would be. Knowing their tatics that they use I decided to say about 250 dollars or so. When the financing came back the finance guy sat down with me and explained that I didn't qualify for the low financing and that I am looking at a monthly payment of well over 300 dollars. With that they proceeded to tell me that I need to reconsider my options and think about getting a used car even though I told them I didn't want a used car because the new car had better warrentee. I decided to walk out of the dealership at that point. The next day I decided to go to other dealerships to discuss buying the same car the Lemonister and the Natick dealership to my surprise I qualified twice for the financing though the dealership and not only that I qualified for the low rate of 3.9! So as you can see I am pretty angry at Auburn for changing the price of the car and lying to me about my financing situation as I happen to qualify every where else but not in Auburn. Dealing with the sales staff I would never go back to that dealership even though it is a lot closer to my home. More
