Walking into this dealership was very refreshing. My family were all made to feel welcome. Refreshments were offered and my grandchildren were even given balloons and frisbees. My husband & I visited Herb Chambers looking for a used car. I have to be honest and say the service that we received was remarkable. Our Sales Rep Matt Perritt was very patient as well as the finance used car. I have to be honest and say the service that we received was remarkable. Our Sales Rep Matt Perritt was very patient as well as the finance guy Jimmy. They bent over backwards to ensure we were getting what we needed & we pressed them hard on everything. I understand it is a business & about getting the deal, but both of these gentlemen went beyond the normal customer service to make sure we were satisfied. I would hands down recommend this dealership as a place to obtain a new or used vehicle. More
I bought a brand new car recently. Ray was great at calling me back about when to come meet him and test drive the car. He made sure to call back to see where I was in the car buying process and I coul calling me back about when to come meet him and test drive the car. He made sure to call back to see where I was in the car buying process and I could tell he had my best interests in mind. Ray made sure I was happy with my purchase and said that if I ever needed anything in the future to give him a call. This has been the best dealership I have dealt with when buying a car. More
I came in seeking a possible replacement to my current vehicle which is an Audi A4. I wanted to test drive a vehicle comparable to what I’m driving now. After a few questions Matt presented me a 2012 Hy vehicle which is an Audi A4. I wanted to test drive a vehicle comparable to what I’m driving now. After a few questions Matt presented me a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Limited which was surprisingly well equipped. It had all the "bells and whistles" , a stylish look, and a luxury feel at a price that seemed reasonable. I expressed both to the salesman and the manager that I’m not ready to make a decision yet doing there job they still tried to sell me a vehicle, but in a professional manner which I understood and respected. After hearing all the great qualities such as safety features, warranty, fuel efficiency and driving the Sonata I will definitely consider switching brands. Thank you guys for your help. More
I had already owned two Hyundai vehicles and was looking to replace my 2006 Santa Fe with a 2011 or 2012 model. Matt was very helpful as I was also interested in test driving the Tuscon and two Santa Fe's to replace my 2006 Santa Fe with a 2011 or 2012 model. Matt was very helpful as I was also interested in test driving the Tuscon and two Santa Fe's (4 cyl and 6 cyl). Once I drove the 6cyl, I was convinced. The car really sells itself. We went into the dealership to find out how they could do on a price for the 2012 Santa Fe Limited. While I didn't appreciate only being presented with a total monthly payment amount for 60 or 72 months, I negotiated down to a payment I was comfortable with. I was told I could take the vehicle home that night (I arrived around 5:45 and by that time it was 7:15). They tried to get everything done (inspection sticker, detailing the vehicle, full gas tank) before they closed. In the meantime, around 8pm they put me in touch with the Finance department. I decided to finance the vehicle through the dealership (for convenience sake, knowing I could refinance later if necessary). I was mentioned that the 2012's had 0% financing available, and, knowing how good my credit was, I assumed I would be granted that rate. Jimmy tried to upsell extras like Tire & Wheel warranty, LoJack and Simoniz (among other things) and told me how much higher my payment would be if I chose any of the packages. I declined them all. We are fast approaching 9pm now and I finally get to sign my loan documents. I was given a rate of 4.55% and the total financed would be just over $30k (after almost $10k in trade-in, down payment and rebate deducted). Not happy about the rate but I know I will check with my credit union for a better one. Matt went over the features of the vehicle but hadn't sold a Limited edition before so he was not up on all the features. They also did not have a chance to inspect it or detail it but I was to come back the next day to get everything finalized. Friday became Monday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday. They hadn't registered the vehicle yet. Thursday (the last day I can drive w/out an inspection sticker), we plan on Matt coming to pick up the vehicle at my office, get the car inspected, detailed and a full tank of gas); by 11:30, still no call, no show. Called the dealership and Jimmy came to my office, took care of everything and had my car back by 5pm. Thanks~ Finally reviewing financing paperwork on Saturday and I notice that built into the price was 1). $695 for Simoniz (which apparently they did on Thursday), 2). $695 for Tire & Wheel warranty, 3). $695 for LoJack and 4).~$400 for a TOW HITCH!! Ultimately, they agree that I didn't ask for those extras but didn't realize Stefan (the Sales manager) had already included the items in the price when he quoted me initially. I was not a happy camper. I am expecting a check back for $1,800; I agreed to pay for the Simoniz since it was already done. So, why did I still rate this dealership at 4's and 5's? Overall, my experience was a good one and they did make me whole for their errors. Unfortunately, I think others may not have caught the errors and would have paid for things they didn't request. I don't have a tow hitch on my vehicle, no LoJack installed and no paperwork regarding the Tire & Wheel warranty. The dealership is convenient to where I live and work and I have purchased my last two vehicles from Herb Chambers. They were all pleasant to work with but I suggest looking carefully at all the documents you are signing. Time contraints prohibited me from following my own advice; I know better now!! More
