I am a disabled person and on a fixed income. I told this to the sales person and business manager. There was a car I was interested with and checked out the sticker price, I asked them how much a mont this to the sales person and business manager. There was a car I was interested with and checked out the sticker price, I asked them how much a month would this cost me. It was a little more than what I wanted to pay, but I said to myself it would be ok. I get to the office and filled out the paperwork. He told me - the business manager - the Simoniz 5, LoJack and some type of Tire Guard was included. Here I'm thinking what a great deal, I get home and looked over my paperwork. That man added an additional $1500 to my car. Remember he said it was "included". They were NOT included. I then contacted him and told him I only wanted to figure out the monthly amount from the sticker price. Since I'm disabled and on disability I am exempt from paying sales tax, and THAT MAN had the nerve to say to me "well you don't have to pay sales tax". To make a long story short I contacted the General Manager and they ended up paying the $1500 on my loan. NEVER, NEVER again will I do business with them. I would never recommend anyone to Herb Chambers. Just look online, there's too many bad stories by customers. I should of looked them up before going. More
I recently test drove a Honda Odyssey in the hopes of purchasing the vehicle. The test drive was great - there was no pressure and my family and I really enjoyed it. We were not able to purchase the ve purchasing the vehicle. The test drive was great - there was no pressure and my family and I really enjoyed it. We were not able to purchase the vehicle due to some unexpected financial reasons but when this was told to the sales person, he was very understanding and said that he would be more than happy to accomodate me when the time was right for me. This is the first and only place I will return to purchase a new vehicle. More

Recently chose Herb Chambers of Westboro for an '08 Odyssey EX-L. My salesman Matt made this experience one of the best in over 40 years of car buying. He had everything I asked for at the times prom Odyssey EX-L. My salesman Matt made this experience one of the best in over 40 years of car buying. He had everything I asked for at the times promised and he personally delivered the new Odyssey to my home. He carefully reviewed all of the features and controls of the Odyssey inside and out both with me and my wife until we assured him that we were comfortable in our understanding of their function and operation. In my all of my dealings with auto dealerships this special treatment was not only a first, but was genuinely appreciated. All of the employees we met there were pleasant, courteous, and professional. More
Herb Chambers Honda lied to me. They said they had the car I wanted in stock. I when there and they said they had one coming in to them in four weeks. They tried to get me to take a lower model (LX) but w car I wanted in stock. I when there and they said they had one coming in to them in four weeks. They tried to get me to take a lower model (LX) but wanted the same money they quoted for the EX. When I said I would wait they changed the price by $3,000. Buyer beware. Don't go to Herb Chambers. All they do is lie to get you to go there. More
I did a lot of research before purchasing my first car. The car I wanted was the new Accord Coupe fully loaded with a v6 6speed transmission. I knew there weren't many of them but my sales person Jim Swee The car I wanted was the new Accord Coupe fully loaded with a v6 6speed transmission. I knew there weren't many of them but my sales person Jim Sweeney was able to locate the one I wanted from another dealer and arranged to have it brought to thier RT 9 location in 2 days. I got the car I wanted at a reasonable deal. Jim even delivered the car to me at my place of work and linked my cell phone up to the car's bluetooth for me. Thanks Jim and everyone at Herb Chambers Honda for making my first car shopping experience a great one! More
Routine Service for 60,000 miles left me with 4 tires all inflated improperly, one was put on backwards, and a leaking transmission. I went back and they told me that a seal was leaking and needed replacing inflated improperly, one was put on backwards, and a leaking transmission. I went back and they told me that a seal was leaking and needed replacing for $350. I complained that the car was fine before the service and they needed to take responsibility for the repair. They clamied it was just a coincidence, and offered to do it for $100. After having the car looked at by a trusted mechanic it was diagnosed that the car's transmission fluid was never drained. Fluid was forced in under pressure leaving double the amount of fluid in the car which was breacking all the seals causing leaks. Service manager was rude stating I had the problem expecting perfect service. More
Parts were supposed to come in a week but this has been over a month and have not heard back from them. Eventually had to call them and keep following up. over a month and have not heard back from them. Eventually had to call them and keep following up. More
I visited the dealership because the one I usually dealt with didn't have the used model I was looking for. I was there for four hours! I don't know they were trying to wear me down or what. I didn't get with didn't have the used model I was looking for. I was there for four hours! I don't know they were trying to wear me down or what. I didn't get a good feeling and called when I arrived home to cancel my order. I didn't even take the vehicle that night and was bullied as to why I didn't want the vehicle. So much for the great ad - that customers can change their mind in three days - no questions asked. I just didn't like the sales tactics. I went back to the Honda dealership I usually visit and ended up purchasing a new vehicle - the deal from start to finish took approx. 2 hrs. More
Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough was one of 12 local Honda dealerships that I solicited bids from (by email and over the phone) to purchase a 2008 AWD CR-V. Their original quote was high (around MSRP), Honda dealerships that I solicited bids from (by email and over the phone) to purchase a 2008 AWD CR-V. Their original quote was high (around MSRP), and they were the ONLY dealership that was trying to get me to come in to their dealership even though I made it clear from the start that I had no intention of doing that. In contrast, Rockingham Honda in Salem N.H. gave me their best price (and the best price overall) with their very first quote. However, at the end of the bidding process, Herb Chambers Honda emailed me a 'Best Price Guarantee' promising to beat Rockingham Honda's price by at least $100 if I brought Rockingham's emailed price quote in to them (Lie #1). They phoned and emailed a quote that was $100 under Rockingham Honda's quote and also told me that the AWD CR-V was on their lot in the color we wanted and we could pick it up the next day. So the next day, my wife met me at work and we drove to Herb Chambers Honda expecting to purchase our new CR-V and drive it home that evening. After waiting about 15 minutes, a manager brought us into his office and left with Rockingham Honda's quote and the 'Best Price Guarantee'. Several minutes later, he returned and informed us that the quote they had given us was for a FWD CR-V and that my wanting an AWD CR-V was not clear in my email or phone calls (Lie #2). He also said that they didn't have the CR-V we wanted on their lot (Lie #3) and that there is no way that their sales people could know whether a particular vehicle was on their lot or in-transit by looking at their computers (Lie #4). He then told us that there was no way that Rockingham Honda would honor the price quote they gave us for a new AWD CR-V. Now, this was possibly said in ignorance or it was Lie #5. In either case, he was calling the people at Rockingham Honda liars. Well, needless to say, my wife and I immediately detected their scam and were very upset that we were not treated with the honesty and respect we had accorded them and requested in return. That's the main reason I also scored them low on 'Friendliness', because it was just a mask and wasn't genuine. We subsequently left Herb Chambers Honda and drove straight to Rockingham Honda where we purchased a beautiful 2008 AWD CR-V in the color we wanted and for the price they had originally quoted. Rockingham Honda also showed us on their computer that all Honda dealerships can easily tell at any time what's on any dealership's lot or in-transit, and that Herb Chambers Honda did have what we wanted on their lot when we were there.
