Worst experience of any dealership I've ever been to. Prices are horrible and the sales person I dealt with was the worst sales person ever. He didn't try to sell a car in the least bit and didn't know Prices are horrible and the sales person I dealt with was the worst sales person ever. He didn't try to sell a car in the least bit and didn't know anything about the cars. Tried to tell me that all Honda Civics will be sold out by the end of the month. HA. Thats a good one. Just a bad all around experience. More
I originally did not purchase my car from this store. I went to the dealership to drop off my lease which I had leased from another dealership. When I walked into the showroom it felt different then it did went to the dealership to drop off my lease which I had leased from another dealership. When I walked into the showroom it felt different then it did the first time around. Upon entering the store I was greeted and dealt with a sales person name Adriel Calo. He was very courteous and asked if he could help me. I cringed when I told him that “I was not here to buy a car just return a lease” thinking he was going to act bothered. To my surprise he just smiled and asked me to follow him to his desk. He asked me a few question and then explained to me my option with the vehicle. Things that I didn’t even know or were explained to me at the other dealership. By the end of the whole experience. I ended buying out my lease. And purchasing a another CRV a couple of years later. I just love my new Ridgeline!!! Buying it, instead of being painful, was wonderful. Seriously, I NEVER write letters but as a single woman I was expecting more of the usual and what I got at Herb Chamber being painful, was wonderful. Seriously, I NEVER write letters but as a single woman I was expecting more of the usual and what I got at Herb Chambers was just the opposite. Everyone from the person who answered the phone and walked me thru the process to the gentlemen who took me for a test drive was professional and easy to deal with. The sales person was particularily great. He answered my questions with consideration and respect. They even found me the exact truck I wanted and helped me understand and secure great financing rates. What blew me away away was the time they spent answering questions and thoroughly going through the car, explaining all the instruments and accessories on the day I took it home. All in all it was a very good experience. I've been recommending Herb Chambers to my friends. Thanks for doing a great job!! More
After buying 4 Hondas in a couple of years we were treated like dirt. The sales people were so poor they "forgot" to give us the paperwork for the car and took hours for a cash deal. The manager was treated like dirt. The sales people were so poor they "forgot" to give us the paperwork for the car and took hours for a cash deal. The manager was coerced into coming out and shaking our hands and then never responded to our e-mails and phone calls regarding missing paperwork. No one returned any phone calls and we had to take an extra trip to Seekonk to get the missing documents. The wrong Lojack was put in the car and the keyless entry that was installed wasn't even a Honda product. Too bad because their service dept has been great. Go figure! More
Went to the Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk recently. We ended up purchasing a new 2007 Honda Civic EX-4 dr sedan. The sales experience went very well. We dealt with a saleswoman named Tracy. She was extrem ended up purchasing a new 2007 Honda Civic EX-4 dr sedan. The sales experience went very well. We dealt with a saleswoman named Tracy. She was extremely helpful, nice and not pressuring at all. Sometimes it would take her a while to return phone calls, but if she said she was calling that day, we usually got a call. Everything went fine UNTIL the Finance manager got involved. He was not mean or rude, but he was just "greasy". He gave us a really horrible APR (8.74%!) on a car loan even though we had very good (Tier 2) credit. When we said we were definitely not paying 8.74% interest... all of a sudden the rate magically came down a FULL POINT to 7.74%, but he would "have to make a phone call".... Yeah right... To who?? To the freaking Federal Reserve Chairman?.. We saw right thru that and just felt like this guy should be plain with us and stop trying to wring every last dollar out of us (I know its a car dealership and thats how they make their money but its SO frustrating). We were both aware he makes money off of giving a higher interest rate, but honestly in this day and age, this form of sale will (hopefully) go extinct in favor of realistic customer-oriented sales. ALSO.... Dont bother trading ANYTHING IN!! Like someone else on this mentioned, we were offered 1/6th of the value of the Kelley Blue Book for our fully functioning good condition vehicle. The Used Car Manager (Joe Vona) explained why, but we were still aware we were getting screwed regardless... This dealership (aside from the awesome sales girl, Tracy, who will hopefully find her way out of such a toxic business) is not recommended More
