As we walked in the door of the dealership, we were greeted by an affable salesman who greeted us warmly and asked what he could do for us. Will seemed much more interested in learning about our needs and wants, and getting us into the vehicle that fit those needs and wants, than selling us a particular vehicle or level of trim or add-on service package. Will got to know us, and our daughter, and allowed us to learn a bit about him and his family. After meeting with him for several hours over a couple of days, we felt like we were working with a friend more than a salesman. Will answered all of our questions, stayed as late as he needed to to address our needs, surprised our daughter with her favorite candy in the back seat of our new van, and made sure that if we nhad ANY questions about ANYTHING that we should not hesitate to contact him. We never felt pushed or pulled by Will and his colleagues; we felt supported in making a big financial decision. In the end, we found a perfect match for our desires, and Will's prediction about the quality of the vehicle and how much we would like it has come true: we couldn't be happier. We entered the dealership having visited other dealers, as our Windstar was currently being recalled. Upon greeting us, Jessica listened to what our wants & needs were, never pushing, just showing us what was available. We test drove a Pilot EX-L. Explaining that it could be a few weeks/months before we could make a decision due to the longevity of the recall, she said she would be ready when we were. A month later, we received the call stating our van would not be fixed & we were receiving a buyback. We called Jess, made an appointment & went in a few days later. Our requested Pilot was waiting out front, we test drove, then went in for the "talk the numbers". As my husband & I do not enjoy haggling the price of anything, this was the one thing we were dreading. Jess had promised on the phone to take care of us, & we feel she did. There was none of the back & forth, playing with numbers other dealers have done with us in the past. She offered a fair price, we asked some questions, the price was brought to an agreement for all. When moving onto finance, the person we worked with was equally "non-pushy"(sorry can not remember his name at the moment!). Everything was explained to us & all of our questions have been answered. Jess stayed with us the entire time while we waited for finance & for our Pilot to be cleaned up & made ready for us. Again, she was an absolutely pleasure to work with & a treasure for Herb Chambers! We hope that Jess will be working at Herb Chambers Honda for many years to come--we have already started talking about which type of used Honda will we be purchasing for our son when he is ready to start driving & we hope to work with Jess then!
