-I set my sites on a the Honda Ridgeline after test driving a RTL in 2007 and finding out that it parked in my garage with plenty of room to keep my tools. -Every time I called, Honda was not offering driving a RTL in 2007 and finding out that it parked in my garage with plenty of room to keep my tools. -Every time I called, Honda was not offering the low APRs and cash back until. -This past Saturday I stumbled on an add from a local Honda dealership in Fitchburg (Ron Bouchard's) for $7K off MSRP on all 2008 Ridgelines + 0% APR for up to 36 months or 2.9% for up to 60 months. -I naturally called the Dealership and they confirmed the add but only had 4 left (2 RTs & 2 RTS', no RTL). They closed at 5 pm also and I was not about to wait. -Being a 2 time new owner of Herb chambers cars I called Herb Chamber's of Burlington and spoke to Jillian who confirmed over the phone that they had 10 in stock with 3 RTLs (I thought the sunroof, compass & homelink features + leather for less than $3K extra was nice). She also said they could better Ron Bouchard's and take $7K-$10K off MSRP plus Honda's 0%APR for up to 36 months or 2.9% for up to 60 months financing. She was rather hasty and it was difficult to get specific answers from over the phone. She asked me to come in since they were opened until 9pm and I did. -I drove 1 hour out of my way only to find out that Jilian had left for the day when I asked for her. I worked with Amjad Aslam who was professional and rather robotic. -After checking with the manager on duty, Aslam said I can get $K off the MSRP but without the 0% or 2.9% APR financing or get $6K off MSRP + 0% or 2.9% APR financing. I pointed out that this contradicted what Jillian told me over the phone to lure into the dealership. -I was disappointed that they couldn't even match the $7K off + 0% or 2.9% APR financing let alone do better at $7K-10K off as promised over the phone. -It got worse when Aslam entered the info on my trade in w/o even examining the car the conveniently left out features like moonroof and TCS so that the Kbb value was significantly low. -It was a good thing I had done my research prior to going and pointed out that I was not going agree to the transaction know that I was not getting a fair deal. -I left went back to Ron Bouchard's Fitchburg the next day and they still had the RTS which I bought for $7K off MSRP + 2.9% APR for 60 months and got great value for my trade. -I was pleasantly surprised when the sales person personally introduced me to the Service manager and Assistant service manager. -Thanks to Ron Bouchard's Fitchburg I am a proud Honda owner and looking forward to working with their service department. -After buying 2 new cars from different Herb Chambers dealerships, I have learned that the chain is ran like a fast food restaurant, the deal is sweet as long as you didn't do any research to know you are getting screwed and will regret it as soon as you drive off the lot with your purchase. -I will avoid herb Chambers like I do fast (junk) food restaurants. Spoke to woman in the service department. She was very rude. I do believe she had no customer service training. I will not be doing business with them again. I had a fairly simple question pertaining t rude. I do believe she had no customer service training. I will not be doing business with them again. I had a fairly simple question pertaining to warrantee. She could have given me the answer simply by saying "If there was no accident or damage to the part physically by blunt trauma, then it would be covered by warrantee", but instead she would not even look it up. She said simply that the car must be brought in to be looked at. I think she was lazy. She definately was rude. No apology. No flexibility. More
1. They take days and never return car on time. 2. 1. They take days and never return car on time. 2. Charge excessively high putting some unknown things on list. 3. They probably break more things 1. They take days and never return car on time. 2. Charge excessively high putting some unknown things on list. 3. They probably break more things that they fix. The agent suggested in begining the it was just 90 k service and little change in break so it would come to 600 bucks. Later he put so many other things like Bush change and tire rotation which was not necessary as I just had bought all new tire couple of months before. The most needed things was break because it was reaaly in bad shape. Rotor was damaged , so after requesting 10 time what they did was replacing the break pad. My rotors are still the old ones after Paying almost $"1500". I never go there again. Then my remote key is also not working now they kept it and told that it will be fixed but I dont know when. Conclusion avoid this place as much as possible. More

I would recommend this dealer to all of my friends and family and have. I've already had three friends that have purchased their honda's here and they all had equally excellent experiences as I did! My husband and I went in looking for a specific car. We had already been to another dealership and had done our homework online regarding pricing and options. The first quote we were given was very, very had already been to another dealership and had done our homework online regarding pricing and options. The first quote we were given was very, very high. Stupid high. We were dumbfounded and let the salesperson know that we had a quote from another dealership that was over $2,000 cheaper, and he acted like it was impossible. Finally, after some pretend haggling with the sales manager, he came back and acted like it was a miracle of some sort that they could match our other quote. We weren't very impressed and said we needed time to think about it. We planned on going to lunch across the street and told the sales manager and salesperson that we may be back after lunch. The Sales Manager on the floor was a total JERK. He walked by, glaring at us, and muttered something about "they won't be eating there..." As if he were angry at us for doing our homework about the pricing of the vehicle we wanted. The salesperson tried to smooth it over and followed us out the door, trying to talk us into putting a deposit on the car before we left!! Way too pressured for us. We needed time to think. WE are SO GLAD that we walked out because we ended up with a way better deal on the same car at Peter's Honda of Nashua. We will never go into Herb Chambers- Burlington again- the high-pressure sales tactics and unprofessional sales manager were the deal-breakers. I would not recommend any of my friends or family to this dealership, knowing how they operate. More
I have to say reading these other comments on the site I am absolutely stunned they could be talking about the same dealership. When I arrived to the dealership I was friendly greeted by TJ Madden. He sat m am absolutely stunned they could be talking about the same dealership. When I arrived to the dealership I was friendly greeted by TJ Madden. He sat me down at his desk offered me a coffee and really helped me understand the honda product and which car could fit my needs and my budget. Less than an hour later I was driving my new CRV home; fantastic car by the way.. So overall, I would definitely recommend this dealer and especially TJ Madden. More

This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Over the phone, my husband and I were quoted one price, and when we went in to buy, we were told we had been quoted the incorrect price and we would now h the phone, my husband and I were quoted one price, and when we went in to buy, we were told we had been quoted the incorrect price and we would now have to pay several hundred dollars more. In the course of trying to buy our Honda, we were accused of lying several times, left waiting for long periods of times, and the sales people attempted to intimidate us into buying a car. We finally walked out, and will never again return. DO NOT GO TO HERB CHAMBERS!!! More
Most horrible car-buying experience ever (April 2006)--STAY AWAY!! Price was fair (researched KBB and Edmunds first) for 2003 Civic, and salesperson Amjad was fairly nice. Classic bait-and-switch, 2006)--STAY AWAY!! Price was fair (researched KBB and Edmunds first) for 2003 Civic, and salesperson Amjad was fairly nice. Classic bait-and-switch, though--I called beforehand to ask if they had any pre-owned Civics or Integras in stock with manual trans--they said they had "plenty." Of course, got there and they had only one. Paid $400 extra for the pre-owned "certification." Dealer didn't provide ONE PAGE of documentation! What should've been provided but wasn't? • Owners manual • New Car Warranty manual • Certified Warranty Booklet • Copy of HCUC 150-pt. Inspection Checklist • Radio Security Code (if battery dies, radio won't work without this) They also promised, but failed, to fix rear bumper damage, and delivered the car 3 days later than they had promised, with only 1 key (not specific to checklist, but not exactly "like new" either). As for the documentation, after 3 phone calls to the sales associate, his supervisor took my call and actually threw me the "they're in the mail" line. Suffice it to say--never got 'em. And will never give Herb Chambers another cent of my business! STAY AWAY! More
