What a rip off! They tried to hold onto the new car for two weeks after taking the title on the old car and then wanted more money to release the new car! Purchased my Explorere through HC Ford and that was a very good experience. Service has been another issue. I had a few quick services that were good (oil changes) but anytime more work was done I was very good experience. Service has been another issue. I had a few quick services that were good (oil changes) but anytime more work was done I was typically left unhappy. Cost is high (to say the least) and they act as if you are getting a great deal. Huh!?!? I've had work done that was unsatisfactory and left me needing to have my vehicle seen again for the same problems. I use a local mechanic for service and he has been great so I stick with him. Shouldn't have to go back multiple times for the same things (especially a dealer). Buying is one thing, service is another at HC Ford. More
I have a 2008 Honda Civic. I always went to Bernardi before since it is closer to my house. My car has the Bernardi's service due sticker with the service due over 2 months prior but since I didn't driv before since it is closer to my house. This time I decided to go to Herb Chambers in Westborough since I found a printable coupon online. When I went to Chambers, I was told that I didn't need to change my oil. I mentioned to the man that my car service was actually due over 2 months prior, why not change the oil? I was told that the new Honda has a computer reminder and it doesn't go by the mileage/date anymore. This was the first time I learned that I didn't need to spend money unnecessarily. While by now, Bernardi had called me twice to remind me to change the oil. Sure, that made me feel so special being reminded to take care of my car but if I don't have to spend my money for something unnecessary if I don't have to. I was so impressed with the Chambers because they were so honest. I have never gone to any car dealer/service that turn me down from getting money out of me. Who would? Business is business, it's all about money. But Chambers surely has honest workers. - I don't remember the name of the employees there but he is an African man, the other one is a Caucasian man who was on the desk. They both were very friendly. - The people at the Bernardi Honda too were so friendly but the only thing that discouraging me to bring my car there because there was a mechanic who gave me a free car wash but begged for my phone number. He didn't want to close my car door until I gave my phone number. Eventually I gave out my phone number so he let me go. He did call me once but I never returned.(I didn't want to give wrong number because I thought I was going to return for service). I was friendly to him because he took care of my car but I wasn't interested in dating the man. Professionalism is important. If not, you lose a customer(s). With the Herb Chambers, for every service you can free car wash and the guy won't ask for your phone number to get to know you only because he washes your car. Thanks Herb Chambers, I will go back to your shop again from now on for every single thing that my car need. More
Bob Nichols was very knowledgeable about trucks and was easy to deal with when it came to the money side of the transaction. He took very good care of me for the beginning of the transaction to the end. I have also called back with technical questions after the sale and he has always been able to help and gotten back to me quickly. I like the feeling that he is still willing to take care of me after the deal was done and the money changed hands. Paul Scannell was a salesperson at another Ford dealership. When that dealership closed, we had a choice of conducting business at a Ford dealership in our town (about 2 miles from our home), or to dealership. When that dealership closed, we had a choice of conducting business at a Ford dealership in our town (about 2 miles from our home), or to "follow" Paul to Herb Chambers in Westborough (about 45 miles away). Because Paul has always provided excellent service and a fair deal, we decided to try the Herb Chambers dealership. The service from this dealer is outstanding - both from a sales perspectice (Paul Scannell) and service. We have purchased or leased at least 6 different vehicles from Paul. We see no reason to change - we are completely satidfied and would highly recommend this dealersip. More
HAd brake work done, just pads. One moth later the LF caliper froze. I told them what was wrong. Charged $90 for diagnosis of caliper frozen. $800+ to repair and one week later the brake fluid is all ove caliper froze. I told them what was wrong. Two yrs ago had play in steering 3 trips before they fixed it. They replaced front steering before they realized it was a gear box. Luckily it was under warranty. Believed me only after insisting that service mgr drove it with me. More

I went in to Herb Chambers Ford in Westboro to buy an Explorer using the x-plan. They tried to sell me a demo under the x-plan (which is not allowed by Ford), then tried to tell me the documentation fee Explorer using the x-plan. They tried to sell me a demo under the x-plan (which is not allowed by Ford), then tried to tell me the documentation fee was a state fee and couldn't be waived. (when using the x-plan ford does not allow dealers to charge a documantaion fee) and they locked the keys to my trade in in the car, basically keeping me at the dealership for 3 hours. I called my wife to get the second key, once she got there, they wouldn't let her see me. She walked in the office where I was with finance guy, gave me the key, we told them to forget the whole deal and walked out and as we drove off, the sales manager was basically chasing me down to try to get me to stay. HC Ford of Westboro is a bunch of liars and I would never reccommend them to anyone More
