I purchased a 2011 Ford Escape from Derek Duval back in September of 2011. He was a great salesman and very honest. The vehicle was dirty inside and looked like it was used as a demo for a while. I was told it would be all cleaned up nice and ready to go the next day. When I went to pick it up, it looked the same as it did the day before. Derek told me that he had to touch it up and felt bad that it was not done properly by the dealership. I took it anyways figuring that I could do it myself. Bad choice. I recently returned to the dealership for evidence of a leak somewhere in the vehicle that caused alot of moisture on the floor of the drivers side. First of all, I was told there was no leak and that the carpet was dry. The carpet was wet before I aired it out all weekend, which happened at least 6 times throughout the year. They decided to do a leak test and behold the sunroof was misaligned which caused the carpet to be damp. I was also told that the carpet would be cleaned but not replaced. When I went to pick it up, the carpet was left dirty and damp. They continue to tell me that the carpet is not wet or had any signs of mildew. I was extremely agitated and made the manager feel it and smell it. Then I was told they could take the entire rug out, clean it and let it dry in the bay for a few days then come back to pick it up. The inside of the car had grease on the seat and right along the side panel of the drivers side. The manager took it back and only cleaned part of it. I told the manager I will never purchase a car there again. I should have never drove off that lot with a new vehicle looking the way it did. More
Through Edmunds.com I received an offer on a transit connect from Trista Sedoma. Upon researching other dealers I decided to go to Chambers Ford of Westborough as their pricing was decent and according connect from Trista Sedoma. Upon researching other dealers I decided to go to Chambers Ford of Westborough as their pricing was decent and according to Trista (who I called and confirmed their existence before my trip) the two vehicles we discussed were still in stock to be viewed. With this, I made the hour and a half trip up and was ready to view the two vehicles make a decision and purchase a vehicle. However, all of this was about to fall apart. Upon getting there I asked for Trista but was given George Asare, who said he could help. When I told him I wanted Trista as she had all my information he told me he would get her. He then came back and told me that he would have to show me the vehicles as she was busy with someone. We then walked out to look at the vehicles and he started the usual sales pitch and questioning about me to which I told him Trista had all that info. He then proceeded to tell me that he needed the info as she was not a salesperson and he had to help me. She "only does internet and just answers email". None of which was ever told to me, and if this is the case, why does she quote customers? Upon getting to the vehicles he then informed me that the two vehicles I was looking for were not there but I could look at others. I then stated that if that was the case I was not too happy as I confirmed with Trista and came from over a hour away. He then stated that they were probably somewhere else or "at the other property". Now I was confused do they not have them or are they missing? Upon going back in and George starting the sales pitch and the "we have other but they are a bit more", i told him that if the vehicles I was looking for were not there I needed to know. He then told me that in fact they don't have them. I told him I was very upset as this was a waste of my time. He told me that he "had something else to do" and walked off. Stay away from this dealer, they don't care about customers and like to bait and switch. More
The dealership is great. Salespeople are very friendly everybody grids me and made me feel like family. My salesperson was great. He was very knowledgeable and very very professional. On June 22 2012 I visited Herb Chamber Ford Westboro. I did not expect to leave with a car and was very sure my credit was not great. I arrived with my two kids and husband and we were welcomed right away. did not expect to leave with a car and was very sure my credit was not great. I arrived with my two kids and husband and we were welcomed right away. My kids were very comfortable thanks to all the staff. Paul and Edgar Rivera gave me a once in a lifetime experience. Which was to walk in ask for a car ( just weighing my options) and leave with a new car and real plates all in the same day and just in time for the weekend. I never had such a great, fast, and respectable service anywhere. I never felt better about spending $20,000 in my life and can't wait to do business with Herb Chambers again. It's naturally hard to shop with kids. They made it a breeze! I would like to thank your staff for unforgettable customer service. After this other dealership had pushed back the delivery date numerous times I called Herb Chambers. They worked hard to get me in the car I wanted in a very timely manner, checked all and any specials I would qualify for and had a less expensive lease option for the identical car. The staff was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable and had a few "small talk" conversations which made it seem less of a wait while all the paper work was processed. I would highly recommend anyone looking at a car to check out Herb Chambers, and Herb Chambers Ford of Westborough as you will not be disappointed with the people, price, and overall service. Beyond disappointing. I had been in contact with internet sales Lisa Dennis was quoted a price for a Fusion. I explained to her that I would have difficulty getting in for a week or so, she said no problem. sales Lisa Dennis was quoted a price for a Fusion. Kathleen then went through the usual song and dance. I told her about the price and the lease that I wanted and spoke to Lisa about, had my car appraised and came back with the numbers. Let me preface this with the fact that I am an informed buyer, I know well in advance what my car is worth and what the dealer pays for a car. i have no problem with a dealership making some money. That being said they offered me 11k for a car that was worth 14-15. Told me that they had to discount the trade in $1200 because a mileage discrepancies on my carfax, they said it is a lot of work and time to get that fixed. I found a link on carfax and filled out one online form, 12 hrs later they corrected an obvious clerical error. Herb Chambers LIED about the amount of work and time it takes to fix an issue on carfax. They tried to make a quick $1200. They then said I had hail damage on my roof, none existed. Then Kathleen tells me that the quoted car and rebates expired and that the car would now cost 24k. I laughed and told her that I would need the keys back to my car, she then starts with let me get my manager, I said make sure you bring my keys back with him. He tries to smooth things over with well what would it take to get you in this car. I said it would have taken you as a dealership to be honest and not try to make $7k on me. I told them that they were not even in the bill park and that their offer is insulting. I requested my keys again and said I will not ask for them again. They handed them over and they lost a sale because of their arrogance and desire to screw a customer. it's funny because they did the exact oppisite of what Lisa Dennis said in every email that I still have....Herb Chambers will not be beaten in service, selection and OH YEAH...Price...here a hint Lisa and the rest of Herb Chambers in Westboro...Framingham Ford beat you on everything, you have a lot to learn about customer service.
