I once made the mistake of going to a Ford dealership in Framingham, MA for repairs. The service and attitude was absolutely horrible. WE got a great deal on our 2004 Taurus there. I have worked with Scott & his service crew for years and have always been quite pleased. My '03 Ranger Tremor is fantastic and the buying process was so easy-it was my first purchase on my own :). I have had some random things happen to my truck and the team worked tirelessly to repair things in a timely and cost effective manner; never have I had to return to have a repair repaired, always done right the first time. I will be in the market soon for a car with more passenger (read: large dog) space and there is no one else I would go through! I rec. Herb Chambers Ford to everyone. I live in NH and drive all the way to HC because of the impeccable service I receive-sooooo worth the field trip. More
Recently I brought my 2005 Explorer in for service work at Herb chambers Ford, the visit was very pleasent the work was done on time and I was even treated to some donuts. Horrible customer service from the start. I stood there for 20+ minutes before the service writer even said anything. Then gave me attitude. I took it in for plugs, wires, and a PVC hose becasue I really for 20+ minutes before the service writer even said anything. Then gave me attitude. I took it in for plugs, wires, and a PVC hose becasue I really didn't feel like doing it myself (I used to work as a mechanic but can't bend like I used to). I figure $200-$300 tops. I left the vehicle there for the day so they'd have plenty of time. They called me right back and qouted $550. A bit high in my book for somethign so simple but it was already there so I said ok. "We'll do it this morning!" they said. Got there at 4:00 -not ready. Then I got the bill. $800 for plugs and wires! I was too angry to speak. Also, while I was waiting I heard the stories they told people. Oh my God. I see how Herb made his money. I'll never go to a dealer again. BEWARE!!! More
I brought my car in for inspection & was rejected on emissions. They never said what code came up, or offered a guess at what the problem may be, however they did offer a 160$ Diagnostic to find the pr emissions. When I fixed the problem & went back for the free re-inspect, all I was being told was that it was still failing...no further explanation was given except for pay 160$ to find out why. Worst dealership experience EVER! More
