After a lot of Internet research about the dodge dart, I found that the trim level that I wanted was out of my price range. AJ was more than helpful in allowing me to test drive two different trim level veh found that the trim level that I wanted was out of my price range. AJ was more than helpful in allowing me to test drive two different trim level vehicles with two different motors, he was extremely knowledgable about all of the vehicles and trim levels that we discussed. After discussing pricing I realized that I would need to step down to the lowest trim level in order to afford the vehicle. After explaining this to AJ, he showed me the demonstration model that was on the showroom floor. I was blown away by all of the features and couldn't believe everything the car was capable of. The price tag was way out of my price range, HOWEVER AJ was able to deliver me an unbelievable price!!! I had only planned on test driving the dart that day, but after getting such an amazing deal I had to buy it. I would strongly recommend AJ to anyone in the market for a new or used car. He was honest, straightforward, extremely knowledgeable, and beyond helpful! Being the first new car and first car I had ever financed and explaining this to AJ, he walked me through the entire process. Staying in contact with me over the week and carefully explaining all of the steps needed in or order to obtain my dream car! I can not stress enough how great of an experience this was! I have found my lifelong dealership and car dealer. I highly recommend all of the employees at Herb Chambers in Millbury, especially AJ. More
This was truly the best buying experience I've had. I had been to several Jeep Chrysler dealerships over the last month looking for a specific Jeep. I conducted my research and knew what my trade in was had been to several Jeep Chrysler dealerships over the last month looking for a specific Jeep. I conducted my research and knew what my trade in was worth and what the Jeep I was purchasing was worth. Unlike other dealerships, Zack and his team came at me with their best price first. They also didn't haggle with me over my trade in. We immediately arrived at a number we were both comfortable with. It was truly a painless transaction. Zack even went the extra mile and provided exceptional service by having the Jeep driven out to my home personally becuase I could not make it in the following day to pickup the Jeep after it had been detailed and made ready to leave the lot. He had a driver come out to my house and drop off the new Jeep, transfer my plates and then drive my trade back to the dealership. Lastly, Zack offered a free leather Jeep keychain and a few free oil changes for the inconvenience of the Jeep not being ready for pickup the night I signed the paperwork. At the end of the day, this was the absolute best car buying experience I've ever had and I plan on returning for my next vehicle. Thanks, Zack and Mike. Robert More
First thought walking in on a Sunday was looking for information for a possible sale new or used to remove me out of a vehicle that I was upside down on. with the intension that they could not help me o information for a possible sale new or used to remove me out of a vehicle that I was upside down on. with the intension that they could not help me out of a lease that I was stuck in by Diamond Chevrolet, then I meet a salesman named AJ that looks no older than me and possible amateur in the field. but as I drill multiple questions and concerns at him he answers with the best and most reasonable answers that are effective to my situation. the professional knowledge of the vehicles he presents and sells shows in the confidence in training he has received and the why he carry's himself. the sales and finance team at this dealership worked beyond any other has for me to get me the truck that was a major necessities to my line of work. I could recommend this dealership and group of individuals 10 out 10 to any friends or co works for their endless effort to give the customer what the want with out the crazy stress of over paying. If I could name one flaw in the system it would have to be sticking a high speed guy like myself in a soccer mom van, but I feel that brings character and the personality of a sale out and not only did the loaner van bring good laughs but comfort ability that I now have to return for future purchases. A.J. was very personable and knowledgeable about the Ram Truck I was interested in. He did everything to make a great deal without the "pain" of the usual dealership haggling. I looked at other dealers inventory and they didn't have the truck I wanted. They were more concerned about selling me what they had in stock than getting me what I wanted. A.J. did a great job. He even went so far as to set aside all the stuff I left in my old vehicle for me to pick up later. I was so excited about my new truck that I forgot to clean the items out of my old car. I would recommend A.J. and Herb Chambers to anyone interested in a new car or truck. More
This was a great car-buying experience! Benito, our salesperson, and Brandy, in the Finance Dept, were wonderful! We were in and out within 3-4 hours, and we just felt good about the purchase process. salesperson, and Brandy, in the Finance Dept, were wonderful! Herb Chambers has definitely made us faithful customers. Thank you! More
I am a self-professed car guy - vehicles are more than point A to B to me. I do my homework and I have a gut feel for what I want and what it should cost. I don't like giving money to car dealers who don' point A to B to me. I do my homework and I have a gut feel for what I want and what it should cost. I don't like giving money to car dealers who don't recognize that this is both an emotional and rational purchase for me. Three weeks or so before I planned to buy my next vehicle, I "popped into the dealership" with my young kids. The new Jeep GC was atop my list and I wanted to sit in one and just get an initial feel b/c the FX35 was next on the list and I've had good luck with Infiniti but the Detroit origin was compelling. So, Miguel (whom I never met before) meets me out front while I'm looking a demo Overland - he opens it up, I put the kids in the back seat and I start to take a look. Kids are crazy, Miguel is cool - good start b/c I'm trying to determine if this is the type of place that will aggravate me. I tell him obviously I'm not having a conversation now but I'll be in touch and he hands me a card. I emailed him a few weeks later - with stock #'s of 3 vehicles on their lot that have all of the possible option combinations I care about and that I'll be in the next morning around 9:30 so have them out front b/c I'm bringing the 'boss'. Miguel calls the next morning around 9AM and says they're ready. I was on my way there anyway to see if I'd get a response to the email. I get there, vehicles are ready, we drive, we close in on the combination I want quickly and I already know which stock # I want b/c I had their inventory with me - with the internet prices, invoice prices, my trade values, dealer hold backs, my target price, the whole nine. We're ready to talk $, and the sales manager joins the conversation. I give the model number for the new one I want as well as the demo that is 10ft away - the one my kids tormented, I think. I simply state - "make your best offer first - I've done the research and I have a trade number and Jeep number in my head - you meet or beat the net number, I buy; you don't I move on." They come back with a number - they beat my number (sorry guys). Awesome - but the black one I want is gone (Henry Ford shivers). Their sister dealer had one (I had their inventory too). The sales manager makes some calls and works it out and Miguel offers to get it this week, very nice of him. We meet Steve, we get the paperwork done without much fanfare and I get the Jeep a couple of days later. All good. So my advice is to do your homework - a vehicle is a big $$$ purchase and you can "win" an honest negotiation in many cases. Dealers deal - the unprepared set all the things into motion that people complain about - the tactics, the games, etc. Do your research, be honest about where you are at in the process (whether you have other models to look at, kicking tires, prepared to purchase, etc.) Prepare your negotiating parameters - have a researched, viable number in your head before the process starts. Know the vehicles and how they are optioned so if there is something close on the lot you like, you can recalc your target price on the fly. In the end, they sold a car and I got a great deal because my wife and I were prepared and I told Miguel at the onset if the pieces fell into place, we'd buy. Find the right vehicle, then the price. I never gave them a target price for my trade or the Jeep - I gave them the confidence that I would buy if they were serious about selling and I had a number in my head that I felt was mutually fair. Miguel and team were straight-shooters and so was I - no drama. While we were waiting, a couple was behind us trying to negotiate without a plan - salesperson took them apart in 5 min not because he was a bad guy but because the 'buyers' weren't prepared and he was able to discern that with a few questions and determine it was a waste of his time. He was right. Do your homework, then go see Miguel if this dealer has vehicles that you're interested in. More
