I had taken my Buick in for brakes and an oil change. As always, I called Scott a few days ahead to see if it is ok to take the car in. He always says yes or lets me know if he will need to order parts before something has to be done so I am not wasting my time. He recognizes me, my name and my car all the time. This morning when I got to the service door it was a few minutes early. I just shut my car off to remove the car keys from my other ones while I waited for service to open. As I was doing this he must have seen me, opened the doors and told me to pull on it. He remembered what I was having done. When he told me I also needed shocks and to have them done soon as they were leaking badly. Asking him if it would take long to add that he said total about 2 1/2 hours for everything.. it was just about 2 hours when I saw that my car was ready and he was bringing it around for me. Earlier than anticipated.. nice! Anytime I have a question, he always answers then says "we will take care of you". He will always try to get things done in the most inexpensive way and not try to "rake" me on parts or unnecessary service. The mechanics are great; they infrom you of things that need to be repaired immediately or in the near future. It is nice to be warned ahead of time. I know if I run into unexpected problems, I will be given a ride home (and back) or be set up for a loaner. Getting the car back washed and vacuumed is an extra perk too. That's nice. Herb Chambers is the only place I go to since moving back to Peabody six years ago (and also when I lived here prior). I can always count on great service, and no smooth talking to get more money out of me- just the facts, and any options I may have, to get the job done and done right. It is the little things as I have mentioned that make us as customers feel like we are the only ones being taken care of no matter how busy it may be. Friendliness and going the extra step keeps me coming back. More

It's well worth the drive, time, traffic and energy to go all the way out there to make sure my 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche gets the service it needs. They always greet me with a smile and are very pleasant! The dealer provides services and completes it in time as promised. We own a 1998 GMC suburban that has 386,000 miles. I came in with my 2000 Park Ave for service and after repairing it I told him I might be looking to get a newer car down the road and he was able to introduce me to the sales department which I later found two new cars and traded in my Park and Grand Prix GT and, hence, left with a new Impala and Tahoe LTZ. Since having him service our cars very efficiently I have become the biggest cheerleader for Herb Chambers. Without meeting him on my original first visit I would not have bought two new cars and have converted from other dealers. This certainly has been a wonderful experience for us in the car industry. The quality of work at Herb Chambers Chevrolet is always fantastic, and in the rare event a problem reoccurs, it is dealt with promptly. I have tried having service done at other garages for a lower price, but problems, poor quality and lack of trust always sends me back to Herb Chambers Chevrolet. For the quality of work done, and the level of service, the price is fantastic. More
Last month my transmission went in my car. I got estimates from two local transmission places figuring they would be the most knowledgeable and affordable, boy was I wrong. I was terrified at the prospect of bringing my vehicle to a dealership, where I assumed it would cost at least twice as much, again I was completley wrong. I brought my vehicle to Herb Chambers and was really put to ease. Instead of just assuming that my "Transmission was Junk" and charging me thousands of dollars to install a new one like the other guys were so fast to do, Mr Pollock in their service department actually seemed to care about figuring out what the actual problem was and trying to help me out, not just bilk me for my money and get me out the door. After some investigating on his part, he told me that it was actually just a minor problem that could be fixed for about a tenth of what the so called transmission experts at Aamco and the other place (who's name I can't remember) wanted to charge me. I was blown away by Walter's knowledge and actual sense of caring, something which is hard to find these days. Even though I live about an hour and a half away from Danvers, there is no doubt that I will be back to Herb Chambers, and Mr. Pollock any time I need anything done to any of my family's vehicles. I couldn't be more pleased!! More
