I have had the second, third and fourth generations of the Prius for 7 years. The last one being the Prius Plug In. It was a very good car, but I got hooked on having a almost all electric car for my shor the Prius for 7 years. The last one being the Prius Plug In. It was a very good car, but I got hooked on having a almost all electric car for my short daily trips. As the Prius only gave between 9 and 11 miles daily. And I was uncomfortable in cold weather trying to avoid using the heater as it ate up the electric miles.(also the gas engine kicks in sporadically). I started looking at the Volt literature and chat lines and then decided to test drive it. That was satisfactory so I then decided to order one exactly as I wanted. The dealership was totally cooperative and the car was recently delivered. So, here is your answer. It is the best car that I have ever driven. It is solid with a great ride. I can use it in all electric mode and the climate control is excellent. I like the electronics and appreciate the thought that went into them. ( I am a former software programmer). That is my story. Lorne Keplar took care of my taillight and headrest today that i was waiting to have done. My husband and I were very excited to trade in our current vehicle for a new one to accommodate our new family. However we were appalled at the trade in offer. The salesman we dealt with (Kevin) was f current vehicle for a new one to accommodate our new family. However we were appalled at the trade in offer. The salesman we dealt with (Kevin) was fabulous and we were very excited to give him our business. Unfortunately for him the finance and sales manger and the mysterious "boss" who was making the ridiculous offers cost him the sale. We were told that "they don't play games and their prices and offers are fair" thanks to their computer program. However we did play games for 2 hours in which they took their ridiculous offer and eventually brought it up $5,000.00. At this point my husband and I felt that not only had our time been wasted but our intelligence insulted as well. We had been offered $8,000.00 more for our trade at another dealership and 9,000 more from the Chevy dealership we originally bought the car from 4 years ago. Knowing that our car is a well sought after vehicle, it was very frustrating to "play the game." I will say that everyone was friendly, but helpful no. No one likes their time wasted or their intelligence continuously insulted. As for the other dealership we have dealt with I did not appreciate the employees at Herb Chambers insulting them and therefore insulting us for having bought a car there 5 years ago. Again, Kevin you were outstanding and great to work with, and I apologize for not being able to make the sale with you. More
I came in hoping to get a quick oil change. I had a young child with me, and needed to get her home as soon as possible. Kevin made it a point to make sure I was put in the front of the line. The customer service at this place is great. I brought my truck in with a couple issues and the woman in service was extremely helpful. Had a wonderful experience with leasing my first car on my own at Herb Chambers. I first met Corey Stewart last October when I started looking for a new car. I arrived at the lot thinking I would just wa my own at Herb Chambers. I first met Corey Stewart last October when I started looking for a new car. I arrived at the lot thinking I would just wander around on my own. Corey came out, introduced himself, and spent a great deal of time with me talking about the cars I was interested in and taking me on test drives. His professionalism, knowledge and friendliness are outstanding! I told him that I wanted to look at other dealers and other makes. There was no pressure and he gave me his card and told me I could call him with any questions that I might have. At other dealers I was left mainly on my own with little or no help from the staff. This past summer I saw an ad for leasing from Herb Chambers. I decided this was for me at this time. I called Corey to see if he could help me with this and we made an appointment for me to come in and meet with him. Once again Corey's help was wonderful. I now leases a Cruze (which I call Tom). There were two other men that I met that helped with finance. Don't remember the names but very good. As were all those I encountered at this dealership. I brought my 2005 Chev. Silverado Z71 in for an Inspection sticker, front end alignment and to check why all 4 tires were losing air on 10/18/13. The service advisor was Mr. Scott Lyon. Scott was very polite, courteous and professional as usual. I have been dealing with this dealership and Scott for over 21 years. My vehicle was serviced in a timely manner and the price for the repair was great. Scott explained what was repaired on the vehicle as he usually does. I have never had a bad experience at this dealership and I would recommend this dealership and its Service Dept. to anyone. I would not bring my vehicles anywhere else to be serviced based on the friendliness, quality of work, and the honesty of Scott Lyon and the dealership as a whole. More
