I found Herb Chambers BMW Boston when the local BMW dealership I ordered my new 2011 X5 from ordered the wrong vehicle for me "twice". I wasted a lot of time going to the other local dealership (4 wee dealership I ordered my new 2011 X5 from ordered the wrong vehicle for me "twice". I wasted a lot of time going to the other local dealership (4 weeks), and I had to begin from scratch with the ordering of my new vehicle. Now I didn't expect to get my X5 until October (my lst. order with the other dealership was placed the 3rd. week of July)....WRONG! My new X5 arrived exactly four (4) weeks from the day I ordered it,as promosed by Jim, and everything was perfect. Jim MacKenzie @ Herb Chamber BMW Boston was beyond great. He explained to me that you could order packages for the vehicle. This was the first time any package was described to me. He helped me choose the best package/amenities for me. Jim was also very knowledgeable and creative with different finance options available. At no time was there any pressure, only knowledge. My salesperson @ the other dealership gave me no information on the finance options available. Jim kept in touch with me every step of the way with great patience. When the time came to pick up my vehicle several days ago, the experience could not have been better. First, everything in the car was exactly as ordered. Everything was perfect. Jim went sat with me in the car and very patiently explained all the bells & whistles. Jim has also kept in touch with me since I picked up the car just to see how everything was going, and he has invited me to come in to see him anytime I need any help with all the many amenities my X5 offers. Then, there was "Azi", Director of Finance. I signed all my paperwork with Azi, and he was also great. Azi explained everything to me clearly, and all the paperwork was straightforward. In fact, Azi helped me choose the extended warranty that was best for me, and actually kept me from choosing one that I would not have been happy with. Additionally, the dealership itself is very classy. Lots of new vehicles on the showroom floor to look at, everyone dressed in business suits, people waiting on you from every direction (cold drinks, etc.), plus we were able to call ahead to make an appointment with Jim so there was no waiting around. He greeted us when we walked in. BTW, if you wonder why did I not go to Boston originally....laziness...sheer laziness..the other dealership was practically in my backyard. Note: This is the 2nd. BMW we have bought from Jim MacKenzie/Herb Chambers BMW Boston. We purchased our son's car from Jim as well. That was also the same great experience. I have had many new cars over the years, and I have never had such an all around great new car buying experience. I highly recommend this dealership. This is my own personal opinion~ P.S. I am a long time BMW driver and a big fan of the 5 series. I am now driving my fourth car purchased from Herb Chambers BMW of Boston and sold to me by Kevin Bugbee. I continue to marvel at the enduring consistency of the quality service they provide at every level--sales, service, follow-up, etc. This review was precipitated by two recent events and a suggestion by a friend that I visit this site. I am two years into ownership of my current car, a 550i, and I was not scheduled for any service or sales interaction. I recently received, out of the blue, a beautifully wrapped package containing a handsome, high quality pen with a simple note from Herb Chambers and BMW thanking me for my loyalty. The package contained no come-on, no promotion, no quid pro quo. I also recently received a call from Kevin Bugbee suggesting that I join BMWCCA because of my long time affiliation with BMW and the many benefits that BMWCCA offers to BMW fans. I visited the BMWCCA website, liked what I saw and joined. Again, this tip came with no strings attached--a simple thank you. BMW is a great car, Herb Chambers runs a great dealership and Kevin Bugbee is a great salesman. More
My BMW was approaching lease end this September, I was referred to Kevin Bugbee from my neighbors whom have done business W/Kevin on several occasions. (they both drive BMW's & re-lease every 3yrs)I calle referred to Kevin Bugbee from my neighbors whom have done business W/Kevin on several occasions. (they both drive BMW's & re-lease every 3yrs)I called Kevin, gave him a list of options that I was looking for and told him I needed his best price, and that is what I got. I cannot express how painless this experience was, my husband not a fan of playing the car dealership game was pleasantly surprised as well that I got so much accomplished without him needing to step in, (as in the past at other dealerships & in dealing w/other sales consultants)Kevin was totally on top of things and when my trucks delivery was delayed due to an act of god Hurricane"Earl", he was more upset about it than I was. He was overly accomodating and followed up each day with a status. Kevin was also responsible for returning my 535XI to the leasing company for end of lease and that was another seamless transaction. I highly recommend Kevin to anyone in the market looking for a painless & easy experience. I also know that in 36 months I do not have to worry or dread about having to deal with the "typical" nonsense when shopping for another BMW and will go directly to Kevin. More
Kevin is the epitome of customer service. He made my lease turn-in process as easy as pie. There was a miscommunication on my appointment, but he didn't want to keep me waiting. We bought a used Mazda3 at this BMW dealership. They were not very knowledgeable about the car they were selling. This is the third BMW that we have purchased. On the day we visited the dealership, we were assigned to work with Client Advisor Ahmed Jabrane. Over the course of one week, we viewed several vehicles and contemplated leasing or buying a pre-owned certified BMW . During this time, we worked with Ahmed Jabrane and found him to be professional, very knowledgeable, quick (with information and finance matters). Our decision was an important one as we were buying this car for our daughter who will use it when she returns to college next year and we wanted the vehicle to be reliable have the appropriate level of maintenance/extended warranty. Ahmed listened to our needs and prioritized what we expressed was most important to be included with the vehicle. The transaction was completed within the week and we were very satisfied. More
