In dealing with Henry Brown, we found them to be extremely accommodating. The sales department was excellent, no hassles or harassment. However, their finance department is seriously corrupt. Like the review post on 5/2/2009 by Jessica B they also tried to tell my husban harassment. However, their finance department is seriously corrupt. Like the review post on 5/2/2009 by Jessica B they also tried to tell my husband and I that they couldn't get us approved through our credit union as we requested. They stated that they tried multiple other banks as well but "no one would touch us." They did however get us financed through the company they work directly with, Ally Financial. In disbelief that our credit union denied us we purchased the vehicle through Ally as we thought this was the only bank that would finance us. When we got home from the dealership with the vehicle something just was feeling right about the information that was given to us. The next morning we contacted our credit union as we couldn't believe they denied us (we both have good credit). Interestingly, we learned that this was not the case. The finance department had not even sent the loan application to our credit union and they didn't deny us. We processed the application ourselves and we instantly got approved with a significantly lower interest rate to boot. This company misrepresented information to achieve financial gains by closing a loan out through "the company they work directly with." We immediately contacted the dealership with our complaints. We demanded the appropriate paper work to complete the loan process with our credit union, which they did provide for us. However, they still processed the other loan as well and excepted the loan funds from Ally even though they knew we were not using that company. The dealership then tried to tell us that maybe next Tuesday or Wednesday they would write a check to pay off the loan with Ally and overnight it to them. This was not acceptable to me and I made that known. The loan with Ally has allegedly been reversed. I will be contacting Ally on Monday to confirm this. Don't believe ANYTHING this finance department tells you! DO NOT finance anything through them! They will scam, lie and cheat you!!!! More

I was in the market with for a GMC Terrain and knew exactly what I wanted. I knew the dealer did not have the vehicle but I knew where they could go to get it. I had helped a friend buy there before exactly what I wanted. I knew the dealer did not have the vehicle but I knew where they could go to get it. I had helped a friend buy there before so I figured I would have a leg up since a relationship was already established. I could only remember that the salesman name was Jim and it turns out there are 3 guys there named Jim. I told them exactly what another dealer had quoted me on my trade in and price for the new vehicle and then the games began. They told me I was crazy and that my used car was worth several thousand less than KBB trade in. They couldnt have seemed less interested so I walked away. Never a follow up. I wont go back to them. I worked with another dealer with an exceptional internet department that was able to locate the vehicle I wanted and make provide a fair price for trade-in. Based on my experience, if I bought here I would have overpaid several thousand dollars. NO THANK YOU! More

I have brought my car to Heidi before and have always felt comfortable with her recommendations. I have never felt pushed into anything and she has always given me great suggestions that make things easier on me. Heidi made sure I got my money's worth and that everything that could be addressed under the warranty was taken care of. I am a single mom with limited income so every penny matters and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that. I feel that Heidi is extremely knowledgeable in her field and her positive emery and customer service is outstanding. I will continue to bring my vehicle to Henry Brown because of Heidi and the rest of the very helpful people there. It's nice to have such a positive feeling about bringing my car in. From the moment I arrived, everything was tended to and most of my expectations were exceeded. Heidi did exactly what she said she would, with a smile. When it was apparent that the part my vehicle needed most of my expectations were exceeded. Heidi did exactly what she said she would, with a smile. When it was apparent that the part my vehicle needed for replacement would not be there within 24 hours (Christmas week), she went out of her way to find alternatives. Traveling with my family, a compact rental would not have worked either for the couple days the vehicle would be out of commission, considering the rental policies included with warranty coverage. She went out of her way there again and made sure we had a larger rental that would accommodate us. While waiting in the open showroom area (thankfully there is no "waiting lobby" with People's Court on and old coffee, a stigma at domestic dealerships), I was able to watch and overhear some of the sales activities. This is a classy operation, having been in and working with many dealerships around the country. I'd not hesitate to return for service or to buy if I were in the area rather than Los Angeles. Great job Henry Brown GMC/Buick! You have a great dealership and obviously know how to hire the right people. Keep up the great work! More
