The purpose was to check out inventory and test drive the highly recommended Lexus. I landed at Hennessy Lexus of Gwinnett. Fortunately, a friendly and knowledgeable salesman, Larry Bassett, approached me on the lot. Larry cheerfully answered all of my questions as well as shared a tremendous amount of pertinent information I had not encountered during my on-line search. To make a long story short, I found the car that had everything that I was looking for and more. Thank you Larry for making my first Lexus purchase an enjoyable experience!! More

The Worst Dealer Where do I start? - Joe Cha, the internet salesperson, was the worst salesperson I've ever dealt with in buying a car. Were it not for the low miles, Where do I start? - Joe Cha, the internet salesperson, was the worst salesperson I've ever dealt with in buying a car. Were it not for the low miles, and the color I wanted, I would NOT have bought the car. Joe was very argumentative from the very beginning. He even threatened to not sell the car if he had to include a bottle of touch-up paint with the sale. Joe was all about what he could NOT do, instead of what he COULD do. It was so bad that I had to refuse to deal with Joe to complete the sale. And I certainly did NOT want to bring my wife around Joe with his extremely negative attitude. I insisted on being switched to a different salesperson that had some people skills and that was more customer satisfaction oriented. When we got to the dealership, the "new" salesperson insisted that we sign paperwork agreeing to the price of the car BEFORE he would even open the door to the car and let my wife and I look inside the car. We had only seen pictures of the car on the internet. --- They also insisted that we fill out a credit application even though we were paying cash for the car with a Certified Cashiers Check from a very well-known bank. All this BEFORE they would even open the door to the car so we could look inside of it. I'm almost 60 years old, and I have purchased a lot of cars in my lifetime. This experience with Hennessy Lexus was the worst car buying experience I've ever had. I would not recommend that anyone do business there. Everything was done wrong. Also, the car (2015 RX350) was advertised on their website for $28,300 as a discounted "Pay in Full Cash Price," only to be told they would not sell me the car for that price that was shown on their own internet site - saying it was a mistake. Yet there were/are other 2015 RX350's at various dealers selling for around $28,300 with similar mileage (just not the color I wanted). --- So, I believe Hennessey Lexus could have sold the car at the $28,300 advertised price shown on their own website and still not lost any money. That would have been the right thing to do. But they refused to do the right thing and honor the discounted "Pay in Full Cash Price" advertised on their own website. -- Bait and switch?? Also, this RX350 was advertised on their website as a "Certified" car, which includes 2 extra years of warranty and some other benefits such as some free maintenance and roadside assistance. Yet they sold us the car as NOT-Certified and at a higher price than their advertised $28,300 “Pay in Full Cash Price.” --- Had the car been sold to us “Certified” we would have had a total of 3 years of warranty on the car. But because they sold it NOT-Certified we only had the 1 year left on the original warranty. --- So, we had to pay $1,735 more dollars for an extra warranty to give us 3 more years of coverage. We would not have had to pay this $1,735.00 for an extra warranty had the car been sold to us “Certified” like it was shown in their website advertisement. They also added $96.00 to the bill for "Nitro" in the tires, which I did NOT even ask for. Plus they added a $595.00 "dealer fee." Also, the rear license tag frame on the car when you buy it has the names HENNESSY and GWINNETT on it. I asked Joe for a tag frame with the LEXUS name on it instead. Joe said he'd check into it, but I never heard back from Joe. So, I do not recommend that anyone do business at Hennessy Lexus in Gwinnett. But if you do go there, do yourself a favor and get a different salesperson from the beginning than Joe Cha. . More

The time it took to negotiate a price and finalize financing has always exceeded a multitude of hours. Doing business with Hennessey Lexus (Larry in sales and Tom in finance) was extremely simple and pleasant. I was able to see the car, test drive the car, negotiate a price, and complete financing in just under two hours. Unheard of. No hard pressure sales or financing gimmicks. I would highly recommend these gentlemen for anyone looking to purchase/finance a car. More
