Visited dealership on 11/06. Left and emailed an offer on a 2010 LaCrosse. Offer was countered and I accepted. I was to return 11/08 but was told the car was at the airport and wouldn't be back until 11/10.I a 2010 LaCrosse. Offer was countered and I accepted. I was to return 11/08 but was told the car was at the airport and wouldn't be back until 11/10.I was contacted on 11/10 at 3:00pm by salesman (Scott) and told the car was there. I told the salesman (Scott) I would be at the dealer between 6:00pm and 6:30pm. I went to dealer and arrived at 6:40pm. and was told the car was already sold to someone else. I asked salesman (Scott) why I wasn't called and told the car was being sold and he responded that he did call. THAT was another lie. The actions of this so-called salesman is a typical example of why car dealers are looked down upon by the public. I realize that the salesman will contradict what I've said, HOWEVER, "I" have copies of all emails which serve to prove the car was mine to buy. This would have been the second vehicle purchased from Hennessy by myself. At this point, I will NEVER buy a car from them again and will never even slow down and look at the dealership when passing on the road. All I can say to any potential customer of Hennessy, BUYER BEWARE! More
This is a response to the dealer's response to my negative rating: in point of fact, I did gave these guys a deposit, so again, their waffling on about "largest dealer...stuff happens...etc" is pure negative rating: in point of fact, I did gave these guys a deposit, so again, their waffling on about "largest dealer...stuff happens...etc" is pure crap. I think it's pretty clear by reading these posts that a pattern of unethical buisiness practices emerges. I have also been contacted by GM about these guys (did not seek GM out) who are looking into their business practices. So if you are a youngster with no negotiation skills, or just plain stupid, you'll be OK at this dealer - they'll take your money and give you a car in return. If you're used to working with professionals, avoid this place like a biohazard area. More
In March of 2010 I negotiated a price on a used Chevy truck, drove a hard bargain but the salesfolks agreed - I even have the agreement in writing, via an e-mail. I was out of town working and was unable truck, drove a hard bargain but the salesfolks agreed - I even have the agreement in writing, via an e-mail. I was out of town working and was unable to pick up the vehicle for a few days - but in spite of our agreement and with complete disregard for ethical business practices one of the salesman sold the truck (to someone who was willing to pay more) before I could pick it up. They blathered on about some "mix-up" - said it was a "mistake" - yet failed to return any calls I made. Once I confronted them in person it was clear they were simply lying, had got a better offer and had sold the vehicle in spite of their previous commitment to me. It'll be a cold day in xxxx before I shop there again - these guys are typical used car salesman and all that that implies. Dishonest, unethical, without honor. If integrity is important to you spend your money elsewhere. More
Do not waste time at this dealer, especially if priced over internet or email. They will offer a good price, but conveniently admit to a "mistake" even though price was confirmed in writing 3 times. Aft over internet or email. They will offer a good price, but conveniently admit to a "mistake" even though price was confirmed in writing 3 times. After playing the manager / sales time waste game, they will apologize (to themselves) for possibly losing the sale. They will not apologize to the buyer who wastes time and travel or try to do anything to make it up. Bad experience and will not refer. More
Be very careful buying a used car from this dealership especially luxury cars. They will not disclose cars have been wrecked. Regardless of what Car Fax says you better ask your local dealership to give especially luxury cars. They will not disclose cars have been wrecked. Regardless of what Car Fax says you better ask your local dealership to give you a service record report before you buy on the VIN number. They are completely awful and know how far they can take it. I love the "What you see and what you don't see is what you get" paper they make you sign before you take it home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They knew when they bought my car from the Lexus auction based on price that something was wrong with it!!! I have truly learned my lesson with these people. NEVER EVER BUY FROM THEM! More
I purchased a used 2009 Pontiac Vibe GT for this dealership on Saturday. During the test drive we noticed that the passenger floor board was damp. The salesman, Michael Johnson, said that it had rai dealership on Saturday. During the test drive we noticed that the passenger floor board was damp. The salesman, Michael Johnson, said that it had rained the previous day and that one of the windows was not entirely rolled up. He apologized, said they would clean it up and that it was no mechanical issue. We bought the car took it home. On Monday morning we go out to the car, after a heavy rain storm, open the door and find nearly a FOOT of standing water in the car. Major leak somewhere. So far they have offered to fix the car or take it back. But overall, I feel that they were aware of the leak and sold us the car anyway ... huge lie. Beware of this dealership. I am convinced they will do anything to sell a car. More
I bought a used jeep online sight unseen. There were 16 photos of the vehicle, an accurate description of the jeep. I called, all my questions were answered courteously and efficiently. We received a great photos of the vehicle, an accurate description of the jeep. I called, all my questions were answered courteously and efficiently. We received a great deal then had the car shipped up north to michigan. This transaction took place within 4 days. When I had a question concerning the title, the person in charge of titles fedexed the title and proper paperwork to me immediately. What more could you ask for? I would reccommend this dealership to anyone who enjoys great and prompt service, friendliness and courtesy. Thanks so much!! ML, Michigan More

I contacted Hennessy GMC about a vehicle they had listed on autotrader, and talked to one of their internet dealers about their vehicle for sale and a possible trade situation. I had another trade offer on on autotrader, and talked to one of their internet dealers about their vehicle for sale and a possible trade situation. I had another trade offer on my truck which I intended to trade and asked if they could match that offer. There first quote came in a little short of where I needed to be, so I gave them another chance. I told them exactly what I needed to make it work on my end, and we needed to work out a good faith quote before I committed to making the long drive to their dealership. (That should not be difficult for them to do, since I was trading a late model GM truck at a GM dealership.) They promised me that we they could do that, as long as my vehicle was as I described it to them (which I knew it was). So I took a half day of vacation and made the four hour drive from Savannah to their dealership. I examined the vehicle that I was interested in and everything seemed to be in order. After about an hour they got around to looking at my truck and came back with a number that was about $900 less than what we agreed upon. This number had nothing to do with the condition of my truck, but they said it was due to the fact that my truck was a work truck model and they did not take that into consideration. They printed out my description, and I pointed out that I clearly stated in my description that it was a work truck, and I also gave them the VIN and pictures to confirm that information. They admitted it was an over site on their part, but still wanted me to loose $900 for their mistake. They eventually came up $500 dollars, but I still felt that was too much money to loose for their mistake. I left their dealership with only wasted time and driving expense. They did fill up my truck with gas for their mistake. However, that was my suggestion and not theirs. I know the amounts shown are not huge when it comes to vehicle purchases, but I feel it does show a lack of integrity and respect for the customer. More
