DONT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE. I took my car in today (Sep. 24th, 2022 for a 1045 appointment) around 11am. My service provider let me know that my drain plug was stripped BUT NOT I took my car in today (Sep. 24th, 2022 for a 1045 appointment) around 11am. My service provider let me know that my drain plug was stripped BUT NOT BY THEM they said it had to be from the last Toyota I went to for an oil change which was in San Antonio, TX in February, 2022 (8,000 miles ago). I want to add that I also went to that San Antonio location for my 5,000 mile rotation in June 2022. Both times took long but I was never made aware of my drain plug being stripped or leaking oil. IN 8,000 MILES I HAVE NEVER HAD A LEAK. No stains in my driveway nor my parking spot at work. I have driven from San Antonio to Charleston, SC with zero issues. Today all of a sudden my drain plug is stripped and now my oil is leaking. The service provider did not call or attempt to call San Antonio dealership. He said I could call and address it with them. When I spoke to that San Antonio Dealer they asked why I would be calling as a middle man and said they couldn’t take accountability for something that they have no eyes on and to have the Hendricks Toyota call them (manager to manager). The service provider and the service Manager, Chad refused to call the dealership in San Antonio. Chad told me I was being difficult because I had my dad call who is a diesel mechanic which I found sexist and rude and believe he only felt that way because my dad pushed him for answers on how the drain plug could be leaking for 8,000 miles and not one light turn on for engine check or oil, etc, no leaks FOR 8,000 miles. He said to me I don’t understand what you want me to do. I told him please call over there and he said it’s not my responsibility and told me he didn’t want to waste my time when they’ve said they won’t take accountability (which he only knew that because I told my service provider they won’t take accountability unless you the managers in Charleston call the manager in San Antoni). I also asked why can’t his mechanic, Eddie (at Hendricks) call the San Antonio location and ask the service team there why/how they stripped my drain plug. To which he just stared at me and said there’s nothing he could do. Chad treated me like xxxx and I felt gaslighted and belittled. I am a female and if it wasn’t made clear I called my dad to ask him what everything meant regarding a stripped drain plug that required a 900 dollar (estimate with taxes) replacement of the oil pan AND drain plug. The entire situation was handled so poorly. I wanted to verify that this mistake could be paid for by the Toyota that made the mistake and stripped it. What I got was no accountability and being talked down to by the service manager and turned away. And please don’t let me forgot to add that they unplugged my dash camera in the front and rear. Somebody needs to speak on 1. Females being treated poorly under the assumption we don’t know anything about cars. Whether a woman knows or not we’re putting our car in the care of a team who we would hope and except knows what they’re doing so how I’m offended that Hendricks of Toyotas, mechanic Eddie, service manager, Chad, and service provider, Josh tried to lead me to believe I had a leak in my car since February (8,000 miles ago) 2. Work on your accountability. More

Great place to get big jobs done. I had an oil leak that I found while changing my own oil. I dropped it off at the dealership and they called me a few hours later with the news that I had an oil leak that I found while changing my own oil. I dropped it off at the dealership and they called me a few hours later with the news that they located the leak, but all parts were in stock. I was able to pick up my vehicle after work and it was good as new. The service staff were awesome and got me to and from work with their shuttle. I do what I can on my own, but they will be the ones doing anything that I'm not qualified for! More
Disappointed 8 year long customer. (I am willing to edit and/or remove any comments of this review that can be proven to not be true) I purchased a highlander in 2013 from Hendrick Toy (I am willing to edit and/or remove any comments of this review that can be proven to not be true) I purchased a highlander in 2013 from Hendrick Toyota of North Charleston and had a good experience. For 8 years I drove up to North Charleston to get my car service despite Fred Anderson being closer to me. I did this because I had a good experience here and still will give the service department a 5 star rating all day long (I really liked them). I regularly referred friends and colleagues here but no more. Recently I had a disappointing experience and have since canceled my car order with Toyota of North Charleston (I have not received an email that tells me if I will be getting my $500 deposit back). I have documented all my interactions and this is not just an upset review. I have since ordered a car from Fred Anderson Toyota that gave me a much better price and was transparent on pricing. Reasons why I wrote this review and why I would not recommend this dealership: 1) Not fully transparent with regards to pricing which in my case involves mandatory add-on's implemented by Hendrick Automotive group for which I could not find a consensus after calling different dealerships. (I am not talking about the add-on's on the price quote, those prices were clear and upfront) I was ok paying this dealership more for a car given my 8 years of excellent customer service that I had. 2) I requested help from Toyota in this matter (3 calls) The last call I was told that this dealership marked my case as resolved with the customer to the Toyota customer service line but I did not hear anything from anyone (This at least was my understanding of the case. I have the case number). 3) I also contacted the Hendrick Automotive group and again, I have not heard back from them. I also have a transcript with my interactions. Finally after canceling my order I asked to be contacted only by email. I still have not had a follow up email. A very disappointed customer. More
