I traveled from Jacksonville, FL to Charleston, SC via Greyhound to purchase t This was the worst experience I have ever received at a car dealership. I traveled from Jacksonville, FL to Charleston, SC via Greyhound to purchase this vehicle because it was such a great deal, and the car is absolutely fabulous, and I'm so happy with my purchase. The customer service; however, was awful. I was there when the business opened; however, it took almost 2 hours to meet with the gentleman in finance. While in there, I was confused on the tag and titling process because I had my own tag to transfer to the new vehicle (I had just sold a car). I thought I could hand carry my paperwork to the DMV in Florida; however, I learned that that was not possible in SC; however, I was able to do that when I purchased a vehicle in GA. After speaking with the Finance Manager, Mr. Meuli, I accepted their response. However, the most frustrating event occurred on my drive home to Jacksonville, FL. Upon my arrival at home, I noticed that my 30-day temporary tag was no longer affixed to the vehicle. Apparently, it blew off somewhere during my four hour drive from SC. I tried contacting the dealership on that day, July 8, at approximately 6 p.m. to no avail. No one ever answered the phone. I finally made contact with someone on Sunday afternoon, who asked me to call back on Monday. On Monday morning, I spoke with the finance director, who said they would FEDEX me another tag, which would arrive approximately Wednesday. The worst part of that conversation was when the finance manager, Mr. Meuli, ACCUSED me of purposely removing the tag from my vehicle. He said I did it "because I wanted to put my own tag on the vehicle". I had the tag with me, so that doesn't make any sense to me. If that were the case, I would have done just that! Why would I remove a tag to render my vehicle inoperable??? I am retired from the Navy, and work in a legal office; integrity is very important to me. At any rate, I was beyond frustrated and visibly upset and asked to speak with the General Manager, and for the first time, I felt like a valued customer at Hendrick Toyota. Thank you, Mr. Jason Scott. I received my new temporary tag the very next morning. Based on my horrible experience with this dealership, I will never purchase another vehicle from any Hendrick dealership. I also reported to USAA, whose car buying services I used in making the decision to purchase from Hendrick Toyota, the concerns regarding the way they treat their customers. More

Easiest car buying experience ever! I researched through Truecar, then received a prompt message from Sara Duncan at the dealership. I was given all the info I asked for and directed to apply for financing through the web site and had an answer quickly. Sara was a GREAT communicator who told me everything I needed to bring for finance documentation on the phone, since I live an hour and a half away. We made an appointment and were greeted by Karriem Agner who took us for a test drive and answered ALL our many questions and was awesome to work with, even walking with us in the heat to check out what else was available! Next was Adam in Finance who is a real professional. He gave us lots of good information about protecting our investment and had us all done and on the road in record time. An added bonus was the offer of ice cold water which might not seem like a big deal, but it made us more comfortable. Easiest car buying experience ever. And...we got the car we wanted. Will recommend to family and friends. Well worth the drive! More

Friendly, efficient, and on-line service. On arriving at noon for my service appointment, I was promptly greeted and able to hand off my keys in the span of about 2 minutes. I had been given an estimate that the service would take about 1-2 hours over the phone, and Bill, my service rep, confirmed it, so I opted to wait. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, and catered to my caffeine addiction with complimentary Starbucks coffee (water was available for those for whom coffee isn't required on a continuous drip to the bloodstream). At 1:40, Bill came out to let me know that the service was nearly complete, and advised that, while not critical, the cabin air filter should be replaced. I had been aware of the issue, accepted the very reasonable quote for its replacement, and the service team was able to complete that as well as the other service and had me out the door at about 1:55, still slightly ahead of the original outside timeframe. There's almost always something one can find to gripe about in a service experience, but I was very pleased to find absolutely nothing whatsoever that could detract from grading this a flawless appointment. Very highly recommended. More
