Straightforward for the most part 8-8-2018 I'm 68, last purchased a new vehicle, until yesterday, in 2011 at Hendrick Honda, Hickory, and purchased in 2009 at Hendrick Honda, Concor 8-8-2018 I'm 68, last purchased a new vehicle, until yesterday, in 2011 at Hendrick Honda, Hickory, and purchased in 2009 at Hendrick Honda, Concord. I performed the diligence due in order to be prepared for the purchase of a 2018 truck, as best i could. Have been looking for a smaller truck for maybe 10 days. This Toyota dealership provided, by far, the easiest no b.s. buying experience of any new vehicle dealer, that I contacted or visited inquiring about Toyota and Chevrolet new trucks. Basically the deal was by phone, short and pleasant. There was a slight misunderstanding about the step by step navigation, which I had required as part of the purchase price by phone before visiting the dealership, but Hendrick Toyota Concord, Joe Burke and Austin Conn delivered what was agreed upon. I am extremely pleased all went well. At other dealerships of the various aforementioned brands, maybe in Hickory, Winston-Salem, and the Huntersville area, be leery of posted SALE prices listed near msrp. That price may not necessarily apply to you. And some sales jerks at other may feel compelled to alter the price after all agree to terms. .My feeling about this tactic: If a potential buyer agreed to a price, those dealer lackeys consider they may be able to squeeze another $500 out of the deal, wearaing you down. And another xxxxxxx may want you to call the dealer that gave you a written price. The think you may be up to their tactics----lying. Not at Hendrick Toyota. Be up front if you are not interested in dealer add ons, expended warranty and the like. Relate this to the dealer money manager at the outset, and be pleasant but firm with the person trying to sell those add ons. I bought no extras, no additional warranty, because I will, in all likelihood, drive this truck no more than 4000 miles yearly. And i will purchase my personal can of Scotchguard, and I still am able to wax a vehicle. Call Joe for a price, haggle a bit, visit Austin and, hopefully, like me, you will leave the dealership still feeling clean. Thanks Wally More
