Shady Sales Manager Hendricks Toyota of Concord, Buyer Beware!!!!!!! I have been shopping for a New/Used Toyota Tundra truck for quite some time and I finally found one t Hendricks Toyota of Concord, Buyer Beware!!!!!!! I have been shopping for a New/Used Toyota Tundra truck for quite some time and I finally found one that was exactly what I was looking for. I contacted Hendricks and spoke with a fantastic salesman, Thomas Murrell. Thomas was knowledgeable, helped me with whatever question I had and after a few days of going back and forth, settled on a price for a 2017 Toyota Tundra Limited TRD edition with 29k miles, for $37,800. I asked Thomas if I could put a deposit/hold on the Truck because I couldn’t get there until Saturday morning 7/27 because of work. Thomas stated he already spoke to the sale manager and told him I would be here on Saturday and we were good to go. Thomas and I spoke Friday 7/26 and told him I submitted the credit application to start the process and get that out of the way. Thomas acknowledged that it had been received and I would be financing $32,800 after putting $6,400 cash down. We had a casual conversation and ended by stating we would see each other at 9:30am Saturday morning. On Saturday at approximately 8:45am as I was about to walk out the door, I received a call from Thomas stating someone else was here with a check in hand to buy the truck and that another salesperson sandbagged us, knowing full well the truck was spoken for already. I told Thomas, the sales manager already knew we had a deal and that I was on my way. About two minutes later I received a call from Sales manager Jeffrey Reeves explaining that he would make it up to me and that he couldn’t/wouldn’t hold the truck for me and was selling it to the other guy, knowing full well Thomas and I struck a deal a few days prior and that I had filled out the credit app and was actually on my way up to purchase the truck when I was notified that the truck was being sold out from under me. Reeves continued the Political BS, stating he wouldn’t and couldn’t sell it to me now because the other person was already here and said they would make it up to me by selling me another truck. I explained I did NOT want another Truck, I want the one that was agreed upon. I explained to Reeves, this is exactly the reason people HATE the car business because of shady/slimy deals like this. Reeves is a spineless weasel just like the Salesperson that sandbagged my sales guy Thomas. I would not recommend this dealership to anybody because they can NOT be trusted. Reeves is your Typical Sales Manager that will do whatever it takes to screw someone over, no matter the cost. I want to thank Thomas Murrell for his courtesy, honesty and professionalism throughout this process, and told him, you are the one that should be the Sales Manager, not Reeves. Guys like Thomas are far and few between and his honesty and professionalism should not go unnoticed. If you want a new/used Toyota, please go to Toyota of Gastonia, ask for Tracy Surratt, Tracy was honest, courteous and upfront with me from the word go. Couldn’t ask for nicer people to deal with. Toyota of Concord Mean What They Say. Toyota of Concord priced match another Toyota Dealer that was 2 hours away from our home. They delivered our specified Toyota Highlander Limited for the price we wanted with 0% financing for 60 months with no games on the out the door price. Bait and Switch I came into test drive a new 2019 Tacoma Off Road 4x4. I was upfront that my targeted timeframe to buy would be sometime after July due to needing my I came into test drive a new 2019 Tacoma Off Road 4x4. I was upfront that my targeted timeframe to buy would be sometime after July due to needing my existing car for a summer trip and wanting to pay the loan on it off first. At this point, the Sales Rep (Lance Lizzul) was made aware of my balance owed on my car. We completed the test drive and I communicated that I liked the truck. Lance insisted we run the numbers. I agreed but said it would not be where I wanted to be. He asked what that was and I told him the payment and term I would need to be at. The numbers he and Paul Shaw and Lance presented were far higher than that, which I fully expected. These numbers included my trade and payoff. I told them I needed to leave to get back to work... I was on lunch. They both approached my car when I was leaving and asked what it would take to do the deal that day. I said the payment and term given was what I would be willing to spend, but I will need to wait until I pay my car off to get there. They said ok and I left. Lance texted me the next day and said Paul can make the deal happen now, at My payment and term, and that all I needed to do was come in. I asked him to send me the numbers and I would share it with my wife. He called that night and said if I came in they would do it. Paul would make it happen. I asked why they can do it now and not before. He said they needed to make their numbers. I have kids and explained with work and school, it would be Saturday before I could come in. So on Saturday, he texted to confirm the appt. I said yes and I assumed that I was being told the truth. My Wife and I came in, she test drove it, and we heading inside to sign the papers. Lance comes back from the Sales office and presents an deal sheet that I fact is the payment and term we agreed to... great! Then I start looking at the numbers. The amount off msrp is way less than the $4k he original presented. I said this doesn't make sense, why are you charging more now? Then I notice he took out my trade payoff, which was already in the system and on prior deal sheets. Then it hit me, they did this just to get me to come back. Then comes the lease pitch. If I add the equity from my trade to a lease I can be at X. Then Lance condescendingly tells me I'm looking at the wrong truck. I said I looking at the right truck, but I shouldn't be here until July... like I planned. I believe the whole thing was to just to get me back in the door to strong arm me into a lease or less expensive truck. I was lied to and insulted... despite being upfront about my timeframe. This was such a waste of our time. I, in good faith, believed Paul and Lance. I guess I learned my lesson there. They made no attempt to stand behind their word to deliver on what they said. In the next couple days, I went to Huntersville Ford to test drive the new Ford Ranger. It was a great experience. Loved the truck. I told them upfront that I just wanted to test drive it and I would not be ready until July. We test drove, shook hands, and they said come back when you are ready. That is how a visit to a dealership should go. Instead it was extremely negative and deceitful at Toyota of Concord. If I get a Toyota in July, I will do myself the favor of visiting a different dealership. I find this very unfortunate being a resident of Concord. The General Manager, Donnie Moore, also sent a follow up email asking how the experience was. He gave his email, so I gave him the whole story presented here. Didn't get a response, so I can only assume that his sales associates were only doing what they were trained to do. I find this to be a very sad way to run and operation, but it is his to run. More

Keshon Wilson was an outstanding Sales Rep I was helping a relative finding a good car that fits her budget and lifestyle and we were lucky to work with Keshon. Keshon came to meet with us outs I was helping a relative finding a good car that fits her budget and lifestyle and we were lucky to work with Keshon. Keshon came to meet with us outside of his working hours just because the time was convenient for us. Keshon patiently showed us multiple cars and explained the new features and details of every car. Then he carried out our offer to his manager and professionally directed the negotiation process. I wholeheartedly recommend Keshon as your sales rep. While our experience with Keshon was pleasant, I felt that the top managers acted as if their customers were clueless pile of dollars. They also seem to push their sales reps beyond reasonable sale practice. Managers: as you have limited income and growing expenses, your customers do too. More
