Took car in for service on July 20th for timing cover reseal repair and oil leak, from previous recommendations. I was given a rental car and picked-up my car on Monday, July 24th. After picking it up, I reseal repair and oil leak, from previous recommendations. I was given a rental car and picked-up my car on Monday, July 24th. After picking it up, I noticed vibration when car was idleing, making roaring noise when accelerating, clicking noise under the hood and smell of oil in cabin of car. There was also an oil spot in garage. I called Toyota and returned the car to the dealership on and left it overnight. I picked up the car the next day and was told that the shop foreman test drove the car and it was fixed. If the car had been test driven prior to me picking it up, I feel like they would have noticed my concerns and not had me to pick up the car. My service advisor Chloe wasn't there when I brought/picked up my car and another advisor assisted me, but wasn't happy about having to help me (both trips). Chloe was always so helpful and professional and I was sorry that she wasn't there when I had to come back. When I picked up the car, I asked the service lane manager if I could be refunded my labor charges of $1,002.77 for all the trouble. His reply was "Everybody makes mistakes, and no one is perfect." Yes; that's true; however, that's the exact reason that my car should have been test driven and inspected by the foreman or supervisor prior to contacting me to tell me my car is ready. I'm just thankful that I was knowledgeable enough to know that these issues were not normal and that my engine didn't lock-up on me while driving my car. This is very poor workmanship and I feel I deserve to have my labor charges refunded to me. This really makes your dealership look bad. I would appreciate a reply from you very soon. More
