This dealership made it possible for us to buy a beautiful car that we can grow into and have for a lifetime. All the employees were friendly and personable. We must have had over 10 individuals congratulate us on our purchase. I would recommend anyone to purchase their next car from this dealership. More

We had been on the web site looking and saw one was at the dealership. We went to see Julius at Hendrick Toyota. Buying a car most of the time is not a pleasant experience, but Julius was a great help and made it not so bad. Our old SUV had 156,000 miles and we are anticipating to exceed that with our Highlander. More

I was somewhat worried about going to a big dealership. I went through the internet sales folks and talked with James and Chris. Great people. We worked on a certain price that I needed to be at. I really wanted a 4runner. After a few phone calls and some discussion the final price was achieved that all of us could live with. We went in and signed paperwork and was on the road home in a couple of hours. Never felt like there was much pressure. We just worked together on the price. Very happy to be back in a Toyota. Good bye Honda More
Figured you would want to know about my experience at the dealership. It went from good to bad to incredibly frustrating and bad. Until the point of sale I was very impressed with the dealership. The date dealership. It went from good to bad to incredibly frustrating and bad. Until the point of sale I was very impressed with the dealership. The date of purchase of a Prius V was Nov. 24, 2013. I knew what I was buying, down to the floor mats, and Hendrick Toyota came in with a price better than their competitors in the CLT area - I'd visited 3 other dealerships. Part of the negotiated deal was a rear bumper guard. A $40 piece. It was promised to be on the vehicle when we took delivery a couple of days later. It wasn't and we were told it was on backorder. Living a good distance away (which was communicated to the salesman) I was hoping to have the bumper guard installed when I picked up the permanent license plates and was told I’d be called when the license plate arrived. I was not called when it came in. I called in December to see if the bumper guard had arrived and the salesman would not return my calls. I tried emailing. No response. Finally, I called and was told that the permanent license plate was in – 30+ days later, still no bumper guard, but was told I would be called when it came in. Finally in mid-January, after again hearing nothing from the dealership about the rear bumper guard, I again started calling the salesman and left messages. Then I called the parts department I found out that the part was never ordered. After trying to get in touch with a manager a couple of times - wasn't successful - the salesman finally returned my call. He claimed that the part had come in and been given to someone else. I even offered to just have the dealership give me $40 and I’d take care of it elsewhere, as the dealership near my house had 3 in stock. He said that he would go down and order the part right now and that it would be in overnight. A few days later I called again and the part was in…we're talking late January or early February at this point. I called the service department to make sure the part was in. I scheduled an appointment for 8:00AM on Feb. 15 to have it installed. Upon arriving at the appointment, there was no paperwork (WE OWE) there indicating that I didn’t have to pay for the bumper guard. I had to call my wife and have her text a picture of the needed paperwork that should have already been on file with the service department. Obviously, there is either a lack of effective communications between departments at Hendrick Toyota, or the salesman repeatedly dropped the ball, not paying attention to detail after the sale. Except for my putting off getting the bumper guard installed for about a week, the rest of the time I have had to persevere through this ordeal is incredible. Time I will never get back. The unanswered phone calls and lack of communications are very disappointing as was the overall experience. This is the second time I have purchased a Toyota (and 3rd time for my wife). After this experience, I am doubtful as to whether we will again go with a Toyota. So you know I’m not one to simply fixate on the negative, please know that throughout my repeated calls, the receptionists fielding my calls were extremely helpful and used common sense problem solving to try to help with the situation. Very pleased with the professionalism of this automobile dealership. Every person with whom we spoke to was extremely friendly and helpful. There was no pressure salesmen and we feel we received a fair de dealership. Every person with whom we spoke to was extremely friendly and helpful. My fault for going back. After getting totally ripped off for a catalytic converter replacement for my wife's Sequoia at the cost of over $1700 I should have known better. FYI...the check engine light came b for a catalytic converter replacement for my wife's Sequoia at the cost of over $1700 I should have known better. FYI...the check engine light came back on 2 weeks later and I fixed it myself for $270. Anyway I needed a used truck ASAP. Went there to look at the ones they had posted online, however they fail to tell you they may be at other locations throughout the country. For a non refundable fee they will bring it to Concord after you make a signed deal without seeing the vehicle!! Really???? The salesperson only wanted to talk about new vehicles and had no regard for our needs. Oh..and 3 hrs after we got home, my wife was missing her driver's license. When the salesperson made a copy of it he put it in his pocket and never called us to let us know he forgot to give it back. Toyota of Concord will never get another dime from me. Screwed over enough! Shameful business...SHAMEFUL. I rated the friendliness N/A because it is totally fake and doesn't deserve a rating. Rather ironic, but I bought a 2006 Tundra the very next week that I absolutely love. From a Dodge dealer. More
This dealership only works by deceit and lies. Nothing is as it seems. They will bully you and tell you want you want to hear, right up until you ask to see the final invoice, somehow then it always becomes as it seems. They will bully you and tell you want you want to hear, right up until you ask to see the final invoice, somehow then it always becomes your fault, that you misunderstood.... I went on several occassions to buy a particular used car and they couldnt get it right any of those times, including the last time when i finalized a deal with the general manager on a weekend, just to get an email after hours stating "so sorry we just sold the car" out from under me. Then had the nerve to ask if they can help me find another one. They are VERY NICE, however NICE doesnt sell a car, numbers and truth do. Nice may get you in the door, however that is not what is needed to close a deal, they are seriously lacking in that department. I am not sure they know what it takes to close a deal with a savy consumer. Gone are the days where being nice was the only skill necessary as a car salesman. Consumers are educated and want a good deal, with real numbers and someone who can answer questions about the product (really just to see if they know their own product, b/c we have already done the research). Needless to say i wont ever buy a car from them and I urge you not to get caught in their web of deceit, they will waste your time! Once again they lived up to the "car salesmen reputation". More
I went to the dealership and gave them my budget. I was done with deal with 30 minutes. Jim was very honest, responsible, and upfront. My husband saw an ad for a certified SUV on their website and called to get a price. That same day I visited the dealer in person (I did not know my husband had already called that morning to price the same and called to get a price. That same day I visited the dealer in person (I did not know my husband had already called that morning to price the same vehicle). I was given a price $1100.00 HIGHER than my husband. The sales manager would not budge on the price they had given me and said it was rock bottom (even after I showed them comps I had printed out from other Toyota dealers in the area with similar vehicles that were priced much less). Also, the salesperson said there were no financing deals going on (which proved to be untrue as they were clearly outlined on Toyota's website). Lastly, the salesperson kept trying to steer me towards a loan with a higher APR and a longer term, "so I could afford the monthly payments." Needless to say, I left the dealership and purchased my Toyota in Statesville and was highly satisfied!!! More
