Worst car buying experience of my life I contacted this dealership last Monday regarding a 2010 Tundra. I expressed my interest in the truck. My wife was in touch with Joe Burke concerning the truck. My wife did all the leg work concerning my trade in. This was all started at 9 am. By 4pm we still hadn't heard back from Joe regarding financing. Finally I decided to go with my bank for the loan. After I finally tracked down Joe Burke I told him I was coming in to have my truck appraised and look at the Tundra. When I arrived 2 hours later the Tundra was parked under a tree in the corner of the lot. Maybe Joe thought I was not serious about purchasing the truck. I test drove it and looked it over. I told Joe I would return tomorrow with the check from my bank. I returned the next day, Joe said he would have the truck ready in 2 hours. The truck was not detailed and the rims were all damaged due to wheel acid. When I expressed my concern to Joe Burke he got defensive and said "the dents ect.. were there last night". Then as we are finishing the paperwork he tells me that he screwed the numbers up on my trade in so I will have to come out of pocket 40 dollars cash in the finance office. What a joke. The truck was delivered with no detail being done. But the biggest thing was the wheel damage done to all 4 rims from wheel acid in the detail shop. When I brought this to their attention the response was the wheels were already like that. This is a total flat out lie. Im in the process of obtaining the online photos of the truck to prove Im right. Then Joe Burke calls me Wednesday morning to arrange the dent removal, he then proceeds to ask me "Why did I complain to Sonny"? "She doesn't even sell cars". Then when I told him my reasoning for it and asked if he felt he did a good job he hung up on me. talk about a lack of professionalism. More
Great place to buy a car I've purchased 2 cars from them. Both times I told them exactly what I wanted. They searched their extensive dealer network and found the right car. I've purchased 2 cars from them. Both times I told them exactly what I wanted. They searched their extensive dealer network and found the right car. We agreed on a fair price, they had the car delivered here, and I went to get it. No high pressure dealing. Just a good experience. More

Visited Hendrick Toyota Scion Concord on a recent busy Saturday afternoon. Test drove 2 vehicles, a Prius and a Camry Hybrid and saw several others. Brian Barry was our first contact by phone and we asked for him at the dealership. While Brian finished with a prior customer Mark Higdon assisted us. Both sales reps where helpful and informative. They showed a lot of patience answering our many questions and concerns and did not use high pressure sales tactics. We were able to negotiate a satisfactory price based on multiple internet sites and left with a new Camry Hybrid. We were pleased to discover both models do have a spare tire. While conducting our car search we learned some new hybrid models at other dealerships no longer include a spare tire or have space for them.. More

He took us on a couple of test drives and answered all our questions in a straightforward manner. When we noticed a part was missing from the car, he arranged to have it installed as part of the deal. I found the experience to be completely satisfying and suggest you ask for Brian if you want a no b/s approach to buying a car. More

We had been on the web site looking and saw one was at the dealership. We went to see Julius at Hendrick Toyota. Buying a car most of the time is not a pleasant experience, but Julius was a great help and made it not so bad. Our old SUV had 156,000 miles and we are anticipating to exceed that with our Highlander. More

I was somewhat worried about going to a big dealership. I went through the internet sales folks and talked with James and Chris. Great people. We worked on a certain price that I needed to be at. I really wanted a 4runner. After a few phone calls and some discussion the final price was achieved that all of us could live with. We went in and signed paperwork and was on the road home in a couple of hours. Never felt like there was much pressure. We just worked together on the price. Very happy to be back in a Toyota. Good bye Honda More
Figured you would want to know about my experience at the dealership. It went from good to bad to incredibly frustrating and bad. Until the point of sale I was very impressed with the dealership. The date dealership. It went from good to bad to incredibly frustrating and bad. Until the point of sale I was very impressed with the dealership. The date of purchase of a Prius V was Nov. 24, 2013. I knew what I was buying, down to the floor mats, and Hendrick Toyota came in with a price better than their competitors in the CLT area - I'd visited 3 other dealerships. Part of the negotiated deal was a rear bumper guard. A $40 piece. It was promised to be on the vehicle when we took delivery a couple of days later. It wasn't and we were told it was on backorder. Living a good distance away (which was communicated to the salesman) I was hoping to have the bumper guard installed when I picked up the permanent license plates and was told I’d be called when the license plate arrived. I was not called when it came in. I called in December to see if the bumper guard had arrived and the salesman would not return my calls. I tried emailing. No response. Finally, I called and was told that the permanent license plate was in – 30+ days later, still no bumper guard, but was told I would be called when it came in. Finally in mid-January, after again hearing nothing from the dealership about the rear bumper guard, I again started calling the salesman and left messages. Then I called the parts department I found out that the part was never ordered. After trying to get in touch with a manager a couple of times - wasn't successful - the salesman finally returned my call. He claimed that the part had come in and been given to someone else. I even offered to just have the dealership give me $40 and I’d take care of it elsewhere, as the dealership near my house had 3 in stock. He said that he would go down and order the part right now and that it would be in overnight. A few days later I called again and the part was in…we're talking late January or early February at this point. I called the service department to make sure the part was in. I scheduled an appointment for 8:00AM on Feb. 15 to have it installed. Upon arriving at the appointment, there was no paperwork (WE OWE) there indicating that I didn’t have to pay for the bumper guard. I had to call my wife and have her text a picture of the needed paperwork that should have already been on file with the service department. Obviously, there is either a lack of effective communications between departments at Hendrick Toyota, or the salesman repeatedly dropped the ball, not paying attention to detail after the sale. Except for my putting off getting the bumper guard installed for about a week, the rest of the time I have had to persevere through this ordeal is incredible. Time I will never get back. The unanswered phone calls and lack of communications are very disappointing as was the overall experience. This is the second time I have purchased a Toyota (and 3rd time for my wife). After this experience, I am doubtful as to whether we will again go with a Toyota. So you know I’m not one to simply fixate on the negative, please know that throughout my repeated calls, the receptionists fielding my calls were extremely helpful and used common sense problem solving to try to help with the situation.
