I had scheduled maintenance on Friday, January 3rd, for our brand- new Toyota RAV4 Prime PHEV. We purchased the car on 9/29 and hit a deer on 11/14, causing over $27,000 damage; the car only had 1500 miles our brand- new Toyota RAV4 Prime PHEV. We purchased the car on 9/29 and hit a deer on 11/14, causing over $27,000 damage; the car only had 1500 miles. We had just picked the car up from the body shop and wanted to have it checked out by the dealer where we bought the car. After waiting in the service line for a very short time, I was approached by an Assistant Service Manager, PATRICK MEECE. Patrick spoke to me about the collision and asked what concerns I had. I explained that, in fact, I thought the car was running very nicely and the only problem I could think of was it was not charging up fully; it's a PHEV. Prior to the accident, it was charging to 43 miles, post-accident it was only charging to 38 miles. Patrick got out the Owner's Manual and assured me that the issue was most likely a temperature issue; that the batteries were not fully charging because it was probably too cold in the garage at night. He asked me to keep a record of chargings: when it was charged, the level it charged to and the temperature when I charged it. He was confident that the charging level would increase when the weather got warmer. As he handed me his business card, he said "you have a lot of time and miles remaining on your warranty. If you ever have any problems with this car, you call me directly!" That's a long review but it was GREAT customer service. More
