After many trips to numerous dealership I'm glad I stopped by Hendrix Chevy. Upon my arrival I was immediately greeted with a friendly smile from two individuals at the front desk. I was offered bottle water and popcorn as a courtesy by multiple staff. My Sales Consultant Andre was great to work with. Andre was extremely kind and very easy to work with. Andre worked tireless on my behalf to negotiate a more than fair sales price on a not so easy deal. Andre was available by cell phone while I pondered of the decision to purchase a new car. I was really impressed that Andre went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable with the purchase of my new car. I would highly recommend Clinton "Andre" Upshaw to anyone who desires and honest and hardworking Sales Consultant!! More

We were looking to trade in the Camaro and get a new Equinox. Bob was so helpful doing work up front before we got there. He worked with us and found that to order an Equinox we would need to get a 2015. Bob made the early trade in a smooth transition and I can't wait to get the brand new Equinox. Thank you Bob for all your help. You have a great attitiude and we look forward to working with you in the future and will recommend you to anyone who is looking for a Chevrolet. More
Shameful Our Acadia had a well known transmission problem. I had used Hendrick many times for small items but thought I would try them for this transmission r Our Acadia had a well known transmission problem. I had used Hendrick many times for small items but thought I would try them for this transmission review. After spending nearly $100 to have the problem "diagnosed", (I told them exactly what the problem was...for free and they confirmed the diagnosis) they came back with the statement that the total repair for the transmission and a few "other" small items was upwards of $8,000. Knowing there was an issue, but not wanting to keep the car much longer anyway, I offered to sale it to them or use it for trade. Their offer....$1,000. First off, this was clearly unacceptable as the car could have been sold for scrap for more than that. I quite politely declined all service and proposals from them. Within one week, I had the car repaired for $3,000 at a much more trustworthy business and one that said there were no other issues with our vehicle. A month later, after being thoroughly inspected by another reputable used car giant, I sold the vehicle for $11,0000. In total, I saved $15,000 by not doing business with this very, very shameful company. More
Warranty Problem Corrected Spectacularly My daughter is in college in Kansas City, and we are in St. Louis. She was having starting problems with her new Cruise, took it to Hendrick Chevrole My daughter is in college in Kansas City, and we are in St. Louis. She was having starting problems with her new Cruise, took it to Hendrick Chevrolet for warranty repairs. After replacing her battery, her car was returned with a cracked windshield. She was feeling like she was getting the run around from the service department, but after meeting with Scott Landreth to address this problem, he was gracious enough to take care of the problem. My daughter was offered a new loaner car while her was being repaired, and it was completed within a day. This started out to be an upsetting experience for her, but came to a great conclusion thanks to Mr. Landreth and the others at Hendrick Chevrolet. Thanks for your wonderful help with a college kid that is too far away. Rob Schreiber More

I've purchas I am a professional buyer with 35 years experience and this was the 6th new car I've purchased from Hendrick/Superior over several years. I've purchased new ones from other Chevy dealers but the experience is not what you'll get with Hendrick. These guys are very good at what they do and will go the extra mile to take care of you and make sure your experience is the best it can be. This is now the 4th from Bob Winn at Hendrick and I've never found an easier salesman to deal with. Thanks Bob you're the best. More
Worst dealership service center I have EVER been to. They replaced the transmission on my brand new car when it was not need, later finding out that the noise was coming from the flywheel.. They put 39 miles replaced the transmission on my brand new car when it was not need, later finding out that the noise was coming from the flywheel.. They put 39 miles on my car, and wanted to test drive it one more day, to which I told them I would not be allowing them to do and I would be taking possession of my vehicle then. Derek Miller gave me an attitude, told me he would have to speak with a service manager to give me my car back, and soon after they pulled it up front for me.. I then asked for the service sheet for what they have done to my vehicle, and Derek then told me I couldn't have it and I'd have to come back the next day for it. I will NEVER return to Hendrick Chevrolet ever again! Absolutely horrible experience... Not to mention the scratch above my door from what looks like to be a ring someone was wearing, which was not there when I dropped the car off. More
Sorry this is so long, but this is actually a pretty short version of the disappointment we’ve been through at the Hendrick Chevrolet Dealership in Shawnee Mission. Let me start at the beginning. I un short version of the disappointment we’ve been through at the Hendrick Chevrolet Dealership in Shawnee Mission. Let me start at the beginning. I understand that new car salesmen are going to lie to sell a car. We were promised new headrests, paint chip touch-up on the front of the car (it was loaned out before we bought it), & a full tank of gas when we brought it in to pick-up the headrests & have the paint touched up. After months of calling about the headrests & no response we realized this was never going to happen. Now to add to the issues with buying the car, the car also bucks & jerks when driving at light throttle and the car smells like dirty feet every time you use the A/C. My wife took the car in & they worked on these issues a couple times. They finally fixed the bucking/jerking problem, but not the A/C. Fast forward several months & the car had a recall on the transmission shift cable. That was replaced & the transmission started bucking/jerking again when we got it back from the recall repairs. The A/C still smelled like dirty feet. My wife took the car back many times for these issues & they tried to fix it a couple times & then they just started being rude. Every time she would deal with Alex, she would come home crying. Mostly because he would not listen to her & she said he treated her like she was stupid. She would try to tell them what was wrong, but he would not listen. I even typed out a step-by-step list to give them on what the car was doing & when it was doing it & she said he wouldn’t even look at it when she gave it to him. He just would tell her nothing was wrong and she was imagining things. He even called her & accused her of stealing the loaner vehicle one time saying there was nothing wrong with her car & she only brought it in to drive a new car. At this point I had to get involved as this has been going on for over a year, yes more than a year. After asking to speak with the manager & e-mailing on several occasions, the manager finally called me. I truly figured my wife was exaggerating until I spoke with the manager, Bernie. I got the same rude/condescending vibe from him. He finally told me he would have Alex apologize to my wife for accusing her of stealing the loaner when she picked up her car. After Alex didn’t apologize the next time my wife took the car in, I contacted Bernie again & he changed his story to “I’m confident that term wasn’t used.” Anyway, now I finally get a meeting with Bernie in person to drive the car. We talked in his office while waiting for others to join us for a test drive. He was even more condescending in person. Basically my wife & I were imagining things. He claimed that in all the times they had worked on the car, no one at their dealership could smell this rotten stench in the car & no one could feel the jerking. I actually took several minutes of video showing this, but Bernie wouldn’t even look at it. I took him & what he referred to as “the top techs in the city” out for a test drive. Now his story changed since he actually felt the problem. We sat up another appointment for service. Rather than replace what fixed it the first time (yes, they fixed it once & I explained that to him repeatedly, then it started again after they did some recall work), they replaced something else. We get the car back & it still bucks & jerks. I call Bernie again. We talk & Bernie tells me he will check on a couple things & be in touch. Bernie calls me a few days later. He starts explaining to me how a new 6 speed transmission is different & it shifts different & what it is doing is normal & there can’t be anything wrong because there are no codes in the computer. At this point I realized he was going to be any help either as I don’t have a 6 speed transmission in the car they are working on even though he spent over 10 minutes on the phone trying to convince me it was normal for a 6 speed. I couldn’t get a word in to explain to him that our car doesn’t have a 6 speed & he quit returning my calls. I don’t care about how the 6 speed operates, fix the 4 speed that I have in my car. He tells me that since they worked on it already & there are no codes in the computer, that is all they can do. He told me they didn’t like working for free & they don’t get paid as much to do warranty work as non-warranty work, so it is not in their interest to work on it under warranty. What customer service! The car is under warranty & they won’t fix it. I’ve repeatedly asked them to get the manufacturer involved as it should be their responsibility, but why they won’t is beyond me. For the A/C issue, Bernie said that I have to run the air conditioner 24/7/365 to prevent the smell & should never allow outside air in through the vents because it introduces moisture to the system & causes mold. Seriously? I guess I can never drive at a constant speed either since the car bucks & jerks so bad. I challenged Bernie to show me other Malibu’s with the same engine & transmission that do the same thing, but he said he couldn’t find one. He’s right, because if this was normal as he now claims, everyone that owns one would be complaining & there would be discussions all over the internet. So I contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer contacted the Hendrick dealership on my behalf & they were told that the dealership couldn’t duplicate the problems. Funny, since I took the vehicle out with the service manager & 2 of the top techs in the city & showed them the problems, plus remember I also have a video of it bucking & jerking. They flat out lied to the manufacturer. It would be one thing if they would admit they just don’t know what it is, but they have went from trying to fix it, to saying that there is nothing wrong, to saying they don’t want to work for free, etc, etc. This was just not a good car buying experience or service experience. My requirements for a car were pretty simple, I wanted AWD or 4WD in an SUV or truck. A nice sales guy named Rich showed me a couple of cars, I was interested in one of them as it fit everything and was AWD or 4WD in an SUV or truck. A nice sales guy named Rich showed me a couple of cars, I was interested in one of them as it fit everything and was very nice, and they said they would be able to get it within my budget. so the next day i went back and got Johnnie as my salesman, magically they said another couple had just bought the car that i was interested in, so he showed me a different equinox i like it as well, and the price seemed to fit very well and said it was almost exactly like the other equinox that I was originally interested in. so as me and the finance guy are filling out the paperwork, a couple of times he said this 2 wheel drive and I said no it should be All wheel Drive and that is what it should be, he replies oh yeah it is I don't know why I keep thinking its a 2 wheel drive. so we finish the paperwork they are in a rush because its after 8 there closing time and they are rushing around trying to get me out of the dealership and on my way. So as I was driving around my truck i see other equinox with AWD on the back door, I think mine doesn't say that on the back door so out of curiosity I look under the rear axle and sure enough its a front wheel drive only. so I call the dealership back to let them know I am not pleased with what they sold me as its past the 3 days and now I'm stuck with it. so I feel as they did a bait and switch on me to get me a vehicle I didn't want and they could make more money on it by passing it as something it wasn't. As for they phone call I have never got a call back from the dealership manager I left a message with. I would recommend everyone stay away from this dealership. More

Salesman I asked for but didn't get to talk to called me a couple of days later and told me that car had sold .. I asked how the car could of sold when E-Bay auction was scheduled to end for 3 more days ,, He told me he didn't know it was just sold .. I had bought a car from this dealership 7 months before for my wife ,, I will not buy anything else from this dealer and wouldn't recomend any dealership that lies to its customers instead of telling the truth More
