I rolled into the Helms Bros dealership without a scheduled appointment 30 min before closing time in my 2009 CLK350 I recently bought from a used car lot. The navigation and bluetooth wasn't working, my owners manual said i would need genuine Mercedes Benz pieces to get them to work. I was trying to express this to the receptionist but seemed to only confuse her, luckily for me John Kunz was near by her desk and asked to see my car. John is very familiar with what was required for my car and within 20 min he had my navigation and my bluetooth working but he didn't stop there. John scanned my vin no. and informed me that I still have 4 mo left on my factory warranty, gave me directions to the service dept facility and told me to schedule an appointment at my convenience. I made the appointment with service the next morning, dropped off my car that afternoon and spoke to my new personal service advisor about what will be done to my car. The next morning I was informed the front brakes had no pad material left and my rotors were chewed up, that must have been the grinding noise i heard when I would step on the brakes hard. That afternoon I picked up my car after work and the car was buttoned up and tidy, new rotors and pads a bunch of little problems were fixed my bluetooth and navigation worked.......I can't believe how straight forward this whole experience was. I bought a 2004 GTO brand new and the dealership gave me nothing but drama, attitude and excuses every time something came up,and the prices are identical but the quality of this CLK and the way I was made to feel welcome at this dealership, is way better. John Kunz is a super professional! I'm buying my cars from this dealership from now on. Super happy. More

I would like to emphasize the excellent customer service I received by my new Service Consultant, Carmine Gonzalez. He was exceptionally receiptive to my concerns and informed me step by step as my car wen I received by my new Service Consultant, Carmine Gonzalez. Since I've been coming here, I've received nothing but the best service. Andy Lin is my preferred service advisor, but really everyone is so nice and professional. I do find the labor rate to be a little high, but really, it's high across the board across all dealers and makes these days. At least at Helms Bros., I get excellent service to back it up. My only problem is that I sometimes have trouble using the online service portal. I think it's an issue with Adobe Flash with the website or something. I've had this problem on several computers, so it has to be the site. Also, I was just looking to schedule an appointment for November 11th, but according to the online site, all of November is booked up. And as far as the new Saturday hours, the website shows nothing available well into 2012. I seriously doubt that's correct, and I assume it's some kind of website issue. If all of those appointments are in fact taken, then I guess there's a whole lot of people out there with too much time on their hands ;-) All in all these are really minor issues, and I am 100% satisfied in my dealings with Helms Bros., and with Mercedes-Benz in general. I should have bought a Benz years ago, but hey, better late than never. Truly outstanding service, keep treating me right, and I'll keep coming back! More
I went to Helms. Bros. service for a simple bulb change. When I arrive to the service dept. I waited around 10 mins. until someone acknowledged I was there for service. I can barely understand what he was saying because of his heavy Spanish accent and took him 3 tries to correctly copy my vin# off my car! I believe his name tag said Sergio. After that I proceeded to walk inside where no one opened the door for me and I had bags in both hands. I saw one valet just looking at me from the valet office while I struggled with the door and my bags. Well enough said about the lousy greeting! Afterwards I walked to the front desk where I was greeted with more attitude and to top it off the girl was on her cell phone. NICE! I was seated in the waiting area for around 20 mins. where I was entertained by Jerry Springer on the TV. Why would a MB dealership have this trash on the television? There was 1/2 a bagel in the basket and maybe 4 Dunkin donuts munchkins for the customers waiting to be called. To top it off the coffee machine was broken! After waiting and waiting I was finally called to see Keith. He seamed pleasant at first but when I told him I was only there for a bulb change his attitude changed right away. He tried to sell me things that I didn't need! I have a 2010 GLK350 and he was trying to sell me a brake flush?????? He also mentioned that my differential fluids should be changed. I am a woman driver so maybe he thought he can "pull the wool over my eyes" as they say. I just sat there and sounded like a broken record. I just kept on saying NO,NO,NO. After that battle Keith told me to have a seat in the waiting area and the bulb change wouldn't take more than 30 mins. Well after 45 mins. of waiting I walked up to a valet that was trying to fix the coffee machine and asked him if he can help me and please check on my car. He turns around and tells me to check at the front desk. He was more involved with fixing the coffee machine than helping me with my situation. At this point I was late for work and proceeded to go find Keith. He was not at his desk so I went to the front desk to ask the girl with the attitude what was happening with my car. She told me to go to the cashier's counter and ask the girl there what was happening with my car. It seemed like nobody was willing to help me in this place. I just wanted my car, fixed or not fixed so I can just leave!!!!! I proceeded to the cashier's counter where I was greeted with more attitude!!!!! I can't believe this place!!!!! The girl asked for my last name so I gave it to her and she goes "Oh! your car is in the car wash, Keith didn't tell you?". The cashier handed me my receipt and told me that I wouldn't be charged this time and to wait outside so the valet can bring me my car. What did she mean that I wouldn't be charged this time???? Keith was nowhere to be found so I can give him a piece of my mind. I guess I am not important enough to Keith or this dealership if I am not spending thousands of dollars. What a shame. I proceeded to go outside to get my car and I didn't see it. I waited and waited and my car wasn't there. Nobody came up to me to ask me what I was waiting for. Finally after waiting 10 mins. a valet comes out of the valet office and asks me what I was waiting for. He asked for my papers and I gave them to him. He went back into his office and left me standing there for another 5 mins. He finally comes back out and tells me that my car is in the wash. I was trying to be very patient and I just wanted my car so I can leave this horrible dealership. After waiting another 10 mins. I see a valet running towards the back of the parking lot and I see my truck parked all the way at the end of the lot. My car had been sitting there for the longest time and the valets had no clue that my truck was there. My truck was totally dirty like it wasn't cleaned at all!!!!! To top it off I have a light colored interior and my floor mats had greasy boot marks all over them. This is the WORST dealership I have been too and will tell all my friends about the horrible experience that I had there. All over a simple bulb change!!!!!! This dealership is a complete MESS!!!!!! I came into service for problems with my convertible top. It would not open or close. I did not make an appointment but recently (within 2 months) purchased my car pre owned. Needless to say...I was not happy when I arrived at the service department. From the moment I drove up I was greeted with nothing but smiles. The receptionist put me in contact with the service manager, Richard Grein who after re-assuring me that my vehicle would be taken care of had me sit with his assistant, Andrea. She had the shop Forman come up and look at my vehicle outside to see if any trouble shooting could be performed. He said that more time would be needed to properly diagnose the problem. Of course by this time I was already late for work. I was then offered a loaner vehicle and was assured I would have a complete diagnostic by 2pm. At 1:30 Andrea called me and told me the repairs to my car was complete! I arrived to pick up my car shorty after and again...was greeted with nothing but smiles. A valet walked me into the lounge to warm up with some tea. It was truly an exceptional service experience and I will be returning. More
Never go for service of your car to this Dealer. The sell aria personnel are very good and friendly. The Service aria is a place you sould never go too service your car. If you have a small job they will find a way to charge you as much as possible. Never go to their Service aria ever if you like your car. More
